Avatar f tn U know it sounds to me like ur brain is very low in Omega 3. Omega 3 is a good fat that can be found in large amounts in oily fish such as Mackeral... Omega 3 is scientifically known to improve concentration, lower anxiety and in effect 'wake the brain up'.
Avatar n tn I was hoping for any success stories with memory/concentration problems being improved with celexa. I am now on 40mg a day (20mg for about month, now 40 for about 2weeks) i was wondering when i can expect to really notice a difference, so i can decide if it is working well enough or i should try something else. Thanks!
Avatar n tn I am a year and half post tx and I am experiencing memory loss, processing information (use to have a wonderful sense of direction) and just not myself. I have a very hectic job and I feel there are times I cannot keep up--and yes my confidence has diminished...anyone out there feel the same way...???
Avatar m tn You should also aim to improve your memory through memory games and especially designed exercises. For this you will need to consult a neuro-psychiatrist. Also, the sinus issues have to be dealt with as chronic sinusitis too can affect the brain function. Please discuss with your treating doctors. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar m tn Hello, please i need help with my brian. I forget things in a short time, how do I improve my brain efficiency? I would prefer a natural treatment. Please I need help!!!!
Avatar n tn ( you could find out easily with a brain scan), it is also very unlikely that anxiety is compounding your memory problem..I suggest you spend some time with a psychotherapist to explore this....
2192208 tn?1346525832 Improving Memory or Cognitive Function - There are scientific evidence that G. biloba would be helpful. It is worth taking to see if it can improve memory and concentration in those suffering with memory problems. Not all results are positive, however. It seems that it might not be very effective for improving memory in people who don't have memory problems.
Avatar n tn it is again a natural supplement ,this works on a sub-molecular level to improve Focus, concentration and memory , you can google it for more information.
Avatar f tn This does not have any long term complications. The person just needs support from family members and has to learn to live with the memory loss. Memory loss is also a common symptom of frontal lobe injury. Damage to the frontal lobe of the brain causes frontal encephalomalacia. Encephalomalacia is not an illness. It is basically a softening of the brain matter as a result of an ischemia or infarction, degenerative changes, infection, craniocerebral trauma, or other injury.
Avatar m tn ve done cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, and alcohol. My issue is that I feel like I have memory and cognitive issues due to my past drug use. I have since graduated from college and hold a computer related job. I do well in my job, but can't get over the past drug use and blaming it for my perceived inadequacies. I do brain training programs like mindfit, sudoku, read books, yoga, work out etc. I am literally trying everything I can to try and regain my sharp memory and cognitive skills.
Avatar m tn I agree with that. Exercise was my go-to to keep my life in check, but I injured myself in the gym this semester (more than once - one lead to the other) and am consequently have/will be sitting out for awhile. Which is amplifying my anxiety/depression. boo.
Avatar m tn Anyway, my question is, would taking Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, Omega-3, or Nootropics be an effective way of increasing my ability to concentrate and retain information. Are there any harm with taking these all together, or even individually? Have they been proven effective? Or would forming a habit of drinking green tea, eating fish that is high in omega-3 and eating plenty of leafy greens as well as exercising on a daily basis be a more effective approach, or safer?
Avatar f tn Anyway i was just wondering if anyone has experienced a significant loss of memory, focus and just general day to day thinking ability with their autoimmune disease. I've never had the best memory, but lately i can't even hold on to stuff for 20 minutes. This is probably connected to how I feel like I am becoming progressively more "ditzy" and unable to concentrate. the other day i tried to put ice cream away...i put it in the toaster oven.
Avatar m tn But Sandra, is there any ways to improve his memory? Eat any particular type of food??
Avatar n tn How to improve my son Short Term memory? There are any kind of exerccisses? Diets ? etc ??
Avatar f tn Hello, I am wondering if anybody has a suggestion of medications or anything that works to help with memory problems associated with SCT that will not cause more memory problems or possible brain damage with long term use?
Avatar f tn Give yourself some time to clean out your system and start feeding your body some healthy foods and supplements. The memory thing will get better with time. Most of us have experienced this and it does get better. The "foggy" feeling is irritating and uncomfortable but does pass. I would also highly recommend some sort of recovery care as coke is well known to play some real head games with people. That will also help clear your head......

Avatar n tn I have a problem remembering anything past a day, I have forgotten holidays and even my own birthday before. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to help improve this. I also wonder if this could possibly be a sign of having ADD.
Avatar f tn Stress can trigger events or problems with memory. This is usually temporary. But persistent and progressive memory loss could be due to causes like medical and psychological conditions, trauma, medications, alcohol/drug abuse and infections. So, if your episodes are increasing and becoming troublesome, consult your doctor for an evaluation. In the meantime, you could try a lot of ‘brain teasers’ to improve your memory functions.
Avatar m tn Thank you for your response I don't use any drugs, no seizures depression is not an issue either but I do get little sleep after I finish my day before I go to sleep I stay up till 2:30-3:30 am everyday on the tv or computer and wake up around 7:30-8 if I don't have to wake up for college I usually get a couple more hours of sleep a night but 4 or 5 days a week im getting between 4.5-5.
Avatar m tn Intermittent periods of mild, high-pitched tinnitus lasting for several minutes are common in normal hearing persons. As it is persisting check with your doctor to rule out inner ear disorders. As for memory impairment, you could try a lot of ‘brain teasers’ to improve your memory functions. And do get adequate sleep; it’s supposed to improve cognitive functions. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn hey guys, I was diagnosed with short term memory back in high school...teachers were made aware of this issue & I was given extra time to take tests/study. A few years have passed since then, but I find that I seem to be forgetting things quicker than I used to. For instance, I couldnt even remember the name of a movie I saw with my friend two days ago or our conversation....sometimes conversations hours after they have occurred. is there anythinng I can do to help improve my memory???
Avatar n tn Cognitive confusion and memory loss are potential side effects of Clozaril. Sometimes this can improve over time but it depends. Best to discuss this with your psychiatrist and they can see what to do from there.
