imitrex

I've had a sleep study done, nothing there. 4 CAT scans have not revealed anything either. Used Imitrex and muscle relaxers with no effect. After the headache runs its course, the top of the head is very sensitive. I'm in Central Florida. If you can suggest a treatment, a Clinic or a known doctor in this field, ANYTHING, it would be appreciated.
What a great link (hep c survival guide) I read it all and bookmarked it, as I am certain I will reference again. I have been having the dull headaches too. I find I am more sensitive to noise, always asking someone to turn down the tv or radio. I have always been hesistant to take things for headaches but will not delay in asking for something if it gets really bad.
I am presently seeing a neurologist and am on nortriptyline 40mg daily and take Imitrex 100mg when I get migraines-I also sometimes take excedrin migraine. . I am really at a loss what to do next. Ialso get very tired and achy before a really bad migraine and feel completely spaced out. For the past two weeks I have had a horrible migraine. It will sometimes go away with treatment but only to return later in the day.
Has anyone ever taken migraine medication (ex. imitrex) while on fertility medications, this is prior to the tww?
Hi, I can tell you a little about the buprenex. It is used for pain management or for detox. You can use it as a maintenance med for chronic pain. You can take it sublingually or by injection (ask Kip if you can take it in pill form). Not sure what the rules are for each state. In Florida you can go to a pain specialist for a prescription. I used it to wean off of Oxycontin and I hated it.
I was having 8 vials drawn a week when I was in the trial. I did prefer the butterfly though, because it seemed to be less painful of a process since it doesn't add extra movement to the needle each time they fill a vial and move on to the next. With the butterfly the vial changing is done away from your arm and the regular needle gets moved ever so slightly when they exchange one vial for the next. My blood was flowing good so it didn't seem to take too long.
although I'd never had migraines before. Some have found relief with migraine meds, I tried Imitrex but had a bad reaction. They did take the headaches away, there are other brands too; ask your doc. For me I take 3 Excedrin Migraine and put cold packs on my head and lie down for a while. It works for me. Be Well...
Thank you ladies! I really appreciate your input. Yes, I have had sinus issues. The ENT Dr. told me that I had sinusitis. I had 2 sinus surgeries about 3 years ago. Up until about a year and a half ago, it appeared my sinus issues were over. My sinus issues came back I started getting dull headaches. I thought it was stress so I dismissed them. OTC meds weren't working at all.
but still, this will only be another one or two vials... and it will all be drawn at the same time) so you don't have to wait around for them to draw multiple samples from different sites or anything like that. It is pretty much the simplest blood work you'll get done!
