Avatar f tn My sister is 7 months pregnant nd she keeps getting headache what can she take to prevent it?
1909342 tn?1321993880 I usually take one Tramadol ( 50 mg ) a day for a somewhat chronic pain in my neck, back and shoulders, since I cannot afford physical therapy at the time. Yesterday I took a lot of Ibuprofen and Paracetamol instead, because I had an important exam at the University and didn't want to be groggy. I am concerned, when to start taking Tramadol again or going with the combination of Ibuprofen and Paracetamol instead, since Ibuprofen also has an effect on inflammations. Am I taking to much?
Avatar m tn ve been taking paracetamol for the headache ALMOST daily for the past 4 weeks. I then heard this could be a symptom of brain cancer. My GP is phone-calling me tomorrow morning. One morning I woke up, and my head was very sore. I took paracetamol and it cleared away. Problem is, I still have a minor headache when wakening up and it persists throughout the day...Paracetamol/ibuprofen seem to help. I'm a hypocondriac, so not too sure if I'm imagining symptoms. Could I have a tumour?
Avatar f tn ok no its not like that, come to find out today i am 12 weeks pregnant. This morning i took ibuprofen for my bad headache 3 of them, Then later in the day i drank a big size monster. After i got some side pain and a headache again, i took a test and added up my ''missed'' period which i thought was normal since sometimes its off and on and learned im about 12 weeks. Could i have a miscarrage from these?
Avatar n tn He should consume plenty of water, Paracetamol for fever and Ibuprofen for body aches and headache. If the symptoms do not improve please do consult your physician.
Avatar n tn Since yesterday I am running high fever 103-104f which does not come down without cold sponging, and is not responding to paracetamol/ibuprofen. I got blood work done for CBC/ESR, LFT, malarial parasite, typhoid/widal etc. All normal/negative. Could this be ARS? I also have a horrible headache and my appetite has fallen to shockingly low levels. I am barely able to eat 1/5th of what I usually eat.
543518 tn?1245322027 This is what Dr. D. replied to a similar question on the expert forum "Tylenol, contrary to popular belief is OK to take if you have HCV, just no more than 4-6 per day. Ibuprofen is also good if your stomach is OK with it and you take it with food. Stronger stuff like opiates are also OK if necessary, but easy to become addicted to if you are not careful. DTD" BTW, codeine is an opiate... Codeine is usually prescribed together with either paracetamol or ibuprofen.
Avatar n tn is it okay to use ibuprofen for a child of 5 years (he has got severe headache and very high body temperature) who is on tegretol and keppra medication?
Avatar f tn Tylenol (acetaminophen). They're safe during pregnancy. Don't take any ibuprofen. Try to take them when you start feeling the headache come so you're not combating a full blown headache. Showers and naps helped me as well as drinking lots of water.
Avatar n tn s in the background, about to start but not quite there. The headache is an aching, gnawing kind of pain. Paracetamol doesn't seem to work on it and ibuprofen seems to have a limited effect. I tried a paracetamol-codeine tablet the other day (500mg paracetamol, 8mg codeine) and that didn't really quell the headache entirely either. I haven't tried aspirin. Nothing seems to bring on or relieve the headache, it seems to happen randomly.
Avatar f tn I started taking ibuprofen and paracetamol which made no difference what so ever so i brought dicolphenic and paracetamol with codeine, this dulls the pain a little but its very much still there especially when i move my head of move my eyes. I am concerned as ive never had a headache this bad and the girl i work with has just been diagnosed with mennigitus. Should i go to a&e or do anything different?
Avatar f tn 10weeks and I have a huge headache. I know I can't take ibuprofen but is there anything I can take for it or do?!
Avatar n tn Ugh, ya. It's so hard. Here is a pretty comprehensive list of different types of headaches: https://www.webmd.com/migraines-headaches/migraines-headaches-basics#1. Even in the absence of stuffiness, could he have sinus issues?
Avatar m tn And now since that i always get a heaviness/achiness in that arm, which makes me worry a bit and i just end up taking pain killers thinking im having a migraine. Im getting worried about these headaches and the amount of tablets im taking ibuprofen/paracetamol, I need advice?
Avatar f tn Blocked sinus is a common symptom in pregnancy. I found that vicks worked best for me. You probably shouldn't be taking ibuprofen... Switch to paracetamol and maybe try something with loratadine in it? Loratadine is an active ingredient in certain antihistamines. It will help dry up the mucus and hopefully that will help with your sinus problems.
Avatar m tn ve always been baffled by the fact that I get particularly bad headaches on a Saturday - which is when I tended to knock back the ibuprofen. The pattern then was have a headache on Saturday, take ibuprofen, blood in saliva on the Monday - rest of the week often a little brown discoloration or else fine. I have had my teeth cleaned, gums have receded a little but otherwise no problems were noted.
Avatar n tn it does go away momentarily when i take paracetamol or ibuprofen, but it does come back. it is like a sharp pain, not throbbing. I have been drinking at least 2L of water a day, because i thought i might have been dehydrated, but it hasn't improved. I haven't had my eyes tested for a long time.
Avatar f tn The headaches are common and will go away. I used to use a warm washcloth on my forehead.
Avatar f tn No you cant take ibuprofen you can paracetamol omand codeine
Avatar f tn I usually take two paracetamol how many should i take now I'm 3 weeks pregnant
