He takes a multi vitamin, vitamin c, and a few herbal things like vegtable and fruit tablets daily. He just seems increasingly slower and confused. He seems to wander without purpose or goal in a supermarket or mall. He repeats almost every story and phrase during a call, doesn't always realize when something is funny or sad, just blank stares it. The Doc doesn't seem to acknoledge my concern.
I'm still young and I don't think its alzheimers. What can I do to improve my memory? Is it hormones or nutrition?...
The report always come back good with no health issues/problems. However in the last 2 weeks I have notice unknown bruising without no pain or memory of bumping that area of my body. Now that I think back, it has happened before, but I just brushed it off. However 2 weeks ago was a rather larger bruise in the inside of my leg near my knee and it took 2 weeks for to go away. Now 1 week later, I have another, although smaller, on upper arm. The bruising is dark purple and circular.
Tingly and numb fingers, weepy, irritable, memory loss, hair loss and exhausted all the time. How long will it take for these to improve? Also should I take a folic acid supplement to improve the folate, would this help with my symptoms? Thanks.
I already had problems with B12 aneamia, memory loss and anxiety. These tablets were being taken singly in morning and again at night, Once changed to 2 together in the morning, everything started to improve. I believe the weight loss I have 2 stone in the past 6 months is due to the tablets (plus nifedipiene for high blood pressure), not overly concerned although none of my clothes fit now.

Hi Rob On these tablets we end up worse than we were to start with. The tablets switch off parts of your brain so this will explain your memory loss, and your lack of concentration. I was on 150 mg's of effexor for nine years and came off cold turkey the GP's fault boy did i suffer but i am so glad now. I am currently weaning off dolsulipin very very slowly with the help of Cita you can contact them on the web. They help people very slowly wean off and get back to life.

I also take calcium tablets everyday now. My gums have stopped bleeding and my teeth are not as loose as before but they are slightly loose. I am very anxious. Can someone please tell me what I can do in my situation?
I lost the ability to mentally picture things, even memories, If I tried to visualize anything at all, all I could see was flashing colors and random images of things that had nothing to do with the memory I was attempting to imagine. After a year the physical damage had healed apart from the right eye but the mental damage remained and so started my quest for mental clarity which I am still in search of today.
Also a lot of research and positive findings regarding Myo-inositol. The other supplements all seem to have properties thought to improve egg/embryo quality. DHEA is quite a big one being used by many women, and some fertility clinics prescribe it to older women. The pycnogenol and Trans-Resveratrol are supplements that I notice quite a few doctors actually recommend.
I have chiari malformation and I've had 2 brain surgeries. I know that I don't have a good memory but I swear that I don't do or say the stuff he's claiming. Like for instance I've been waiting on an email and I've been checking for new ones. I didn't check yesterday afternoon, but my husband has access to my email. Well he's been checking my email and claims that I read an email out loud. I don't remember seeing it or reading it to him.
i hope it does not happen again Reliable evidence suggests that lecithin and choline may protect against liver damage and may help lower cholesterol levels. Their ability to improve memory and other cognitive functions is uncertain, however. More research is needed to document possible effects of lecithin and choline on mental functioning. Lecithin may be applied as a softener for dry skin. Risks No absolute prohibitions have been placed on the use of lecithin or choline.
I have been on BP tablets for ten yrs.last reading 2weeks ago140/82 which is good for my age which is 66. This thing grips my head and then concentrates in thid one spot like a burning sensation and then it moves along the centre. If it is hypertension I have read many articles about the subject and I am trying very hard to practice these things. Do you think it could be an anerism.
I had a real funny turn, brain fog real bad, and memory loss, couldnt remember what idid 2 minutes before so scared. I had a bit of a temperature too not high but just above normal. The doctor told me to stop the tablets to just see if it is maybe a virus i picked up from when i went to hospital or if it is the tablets causing bad herx. She came armed with print outs about herxing lol can you believe it. She wants me to take one lot of steroids.....
I was frequently drowsy at work, fatigued, had brain fog, concentration and memory problems. After a visit with my PCP, I was diagnosed with post-partum depression and put first on Prozac, then switched to Wellbutrin when my symptoms failed to improve as much as my doctor wanted. In January, I also started seeing a therapist who diagnosed me with an adjustment disorder (ie I was overwhelmed with the range of responsibilities on my plate), along with self esteem and social phobia problems.
Fast acting triptans come in orally disintegrating tablets or nasal sprays. I personally use Zomig Nasal Spray and find it works extremely well. I also have found great success with Maxalt-MLTs. Statistically, compared to the other triptans, Imitrex Injection, Zomig Nasal Spray and Maxalt-MLTs have the highest success rates for total pain relief in the shortest amount of time.
He suggested just taking the morning dose, so I am now taking only half as much and only in the morning.... even though Slow Release tablets. suppose the dose is getting very low by bedtime. I still have trouble-mares. Anyone else associate dreams as a BB side-effect? What have you dont' to stop the problem? Is a channel blocker better in this regard. I take BB to reduce my HR, my BP is fine without the BB.
4th-Maxine Sloan pain is still not under control, having a very bad time and was being sick today which didn't help. Won't be out of hospital until at least early next week, maybe longer if they can't find a mix of meds of that work Aug 5th-Maxine Sloan had to have another ct scan and a lumbar puncture today. Lying on my back after the lumbar puncture is very painful.
), experiencing extreme cold in my hands and feet which takes longer than usual to get rid of when I get into bed at night, and my memory seems to be shot. I went to my doctor around a week ago, and he claimed it was some kind of peripheral neuropathy and gave me anti-inflammatories, telling me to take them for 2 weeks and see if it got better. I've been on them for a week and am seeing no change, any thoughts?
Harvard University and Chinese universities have done research that has shown that it can improve cognitive impairment and may be a bit safer. I'm not taking it currently as it has the same mechanism of action as Aricept (acetylcholinesterase inhibitor). It is also said to have neuroprotective effects and crosses the blood brain barrier more readily than other drugs.
Oh, and another choice that I can think of would be to switch to another tricyclic antidepressant, but one that came in tablets, rather than capsules only. Another tricyclic -- in other words, a drug in the exact same family -- would probably be fairly similar in it's effects to nortryptyline, and it might or might not help you any better with the early morning awakening.
