461838 tn?1255790216 I have posed the question of tylenol vs ibuprofen, and people here have weighed in generally warning against ibuprofen. Even tylenol, you would not want to exceed 2 or 3g per day. Basically, ask you hepatologist about any medications you are taking, including OTC's. Avatar f tn Dogs can tolerate aspirin well, but I'd give him the low-dose aspirin or children's aspirin, 82mg vs 325mg of the full-strength. Also, get aspirin that is enteric coated, this will make it easier on the dog's stomach. There is a special aspirin called Ascriptin that is coated with Maalox. I don't know if it comes in the low-dose variety or not, but this would be ideal if it does. If not, just look for low-dose, enteric coated aspirin.

Tylenol is very helpful against fever, ibuprofen is ver helpful against infammation, eg of the ankles. Aspirin and ibuprofen increase the risk of severe bleeding, especially if one has low platelets. All these substances should be taken with care. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cKzJOmVhjs Fore migraine there are much better specialised drugs, the triptanes. Migraine is not simple headache.
Avatar f tn I always used ibuprofen prior to getting pregnant because Tylenol wasn't strong enough. However 2 rounds of 1000mg seems to get the job done. Haven't taken me than that in a day.
