I was diagnosed with a precancerous lesion on my face that is a light pink color close to my mouth. The doctor performed a light cryosurgery and told me it would blister, scab and heal to remove the spot. I had the procedure done on Monday with a small blister forming. By Thursday of that week it had never scabbed and looked the same as it did before I had the procedure done.
Can anyone describe their experiences with Imiquimod? I am on the 3.75% cream which my doctor has told me to use every other day for a month. In the first 2 weeks, nothing happened, only just a couple days ago I noticed a very slight indication that the medication might be working, but I'm still not sure. I have about 20-30 very small warts, and notice 2 or 3 of them showing a bit of redness and drying up a bit. Still not sure if this is due to the medication.
(I already have oral HSV1)
2) I have HPV with a small genital wart that I am treating with Imiquimod cream but has not yet gone away (the wart is on the other side of my penis, not the part of the penis that rubbed against her as I laid on my back, so I am sure the wart did not touch her) What is her risk of contracting genital warts from me???
3) I would like to continue applying the Imiquimod cream, but I also want to monitor my penis over the next 14 days for any signs of herpes.
It started as a single tiny pimple like bump on my penis glans. After starting treatment with imiquimod, the lesion started to disappear, but as soon as it did, three others appeared on the other side of the penis glans. And after those disappeared, another one appeared...Is it common to new lesions appear during treatment? To make matters worse, I am in an acute Herpes infection, already diagnosed.
I was prescribed Aldara (imiquimod) to get rid of a few perianal HPV warts since cryotherapy was only making it worse. I started using imiquimod last week for hpv warts around my anus and it has been working but I am unable to walk without wanting to puke due to pain. Can't use the bathroom without pain either. I have a small genital wart on my foreskin and I started to use imiquimod cream recently . The instruction says that I should use the imiquimod cream during bedtime . However , I have more erections during sleep (than day time ), the imiquimod cream might be wiped off by the underwear when I have an erection. I recently found two small condylomas around my anus and was referred to a proctologist for treatment. I paid him a visit this past Thursday and he froze the warts and applied something for the pain then prescribed an ointment to be applied locally by myself during the next couple of days. I have a standing appointment now for this Monday
However, besides treating the symptoms is there something I should additionally be prescribed by him?
i just found out that i have genital wart my doctor said that after treatment it wounld not recur unless i came in contact with in again is this true i would greatly appreciate your answer
