I was prescribed imiquimod to be applied 3 days a week but heard apple cider vinegar does a great job of clearing warts. Is it a good idea to apply the imiquimod mon,wed, fri night and apple cider vinegar tues, thurs, saturday nights? Anyone tried this or have any results from either one they would share?
I was prescribed Aldara (imiquimod) to get rid of a few perianal HPV warts since cryotherapy was only making it worse. After only about 2 weeks of usage almost all symptoms of the warts were gone however I now have perianal psoriasis in its place. That is one of the side-effects of imiquimod and it mainly strikes people whom are genetically prone to having psoriasis.

Ive been on aldara (imiquimod) 5% for approximately 2 months now. I cant notice if im seeing any improvement with my genital warts. However, ive developed a ridiculous rash around the application site. which is extremely red and irritated. The rash looks almost like if i ran really fast and slid my knee on a rug, except its around the base of my penis. Its sometimes itchy and i feel as if at sometimes its developing a particular scab. will this redness ever go away?
getting the vaccine after you've had warts is a little late. typically if you've had warts, we no longer recommend the vaccine. you can discuss with your provider if it's worthwhile getting the vaccine to help prevent future infection with the 2 types associated with oral and genital cancers.

I was successfully treated with Imiquimod cream for 3 weeks and confirmed that all visible warts had cleared. 6 months later I noticed 2 bumps in the perianal region (not where my original outbreak occurred and very unlike the vaginal warts) and sought treatment at Planned Parenthood where the practitioner removed them with TCA thinking that they could be HPV warts. 2 months ago, I noticed a very tiny bump near my anus and went in to Planned Parenthood again to have that looked at.
I got my first genital warts about 4 years ago. I had several that popped up and spread pretty rapidly at first (like 6-7 of them) and got them burned off by a doctor. Then I had a second outbreak with several more, and again got them burned off. The doctor then prescribed me with imiquimod in case any others popped up after that.
The warts were surgically removed and the area treated with imiquimod. There were no further warts and he visited his proctologist a couple more times and all is ok
In October 2014 he was diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma stage 2. He was treated with 4 rounds of chemo (etoposide, Adriamycin, vinecristyn, citoxan and bleomycin). Thank god he is in remission and is a healthy guy today.
Do we still have to worry about HPV present in his body?

Ive been using imiquimod for almost the full term. The area affected is between my scrotum and inner thigh crease. In the matter of a night i got redness and sores. Ive stopped using it and wash daily. It doesnt help that its right where my jeans and underwear ride. Any help in relief?

So I have genital warts obviously caused by HPV. I got the TARO brand Imiquimod cream to remove them. It seems to be working, but now where that portion of the shaft that is being treated makes contact with the scrotum, it's causing what seems to be jock Itch. Is this possible or just an unlucky coincidence?
First and perhaps most important, your situation is not all that unusual or atypical. Anal warts are less frequent in straight men than in gay men and women, but they are by no means uncommon. Some but not all are associated with genital warrs.
I have no familiarity with anal warts being cased by HPV-1 and related strains; my standard response to similar questions on this forum is that anal warts are almost always caused by the sexually transmitted genital HPV types.
could he be wrong? there is only one skin tag/wart (so theres no "cluster") and it hasn't changed or grew in over a year. My fiancé hasn't shown any signs of any type of growth near or on her genitals. The Dr. prescribed me imiquimod cream which I have used as directed for the past two weeks and I have not seen any change whatsoever. Are skin tags resistant to imiquimod cream?
