Dear doctors ,
I have a small genital wart on my foreskin and I started to use imiquimod cream recently . The instruction says that I should use the imiquimod cream during bedtime . However , I have more erections during sleep (than day time ), the imiquimod cream might be wiped off by the underwear when I have an erection. In this case , Can I use imiquimod during the day instead of bedtime ?
Aldara is used for several skin conditions. Your doctor will tell you where to apply Aldara cream, and how often and for how long to apply it for your condition.
Aldara should be applied just before bedtime and left on the skin for 6-10 hours. If your skin condition reappears you need to talk to your doctor.
A couple of weeks ago i discovered warts on my genital area at the base of my penis and was diagnosed formally by my dr. I was prescribed imiquimod to be applied 3 days a week but heard apple cider vinegar does a great job of clearing warts. Is it a good idea to apply the imiquimod mon,wed, fri night and apple cider vinegar tues, thurs, saturday nights? Anyone tried this or have any results from either one they would share?

Aldara is a cream used for topical treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer, and is thought to act through stimulation of anti-tumour immunity. The active ingredient, imiquimod, has been shown to stimulate toll-like receptor 7. Aldara also induces psoriasis-like lesions when applied to naive murine skin, and as such is used as a mouse model for psoriasis. Here we find that in naive murine skin, Aldara induces inflammation largely independently of toll-like receptor 7.
Can anyone describe their experiences with Imiquimod? I am on the 3.75% cream which my doctor has told me to use every other day for a month. In the first 2 weeks, nothing happened, only just a couple days ago I noticed a very slight indication that the medication might be working, but I'm still not sure. I have about 20-30 very small warts, and notice 2 or 3 of them showing a bit of redness and drying up a bit. Still not sure if this is due to the medication.

3) I would like to continue applying the Imiquimod cream, but I also want to monitor my penis over the next 14 days for any signs of herpes. Is it possible that application of Imiquimod cream could delay/alter the appearance of HSV2 lesions, so that I would not know if I have acquired HSV2??? I know the blood test for herpes would not be affected by Imiquimod, but I'm wondering about the appearance of herpes lesions. Can I continue applying the Imiquimod??
I was referred to a gynecologist who suggested trying imiquimod. I decided to try tea tree oil, before trying imiquimod. The tea tree seemed to increase the itch, so I filled the imiquimod. If you are using imiquimod cream to treat genital and anal warts, you will probably apply it once a day for 3 days a week (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). Imiquimod cream should be left on the skin for 6 to 10 hours. Continue using imiquimod until all of the warts are healed,

3, I also have an ulcers on my penis a week ago which can be seen when it's wet (it become white), and it disappear after 5 days. I kind of thought it's because of the allergy of Imiquimod. But does herpes appear 3 months after the sex?
I was prescribed Aldara (imiquimod) to get rid of a few perianal HPV warts since cryotherapy was only making it worse. After only about 2 weeks of usage almost all symptoms of the warts were gone however I now have perianal psoriasis in its place. That is one of the side-effects of imiquimod and it mainly strikes people whom are genetically prone to having psoriasis.

Imiquimod can cause skin redness and fungal infection but it is less likely to cause blood in semen or hematospermia. It can occur due to many conditions such as infections, swellings (inflammations), cysts, stones & other obstructive lesions, and benign or non-benign tumors of the organs of the genitourinary system (involving the bladder, urethra, the testicles, the seminal vesicles, the epididymis, the prostate gland etc).
I started using imiquimod last week for hpv warts around my anus and it has been working but I am unable to walk without wanting to puke due to pain. Can't use the bathroom without pain either. So I decided to take a look and I have blisters by my vagina due to the medicine! Its unbelievably painful! What do I do?!
found this while checking how to resolve fever, nausea and vomiting due to imiquimod intf/production.last week i used 1000mg paracetamol but fever did not lower from 38° and felt a little better only after vomiting
my guess is 1000mg of paracetamol taken 6-12hrs before intf pick and so before fever, nausea, chills and pains will prevent feeling so bad and vomiting?
I am experiencing similar side effects as a result of the Imiquimod treatments. I went to the doc complaining of two small warts, since starting the cream, I have several red spots around the base of my penis. I don't know if I am applying it carelessly (it's hard to get it only on the warts) or maybe too often.
As far as the duration, the instruction from my Dr and the packaging says to use no longer than 16 weeks. So i would give until then for some changes to happen.
I bought and used Compound W last night and it is half gone. Can it spread to my young children, under 4? Can I use the Compound W again today?

I've got what I think is a pretty unusual case and I'm looking for some guidance.
I'm a straight male with no history of any anal sexual exposure. I was recently diagnosed with an anal wart (nothing on my genitals), which obviously shocked me. The doctor agreed it was an odd presentation so he did a biopsy to confirm.
The lab confirmed it was a wart during biopsy but apparently felt something looked odd so they did subtype testing as well.
