ibuprofen

Hi, Can you give us more info. Did you have a previuos addiction or are just curious? Most Nyquil does have alcohol in it.
Tylenol or Ibuprofen............for myself, taking Tylenol is of no benefit. Ibuprofen is the only over the counter pain med. that will take away headaches for me. Thankfully, 1 - 200 mg. handles it, and thankfully, I have not had too many headaches on tx and now post.
My doctor said Tylenol, Tylenol Cold and plain Robitussin is okay. Ask your doctor or pharmacist too...they will know. Mine says no Advil, Ibuprofen, or Aspirin.
and I tested positive this month for pregnancy, and also I'm terrified because I didn't know I was pregnant and I took ibuprofen and NyQuil earlier this month FEB. 2013 I took ibuprofen only like 3-4 times and NyQuil only 2 times not at the same time for swelling because I just got a piercing and I also took acetaminophen but I heard that its safe for pregnancy but not ibuprofen or NyQuil .. Will my baby have birth defects??
I took the vitamins b12 1000mcg,vitd 2000U,b complex with zinc and magnesium/day,omega3 2 daily vitamin C 2000mg/day. For wd pain I took ibuprofen 800mg every6 hrs max2400mg/day,and tylenol 1000mg every 4 hrs max 4000mg/24hrs. At night for a few nights I took Nyquil without the decongestant instead of the tylenol. It contains 1000mf tylenol, doxylamine(an antihistamine causing drowsiness) and dextrmethorphan a very mild opiate that I believe soothes the opiate receptors.
The cough continues this morning and I feel discombubilated. The fingers feel like they don't belong and my head is heavy. I have been taking, Ibuprofen, a throat lozenge (the coughing causes a sore throat), histenol forte II, all these during the day and then Nyquill last night. That seemed to help the most.

I was wondering if it's related to HIV or any other STD? I took nyquil, alka seltzer plus and tylenol pm syrup, ibuprofen, but nothing works. For eyes, I have used visible, got better, but at this moment I feel a little itch on the corner of my eye. I took claritin tonight as well.. I had anal sex with 7 different partners in the month of October and November with protection and I'm also infected with syphillis in Narch but was treated successfully.
i took Nyquil, extra streng Tylenol, ibuprofen and advil p.m. im concern about the side effects. i haven't gone to my first appt yet so i haven't had the chance to ask the dr. any one in the same boat?
which worked wonders to help sleep.Total tylenol dose must not exceed 4000mg/day and ibuprofen 1600mg/day.Nyquil contains 1000mg tylenol.
Immodium helps with stomach cramps and whatnot, Ibuprofen for body aches, I always took Nyquil to put me to sleep. A hot bath or shower helps big time. And make sure he's getting fluids - if he gets too dehydrated it can really aggravate the wds. There are people here who know alot about vitamins, those help too. There's not much you can do other than that for the wd symptoms. Hang in there, it gets worse before it gets better - have you tried calling a detox?
I took tylenol extra strength every 4 hoursmax 4000mg/day for rebound pain, alternating with ibuprofen 800mg/every 6 hours.max 2400mg/day. To help me sleep through the first few Nyquil without the decongestant.
I have been taking tylenol on occasion during the day for the aches and sometimes ibuprofen. At nite, I take benadryl and nyquil. That seems to work for sleep for me. I'm a little foggy, but I'm assuming this will pass with time...anyone know how long that takes or if there is anything else that may help eliminate this? B12 seems to help a bit actually with energy.
The thing is, while taking Pepcid, any anti inflammatory drugs can have a serious negative effect. I'm not sure if I should still take Advil or NyQuil or Tylenol, since I'm only supposed to take Pepcid 40 mg during bedtime. I just don't want any more negative side effects. I'm already dealing with liver lesions and Acid Reflux.
I've been taking Ibuprofen, Dayquil/Nyquil, sinus decongestant. Not all together of course, but I usually do take the Ibuprofen with whatever I take for the sinuses. And nothing! My face hurts so bad, feels like my head is in a vicescript, terrible head ache, ear ache, throat hurts, coughing, runny nose, nausea, diarreha, loss of appetite. I can't find anything to take the pain away. What can I do to make this pain go down?
