Ibuprofen pseudoephedrine

Common Questions and Answers about Ibuprofen pseudoephedrine

ibuprofen

Avatar n tn Hi, probably it is viral pharyngitis, please try betadine gargles along with anti histaminic (you are already taking one) and decongestants like pseudoephedrine. If no relief is seen in 3 days, get throat cuture done to rule out bacterial infection ( strep etc). Pain killers like ibuprofen might help too.
Avatar m tn Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride, ibuprofen and Chlorphenamine. I have stopped taking the meds two days ago, as I am better now, but I still can't achieve a solid erection/it takes long to achieve one.
Avatar n tn they must not take aspirin or nonsteroidal inti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) at any time due to the risk of kidney damage. Common NSAIDS to avoid are Motrin, Ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve, and Naprosyn. Any cold medication or decongestants containing pseudoephedrine or other decongestants should be avoided unless your doctor has given permission. Tylenol for headache or pain - not for fever - can be taken not to exceed 1800mg in 24 hrs. Consult with your surgeons office for additional screens.
Avatar n tn Apparently one medicine makes my birth control less effective and the shot she gave me combined with the ibuprofen doubles my risk for ulcers. The pseudoephedrine and one of the med has an interaction too. When I called due to a side effect I was having she asked me if I was breast feeding! How could she not know that? Two of the medications she prescribed me say that its highly dangerous to breastfeed while taking them. I don't know what to do.
Avatar f tn I am not seeing any major or moderate interactions per micromedex. (pharmacists use this a lot). The pseudoephedrine (Canadian formula I'm assuming) does not show up on the list at all. Neither does clorpheniramine or dextromethorophan. Honestly though best thing for a cold is to take some ibuprofen for pain control (assuming no issues or allergies) and it will also help with the inflammation a little bit. None of the over the counter stuff works very well for cough.
Avatar m tn I should note, I had not been feeling well the prior 3-4 days before, and had been taking ibuprofen (anywhere from 600-800 mg) a couple times a day, and pseudoephedrine daily. Does this sound like a thrombosed vein issue? It is odd because it runs up to the rib cage and then continues to be felt all the way to the chest/breast area, as though it is in front of the rib cage.
Avatar f tn Can i take sudafed (generic cold med. 30mg with riba/peg?) I give up...i have gone all week on tylenol, ibuprofen, lozenges, salt water gargle, showers and popsicles.I can't take this anymore! I feel like a tar face swallowing razor blades. I would also like to run my vicks vaporizer if I am allowed as well. since thats technically medicine I hope its okay. Please and thank you!
Dog If you were my patient, I would advise you to take something that does NOT have pseudoephedrine in it. There are lots of products and it might be best to ask the pharmacist when you are in the store. Something like Nyquil might suit. Good luck!
Avatar n tn I'm thinking because of the pseudoephedrine ingredient, kids may think they'll get a "speed" type of feeling. Mostly it's a rapid heart rate if you take too much. Either way it's not good to abuse it. Also,Claritin-D cannot be purchased over the counter. You need to ask for it at the pharmacy and you'll get it AFTER your license is checked and recorded. Your daughter is displaying some questionable behavior. Get on that fast! Good luck!
Avatar f tn Sudafed is a trademark for a common brand that contains pseudoephedrine, although Sudafed PE does not contain it. I donĀ“t know which one you used, but it is recommended that pseudoephedrine is NOT to be used in patients with: diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, prostatic hypertrophy, hyperthyroidism, closed angle glaucoma, or those who are PREGNANT. When you see your doctor, tell him everything you used (full trademark name of medications). Hope this was helpful.
Avatar n tn Are there any studies related to the long term use of pseudoephedrine-triprolidine? I took this over the counter medication for over 20 years. I am 40 years old now, and am experiencing many ailments, that the doctors can't identify cause. B12 deficiency, Diabetes, High Cholesterol, digestive issues, persistant rashes, depression, lethargy, heart issues, and the list goes on. I have looked all over the internet and I cannot find anything. Surely some studies have been done.
Avatar f tn I believe pseudoephedrine is safe to take. It was on my list of safe medicines to take during pregnancy.
4442651 tn?1355714087 At the beginning of my second trimester I had a really bad cold and congestion Dr told me to take sudafed (over the counter) (pseudoephedrine ) I took it for about 7 days as recommended on the pack and then felt better.
Avatar n tn Some people feel that another decongestant, pseudoephedrine, works better than phenylephrine. Pseudoephedrine is available behind the counter at drug stores. If you do not notice an improvement in your sinus congestion after 7 days, or if you have a fever, please notify your doctor since these are usually signs of an infection. If that is the case, you will not be able to resolve the problem with over the counter decongestants alone. Your physician may need to prescribe antibiotics.
Avatar m tn The most commonly used decongestants are pseudoephedrine and phenylephrine. Phenylpropanolamine (PPA), which was used in many products in the past, should be avoided because of a possible risk of stroke.
Avatar m tn Sinus steroids (which brought on anxiety), every type of pseudoephedrine/decongestant, saline solutions, neti pots, homeopathic treatments, and even acupuncture. Nothing seems to address it. After my last visit to my ENT, he said that I needed to stop using Afrin (which I always did 2x months prior to any of my other sinus surgeries as well , and still didn't get any sort of benefit from it. I have had three or four different allergy tests, and each time they throw at me random results.
Avatar f tn Has anyone heard of any reactions to ibuprofen while pregnant?
7758733 tn?1402589420 Killer headaches, and never any Tylenol around. Ibuprofen can't be that bad huh? Got to go to work and this headache must go.
Avatar f tn Is it true you shouldn't take ibuprofen it can harm the baby? I just seen this today while doing research as to this is my first. i have been taking it before I found out I was thinking my period was coming and I've always had bad cramps so I know to start taking it before my period comes to help with the pain. Should I be worried that I've harmed the baby from taking it? I'm 5 weeks BTW.
Avatar f tn I had a really bad headache yesterday and took 6 200mg ibuprofen tablets ( 2 every 4 hours 3 times) and then I found out today your not suppose to take ibuprofen. I'm really worried, will everything be okay?
