could anyone give me ideas as to where or who i would contact to get some patient assistance for acute hep c treatment? I am not working, cannot wait on s.s. disability. I try to do some construction work when available, but it is really rough.

I don't have much of a question, but wanted to introduce myself. I've periodically had migraines throughout my life, but they were never very often. Without the patient assistance program I probably wouldn't be SVR - when my insurance refused to let me extend, they coudln't have made it easier and didn't even make me feel bad about needing them to help.

I am also on Copaxone - can I suggest that you talk with them again at Shared Solutions and ask what criteria they use for patient assistance? They fund for people without insurance or underinsured through NORD - national organization of rare disease. Unfortunately it sometimes takes more than one phone call to connect with the right people at SS to get help. If you can't work it out with SS you might talk to your neurologist about other options.

what is the difference between the imitrex injections and pills? Which is more effective and prescribed more?

There are so many drug assistance programs out there for us in the US who are not on medicare/medicaid or live in Massachussetts. I'm thinking it might be helpful to start a thread of some of these so everyone is taking full advantage of the drug companies' generosity. does either imitrex or maxalt contain caffeine? I was taking Maxalt for migraines and it worked great! Now my insurance has decided I need to try Imitrex before they will approve coverage for the Maxalt. The Imitrex took about 2 hours to have any effect, but eventually my headache subsided. Since then I have had recurring headaches for 4 days.
