ibuprofen

Avatar f tn Like... they said at 10mg there are very few side-effects and at 20mg there are noticeable side-effects. But, you obviously don't want to change the dose on your own, as this can be extremely dangerous! But, it would be worth talking to your doctor about if the side-effects don't go away fast enough. Although... most of the time... with SSRIs in general I find, it can take 2 to 4 weeks for side-effects to go away and then they're gone for good.
Avatar f tn sorry to hear your hubby is having a hard time. sounds like he is having some of the common side effects. There is nothing that can boost platlets but many docs let them go really low before lowering or stopping the meds. Try and get back on the full strength of interferon ASAP! Probably the most common side effect is the itching. I have it as well and it is horrible. I have found some relief with a prescription med called Atarax.
Avatar f tn The drug info says these can be side effects and i am wondering if these are a forever side effect or just my body getting adjusted. The doc said it take 6 days to be therapeutic so why would i be getting the side effects now?
4862508 tn?1360796307 I've been taking magnesium glycinate for over a year and haven't noticed any side effects. It's hard for me to see how chelated magnesium could cause cardiac pains, but maybe what you are experiencing is acid indigestion from the amino acid component. You could try magnesium oxide, but it tends to cause loose bowels. Regardless of how or why the magnesium taureate is causing your side effect symptoms, it sounds like it's not going to work well for you or your mom.
Avatar m tn t know how many were in there between 20 and 75 pills I will be taking her to the vet as soon as my wife gets home from the doctor. What can happen to her she acts like normal no side effects or anything just wondering if she will be Ok.
Avatar f tn I have been taking 2-4 ibprogen 200 mg. tablets for 4 months on a daily basis. Does this still fit into the manufacturer's guidelines for this product. I'm concerned about long term side effects.
1654058 tn?1407159066 Karen, Your platelets are already low, and NSAIDs can increase the risk for bleeding; imho, acetaminophen over the ibuprofen, hands down. With low platelets from tx and a compromised liver and kidney system, any of the NSAIDs are contra-indicated for you (includes Motrin, Advil, Aleve). Tylenol is not to be taken indiscriminately either, though. With cirrhosis, no more than 2000 mg per day max (that means no more than 4 Extra Strength Tylenol in any 24 hour period).
1768366 tn?1321974823 Can HIV/Aids person survive on ARVs for 50 years? What about the side effects of these drugs; can the toxins levels be too high for the body to tolerate!

Avatar n tn Hello, Fatigue and dry mouth and dyspepsia are frequent side effects of Vesicare but it is unlikely to cause any sore throat. Your sore throat can be due to some viral infection. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day and use over-the-counter throat lozenges. Salt water gargle is also a good way to relieve a sore throat. In addition, you can take anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen and paracetamol (acetaminophen) after consulting your general physician.
564735 tn?1263943526 said it was most likely due to toxicity build up. I know that the side effects get worse with each treatment, but up to now the side effects had lessened with each treatment. Has anyone found a way to counteract toxicity build up? Can anyone suggest foods, liquids or other alternatives that will help? I only have 3 more ( hopefully) treatments and would like to keep side effects in check.
Avatar f tn I have had really bad issues with walking, now requiring a can, for about a year. Diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis. It's gotten so bad that I started doing research. I have been doing 5-day energy shots daily for 6 months now - about 40mg of B6 per day (was doing emergen-c's before that). I'm thinking my walking, tingling may indeed be B6 toxicity and am going for a blood test this afternoon. I've gotten a lot of good information from this group - thank you.
Avatar m tn Can Kidney pain be a side effect of taking Ibuprofen? I was taking ibuprofen last week consecutively for 3 days (400mg t.i.d) after laser eye surgery. A day or so after starting it I experienced mild pain/discomfort in my left flank that came in waves. When I stopped taking the ibuprofen the flank pain also stopped. The next day I took one more dose - the flank pain started again within an hour, but was gone the next day.
Avatar f tn I trust pretty much all the information I read from the Mayo Clinic site. Here is the information I was able to locate for you. I have no idea if detoxing really works. Leave it up to the professional to help you with that one :) Here is what a nutritionist from the Mayo Clinic had to say about them..... Question Detox diets: Do they work? Do detox diets offer any health benefits? Answer from Katherine Zeratsky, R.D., L.D.
Avatar f tn I was advised to go on Viread while pregnant and I had major concerns about the side effects of Viread. Now Not pregnant and my hep doctor says that I can go on enteclavir since it does not have the kidney toxicity concern. Mid anyone on enteclavir and have any side effects. Avatar m tn The concern is that your liver cannot sustain this level of toxicity. You are NOT immune to the side effects, you just think you are because you do not experience any symptoms yet... Please check yourself in the hospital asap! Here's a short story that appeared in the Toronto Star a few years ago, which relates to all this. In 2006, a couple from Vancouver Island, Chuck and Tammie Campbell, received a phone call from their daughter’s roommate: something was wrong with Ashley.
Avatar m tn I have taken care of TWO patients in the past; one who had tylenol toxicity and the other one had ibuprofen toxicity. Both patients were going into liver failure in which was caught in time. Both thought is was ok to take more than the RECOMMENDED amount of medication. Please be careful.
Avatar n tn I'm sorry I don't have anything helpful to add. Just a quick search for amiodarone reveals it's a very old drug (developed in the 50s) with a very long list of toxic side effects including lung issues. It left me wondering why it's still prescribed. Some of the top few results were from lawyers who take on personal injury cases for those who've taken this medication.
Avatar f tn In that time i developed serious side effects and instead of taking me off this medication my doctor threw more pills at me. I was not advised of the potential for Serotonin Toxicity with the Tramal and had numerous other effects that the SSRI was not agreeing with my body.
965032 tn?1268830969 Hi Samantha, All anthracycline drugs (for example doxorubicin) cause some amount of cardiac toxicity, apart from other side effects. Caelyx contains a liposomal form of doxorubicin, with a better toxicity profile as compared with the regular form of doxorubicin. Yet is is of course not free from cumulative toxicity. Please discuss with your treating oncologist. Getting a PET CT may be a good idea, as you have a stable size lesion, with falling Ca125 levels. Good Luck!
2010625 tn?1329372056 I have tried several different antipsychotics and keep getting bad side effects with them that have been so bad I can't take them. I have been on seroquel, risperdal, geodon, abilify, and currently on latuda. On the latuda if I take more than 40mgs I get akathisia real bad, but on the 40mgs I start rapid cycling. My doc said I could try saphris, but I am sick of trying these antipsychotics. He said then the next option would be to try lithium. I am currently on lamictal 200mgs, latuda 40mgs.
