Sweetie, there is nothing that you can take that is "a night time formula" that would have that much Ibuprofen in a dose. You shouldn't exceed the recommended dosage and if you took something that said it was a night time formula then you probably took something with diphenydramine in it. What are the active ingredients on the bottle? What strength per dose? 2900mg of Ibuprofen plus anything for sleep in not good. You need to tell someone what you took before you go to sleep.

I over dosed on 300 200 mg Ibuprofen and was taken to the ER last week where i was given charcoal. Ever since i came back home my body has been acting funny and i am having extreme pain (it feels like my right kidney but it seems a little low to be my kidney) and i was wondering if there could have been some internal damage that would not have shown up right after the overdose but a little bit after? Nobody knows. I had an ibuprofen overdose, but it was over a long period of time, and it affected my intestines, mostly my colon, causing colitis. I had frank blood suddenly one day, without any stool at all, and the abdomonal pain was horrible. I had a colonostopy, and was on medication for 2 months to try to heal my colon, it affected 3 ft, and it was almost gangrene. By the time I went to the emergency room, I hadn't eaten in 2 days, and yet the stupid, and I mean STUPID emergency Dr.
Ibuprofen is a bloodthinner. They say you arent supposed to take it...only tylenol. Because when you are pregnant the volume of blood in your body increases by 50%. If you were to have an accident, go into preterm labor, etc...you could bleed out and hemmorage. Causing lots of problems!
The dosage amount is based on your body composition, height, weight, etc., so 1800mg (while it is an exceedingly high dosage) could possibly be a normal dosage size for someone large in stature.

This past 2 weeks I was ill with the h1n1 virus. During the 2 weeks, I consumed over 50 200mg pills of ibuprofen. I have had blood work done twice (5 days ago and 2 days ago). Both resulted in increased liver enzymes. I haven't had any ibuprofen in 4 days. Is it possible that my liver enzyme increase is a result of the "overdose" with the ibuprofen. My doctor has scheduled another blood work screening in two weeks. Will my liver enzymes decrease in this amount of time?
His doctor was horrified yesterday (day after shot) and had him take Benadryl, Ibuprofen and apply lots of ice. Today he received an IV antiobiotic and will get more tomorrow and find out what it is. The say he may have cellulitis. We both believe that his reaction is due to getting a 2nd dose so soon after the first and we hope that he does not have any lasting issues such as an impaired elbow joint, from this.
Have you had a follow up blood test to monitor your dosage change to 50mcg? It certainly sounds like hyper symptoms to me, but you should be monitored closely and tested with any dosage change. Call your doc and describe your symptoms and ask why you haven't been tested to check the effectiveness of your new dosage change. You should have been tested at 6 weeks!
i just discovered i have been giving my 41 year old daughter twice the amount of NEUTRA-PHOS-K powder as prescribed.....(the mgram amount is not listed on the packets) the prescribed dosage is one packet twice daily and i have been giving her 2 packets twice daily for about 2 weeks.....is she in any danger if i just go back to the prescribed dosage right now ?...
The Advil had 200 mg of ibuprofen. Later on I got cramps so at around four I took two midol extra strength. Each pill had 500 mg of acetominophen. Then I began getting a massive headache so at 6:45 I took one Tylenol extra strength tablet which also had 500 mg of acetominophen. Now I am worried because I took a little bit too much acetominophen
And didn't wait long enough. Also I don't know if the combination of the 200 mg of ibuprofen and the beer could be bad as well?
Can Kidney pain be a side effect of taking Ibuprofen? I was taking ibuprofen last week consecutively for 3 days (400mg t.i.d) after laser eye surgery. A day or so after starting it I experienced mild pain/discomfort in my left flank that came in waves. When I stopped taking the ibuprofen the flank pain also stopped.
The next day I took one more dose - the flank pain started again within an hour, but was gone the next day.

My problem with Subutex is when I have extreme pain my standard dosage does not help at all. I was wondering if I doubled the dosage in cases like this if it would help. An example is I have been in the hospital x2 with severe chest pains and no way to get relief. I know most of you are not doctors but wondered if you have taken more than prescribed for higher pain levels?
