Avatar f tn Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage,but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.

Avatar m tn since nov 2010 i have been in and out of hospital 3 times for the same symptoms very painful swollen testecalls each time given ciprofloxacin 500mg tablets,diclofenac sodium 50mg, for six weeks also told to go to st marys hosp to be checked for std have done so and am please to say all clear. been back to my dr for follow on check only to be given more diclofenac to take for another six weeks WHY?.

Avatar m tn Hi, welcome to the forum, Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including aspirin, diclofenac and ibuprofen, are associated with an allergic adverse effects, ranging from mild rash to life-threatening allergic reactions. In such cases it becomes difficult to select appropriate pain killer. The next we usually recommend is paracetamol (she is also allergic to this drug). The reason for such allergy is cross reactivity which is seen in this class of drugs.

If the site of injection feels warm or hot to touch,probably it is the beginning of infection,in that case see a doctor for antibiotics prescription. bye and take care!
Avatar m tn 2 weeks after my last unprotected encounter, i have been experiencing drowsiness, and between 7pm and 8PM i start to get really sleepy which is not my usual. It's 4PM and the whole day today i feel like i wanted to lie down and sleep. i remember going to sleep last night at 8pm and waking up at 4am today. I think that is enough sleep, yet it feels like i wanted more.
Avatar m tn Please try anti inflammatory drugs like diclofenac, ibuprofen etc along with hot compression and topical counterirritants. Avoid thick pillow, If no response is seen, do consult doctor and get Chest X ray, ECHO heart done. Do you get difficulty in breathing when you lie down?
Avatar m tn Hello, Apply warm compresses twice or thrice daily and take some anti inflammatory pain killers like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac. None of these conditions are fatal but get them evaluated from a urologist as they have to be ruled out. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Avatar f tn Hello, I am an athlete and due to often strains or injuries i need to take non steroid anti inflammatory pills for a few days like ibuprofen, diclofenac, lornoxicam, etoricorib. Even from the first pill, i feel physical exhaustion and then water retention. I am also short of breath, sometimes i feel sleepy and also sometimes my vision acuity decreases. Of course, the symptoms disappear after a few days i finish the therapy. Could someone tell me how to deal with these side effects? Thank you!
Avatar m tn She has gradually moved from Paracetamol and Ibuprofen to Co-Codemol and Diclofenac Sodium, and most recenly to Dihydrocodeine 30mg. She hates taking medicine, but has been on this stuff around the clock since the injury; yet the headaches occasionaly 'burn through' the medicine. She describes the pain as equivalent with childbirth contractions. In the space of 17 days, she has been to A&E 3 times and the local GP surgery a couple of times.
