ibuprofen pregnancy headaches

Killer headaches, and never any Tylenol around. Ibuprofen can't be that bad huh? Got to go to work and this headache must go.

21 years old. Pregnant with second baby currently 11 weeks. Im currently taking Lovenox shots n my prenatal the passed 2 weeks have had headaches... Is it OK to take ibuprofen if I don't have tylenol available at the time.

hi this i defo something no about with my last pregnancy i had severe headaches and i was taking ibuprofen i was taken them all the time but i finally went to the doctors because the pain wouldn't settle and the doctor said DO NOT take ibuprofen just take cocodomal i think thats how you spell it lol.

I have been through periods when I had ongoing headaches and I was taking what I considered far too many OTC headaches tablets just to give me relief. In the end i tried a different approach and went and saw a dietician who suggested some changes to my diet, and also that I had candida of the gut. I followed her instructions and my headaches disappeared and it was only then that I realised how much they had intervened in my daily life.

I was told not to take ibuprofen at all during pregnancy. Lots of water, keep hydrated! And make sure to contact your doctor if they continue as he might have something better you can take!

This is my second pregnancy and I'm 5w5d and I've started to get headaches. Can't remember if its only Tylenol I'm allowed to take. Help!

Ugh. I'm prone to headaches in general and had headaches all throughout my first pregnancy. It does stink that you can't take ibuprofen to feel better. And I was staying away from caffeine which also can help headaches a bit too. So, it was hard. You know what helped me? massage. Got anyone who can do that for you? My husband may have gotten sore hands from my massage requests and this may sound odd but my sister would also massage my neck and head.

My doctor told me to try drinking two big glasses of water as quickly as possibly for major headaches and stay very hydrated...

Hi everyone - question - did any of you avoid taking ibuprofen (advil) between ovulation and when AF should arrive? I suffer from a lot of headaches and migraines and ibuprofen has always worked so well for my headaches. Tylenol hardly helps at all. Anyway, I've been finding it difficult during the 2ww. Should I be avoiding ibuprofen during that time?

Ibuprofen (and all NSAIDs) are a big no go during pregnancy (with the occasional exception of aspirin for certain medical conditions, and only under direction of a physician).... Tylenol (acetaminophen) is really the only thing you can take.

I took tylenol this morning. I took Ibuprofen an hour ago . I coudnnt take it anymore. It was a one time thing and i feel so much better. Will my baby be okay?

I have been getting headaches on and off sence the beginning of my pregnancy I'm now 15w4d & they seem to be occurring every day pretty bad I have suffered from migranes sence the age of 10 and i am wondering if there is any thing that helps head aches that you have done that may help me? I have tryed baths they helped some also tryed ice and laying down all day cuz i can't seem to function any advice helps? Thanks!

Tylenol is about it.. Unless the doctor prescribes you something.. Headaches are the worst part besides morning sickness.

I have taken ibuprofen also for the headaches idk if that can cause a pt to come out negative or not? but even though I have taken ibuprofen my headaches haven't gone away.

so I'm only 9 weeks and 5 days and I'm finally starting to get the headaches I've been reading about. I have chronic migraines and like 4 days ago I got a really bad one where I started to vomit and that only happens when it gets really bad. I'm not sure if it was from the headache or morning sickness. I had a headache at the end of the day yesterday and the same is happening today. They aren't migraines because the don't have time to progress too that point.

Ibuprofen is a blood thinner and can be dangerous to take during pregnancy. Tylonel is safe to take. I had morning sickness really during my first trimester but try eating applesauce or yogurt before bed and some form of protein when you wake up. Also drink lota of water through out the day to help with headaches. I am 21 weeks pregnant.

I'm 9 weeks now and suffering from severe headaches. Had them before the pregnancy, but now they won't go away due to not being able to take ibuprofen. Stress normally causes headaches in the front of your head. If your blood pressure level is slightly high you could feel subtle to intense pressure around your temples and it radiate to the top of your head. I have a infected broke off wisdom tooth during my last pregnancy my face swelled up and I was out of Tylenol so I took a 800 mg ibuprofen. Bad call for me but I was in pain and it was only once and everything turned out fine with baby so I was lucky.

I have had headaches for as long as I can remember. I find relief by taking Ibuprofen at the onset of each headache. I suspect that after many years of taking Ibuprofen that my liver isn't too happy. Anyway, the reason I am writing here is it feels as though many of my headaches originate somehow from the spine. I can sit certain ways and actually cause my head to hurt. Then I can move back the other direction and the headache will subside.

The label on my bottle says to not take the tenofovir with ibuprofen. I've got very bad headaches that don't let up, no relief. My doctor just gave me prenatal and anti nausea pills. Will the nausea pills help with headaches? When will this let up some?
