Since I started to wean off my Xanax addiction I quit taking the Vicodin and Tramadol, except for 1 day had bad migraine and none Imitrex pills, my insurance only covers 9 pills and paying them is more than 200 dollars. The point is that I do not feel side effects or W/D effects from quitting the Vicodin and Tramadol. It this possible? I didn't even knew Tramadol was an opiate until I joined this community.

If you must take tramadol, do not take it at the same time as fluoxetine. Try to take tramadol and imitrex a few hours apart from the fluoxetine.

does either imitrex or maxalt contain caffeine? I was taking Maxalt for migraines and it worked great! Now my insurance has decided I need to try Imitrex before they will approve coverage for the Maxalt. The Imitrex took about 2 hours to have any effect, but eventually my headache subsided. Since then I have had recurring headaches for 4 days.

I am so glad that you asked about imitrex! I take a triptan, like imitrex, and personally I think that triptans are the best treatment for acute migraines, and they are also the most prescribed medication for acute migraines.

s experience with the imitrex has been - good or bad - and if they have any other tips of things I can try (non-medicinal) to reduce the pain, etc., of the migraines. Fortunately, (knock on wood), I haven't had a migraine since I saw my doc on thursday, so I haven't tried the imitrex yet. Yes I have migraines and back pain as well. I take Imitrex for my migraines and Ibupropin. I also have a migraine variant that started in my 20's and I was throwing up all night and stomach pain but no migraine to start with. Most migraines do not come with aura. Take that into consideration when you get a headache that feels exactly like your regular migraine just without an aura. That means you are having a migraine. You don't need an aura to have a migraine. Take your migraine medication for a migraine.

Today I went to see a neurologist today, and hopefully try to get him to get an MRI of my pituitary gland and thyroid, but he only prescribed some Imitrex (100mg), Propranolol (20mg), tramadol (50mg), and ibuprofen (800mg) for migraine headaches, I get them on and off, sometimes they are pretty bad but anyway that was all, and he didn’t see any other reason to have an MRI done.

Ask your doctor for Imitrex 100mg, is not narcotic, non addictive and it takes away your migraine right away. I'm also a migraine surferer and have tried a lot of medications and Imitrex works wonders.

Hi, I am new here and looking for a little support as I decided to detox from vicoprofen and tramadol 2 days ago. Im not sure if it was a good idea to do both at once but here I am. Ive been on the two for migraines and neck pain for about 2 years and I knew they werent doing me much good all the way aroun. Is it safe to take Lexapro and Imitrex? There is a warning on the package against this but I thought I would ask the professionals first.

Imitrex is also not the only triptan on the market, there are quite a few. If you do end up using the Imitrex and you feel you have an adverse reaction to it, one that is not life-threatening but one that you do not enjoy... there are still other triptans to try.

I have suffered exploding head syndrome (also known as migraines) for many, many years. so there is no reason to become an addict or to crave the medication, but ones body will still become highly dependent on the medication to a point that if you take the body off the medication abruptly you can cause seizures and even death... Now I find that I am sensitive to it along with just aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and naproxen sodium. My physician prescribed Tramadol to try, but that also makes me feel bum. Does anyone know of any medication that might work? I don't really want to go into the heavy-duty meds, as I've never liked feeling "medicated". Otherwise, the heating pad, ice pack, and self-massage help. Accupuncture?

I have missed out on so much the last 2 years because of my addiction to lortab/tramadol. I lost my father to cancer I sat everyday watching him getting weaker and weaker, and right beside him I emotionally did as well.

I will tell you..Imitrex helped me sooo much..and funny thing..when I divorced the a$$ I was married to,my migraines went away..LOL..I'm serious..Now I have maybe 1 a year..but i have noticed that I have already had 2 now since june..I think it's the same cause..
