Common Questions and Answers about Imitrex inhaler

imitrex

my mom takes these and sometimes they work and sometimes they dont. I tried the imitrex nasal inhaler (yuck, felt like a meth drip) and it didnt work for me.
Oh, caregiver222 is right about Walmart. They do have a "sample size" inhaler for around $4. It only has about 60 puffs though. I am thinking it is Ventolin, but it could be something else. Take care.
at that time my daughter was 11 years old, and I was recently separated from my hubby (albeit we did get back to gether 3 yrs later) My doc prescribed Imitrex, both the pill and the little inhaler, so I could catch it before it got blasting. Once it got going, it was.....go to a dark room, lay down, close eyes, no sound, no light, and a cold washcloth on my face, and still sometimes I became a 911 and would end up in ER and then they would give me "the drip" whew,.....
CT, MRI, and spinal tap were negative. Drugs tried were Percocet, Imitrex, Vicodin. The only thing that helped was Morphine given in the hospital. My doctor did not feel the headaches were related to the Inteferon. I disagree. I finally stopped the drug therapy. This year my doctor put me back on the Interfereon with Ribavirin. Three shots a week, six pills a day. In January after three weeks of therapy I developed difficulty breathing. Blood work revealed I had anemia.

Vitamin C Supplements for deficiencies and Anemia - Xanax 1mg as needed for insomnia and panic attacks/PTSD - Hydroxyz HCL 50mg as needed for Allergies - Zyrtec 20mg/day for Allergies -Albuterol for Asthma, either in inhaler form or nebulizer - I used Afrin 1x per day for 3 days (every other) - so do not believe this contributes - Excedrin & Imitrex as needed for Migraines I do not smoke cigarettes, I do not do drugs and I also do not drink alcohol.
Unfortunately Excedrin migraine doesn't help, I tried that before finally going in and getting on a preventative. I take Topamax as a preventative and 100mg Imitrex as needed for breakthrough migraines- up to 2 in a 24-hour period which use to work but doesn't seem to anymore.
Been getting horrid migraines. I ran out of Imitrex so yesterday took a bunch of Aspirin, probably 15+. Of course to me this was no biggie since I'm used to taking more than I'm supposed to of my drugs. But the migraine got worst, finally went to ER for a shot of Imitrex (asked for no narcs, which I guess was good). But now I have very bad ringing in my ears. It's been 18 hrs since I took the last aspirin, still here. I'm afraid it might be permanent.
after steroids, antibiotics, and the frequent use of a home nebulizer, my breathing was back to normal after a few weeks, except for the i do have to use my inhaler still, but very rarely. soon after, i noticed chronic pain in my muscles, lower back, and joints and TMJ symptoms. i was also having extremely heavy periods that would last about 3 weeks, and was passing baseball sized clots.
requip for restless leg syndrome; Imitrex for migraines; ativan for anxiety and luvox for OCD/skin picking. I was on amitriptiline for headaches but stopped that a few days ago to limit exacerbation of constipation. I also have asthma but don't have very much trouble with it... i have a Pro-Air inhaler if needed) A few months ago (in April), I started having severe abdominal pain. Through April, May, and until early June, I went to the emergency room 4 or 5 times due to severe pain.
I have suffered from migraines since about age 16 and was seen/treated by a neurologist who tried several different meds. I was on the Imitrex self inject for the lomgest prior to my current med. As the symptoms worsened I saw my FP and he did a number of tests that discovered a Pos. ANA Titer. This is when he let me know that it *could* be Lupus. So I started my long relationship with my Rheumatologist. Since I started seeing her, I had many other symptoms turn up.
Starts gym and within 2 days is coughing nonstop so back to allergist during one of the shot days. He says exercise induced asthma and gives her inhaler. Well, back to school she goes and does decent through september but misses days due to fatigue, headache, etc. October comes around and at the beginning the whole family gets laryngitis. The rest of us recover but she is back to falling asleep in band playing her clarinet and headache starts everyday when she is in band.
I am having the same symptoms, minus sciatica. I'm also an anemic. I first felt the symptoms after drinking a diet caffeine free pepsi. I thought it might have something to do with the artifical sweetner so I stopped the pepsis. I'm still having the same symptoms.
i have had mri's and they have shown no damage, but she did say that imitrex is not recommended for people who get this type of migraine, so i no longer use it. i was wondering if anyone else has had their migraines effect their ability to function at a job, and how they have dealt with that. i'm also wondering if there is anyone else out there who has been on inderal (beta blockers) for an extended period of time, like i've been?
the Imitrex (injector or, I think, sub-linqual), and the Stadol inhaler. Stadol is considered to be be quite a powerful painkiller, so you can expect some fast relief from it.
He talks about buying up every Benzedrex nasal inhaler in sight, breaking them open and eating the blotter paper from each of them soaked in benzedrine (yeah, real benzedrine!). Imagine how popular Benzedrex inhalers would be today if they still contained real benzedrine! I guess the beat 50's were, in some ways, more innocent times than today. I remember using a Benzedrex inhaler as a 12-year old inthe early 60's and feeling all kinds of good.
) My migraines have moved from above my eyes to behind my eyes and Imitrex is no longer working! All pregnancy tests are negative and I know that the booklet says that this can happen, but my goodness! No thank you. I will be switching back to my TriCylcen immediately!