I think probably my immune system is just weak these days because i've battled with a cold and sore throat the entire past week. I thought light of it and just treated by resting/Ibuprofen. Last night I left at 2 am to get some Nyquil from nearby Safeway, turns out they're closed from 1-5am. the local 7-eleven also didn't have anything. I came back disappointed. Figured i'll pick up the meds from Walmart on the way to work at 4 since I couldn't sleep anyways!
That is the ONLY thing that helped mine. I also took a dose of Nyquil for a few nights, starting about my 3rd or 4th night I think. That helps sleep and RLS somewhat. It's definitely worth a try! You're doing great! Just do yourself a favor and make this the last time! It will only get harder each time, as you see!!! HUGS.......
I need a different way to deal with the pain, as I want to stop taking these pills. I had actually quit once before using things like nyquil to sleep at night and lots of showers. This was around the 3 year mark, but went back into surgery and am reliving this all over again. Every night I tell myself I need to stop, only to wake up to go to work the next morning, and re-living it all over again. I hate the way I feel when I take them, but hate the way I feel when I don't.
If you need pills for rebound pain, take 2 extrastrength tylenol every 4 hours max 4000mg/24hrs,or 800mg ibuprofen every 6 hours max 2400mg daily. To help me sleep at night I took Nyquil without the decongestant a few nights and I got through withdrawals working the whole time.No days off. Nyquil can be habit forming so i only recommend it a few nights to get through the worst.
I especially recommend Vit b12 1000mcg under the tongue, vit b6,vit d1000u,omegas with zinc and magnesium.Nyquil liquid without the decongestant helps sleep for a few nights .Epsom salt baths are super to absorb magnesium and to relax the muscles. These help the body to recover.Good luck and don't look back. The health pages do list some of these things.
In fact, acetaminophen is an ingredient in many cough and cold products — including NyQuil, Robitussin and Theraflu. It might exacerbate the asthma because it decreases levels of a molecule called glutathione, which protects the lungs. "So removing the beneficial effect of glutathione exactly at a time children's lungs are being irritated might end up being just one factor that contributes to the onset of an asthma attack," McBride says. McBride's recommendation?
what I've always used for the Fibro is heat and Ibuprofen- I have RA and Fibro- all associated with Lupus.. (not sure if I've mentioned to anyone about me having Lupus or not, but yea, I found out back in Dec.2003) My mother had it, my sisters have it, all associated with being Native American as well.. My sisters take pain meds, but they're trying to live normal lives while BEING on the meds, and it's just not working- both are professionals- one is a teacher, the other an accountant.
Like over the counter aspirin or ibuprofen or even taking kids vitamins. Does anyone else have problems since they came off their medicines? I use to be able to take vitamins, minerals over the counter stuff but now my body reacts weird like my pulse will raise up and my blood pressure will rise and I just won't feel good or I will feel weird after taking stuff.
The symptoms are the worst in the morning, which made me consider that most of it is due to post nasal drip, but I have taken every medication I could think of (benadryl, sudafed, allegra, nyquil, etc) to try to stop it. I am on both allegra and singulair for allergies. I have been consistently taking ibuprofen, mucinex, sudafed, and acetaminophen as needed. Does anyone have any suggestions?
said ER should do CT scan. They did not, rather opting for EKG and urine screen. Dx with headache and said take ibuprofen. Past five days no sleep. Stopped all over the counter meds at Dr.'s request. Headache worsens at night when attempting to lie down. Severe pressure. When motrin was taken, severe reaction -immediate pain in center of head, heart rate increases sounds extremely loud making it impossible to sleep.
Get seen by someone today or tomorrow. In the meantime, take ibuprofen for the fever and the swelling (tylenol won't help the swelling), something with guaifenisen in it for the cough (mucinex and most robotussin have it), which will help loosen things in your chest, and sudafed for the sinuses. If you see dextromethorphan in the robotussin or mucinex, it's a cough suppressant that works by convincing you you don't need to cough for that little tickle in your throat.
Quit before you have any liver damage. I took ibuprofen 800mg every 4 hrs max 2400mg/24hr with paracetamol 1000mg every 4 hrs max 4000mg/day for rebound pain. I also took all the vitamins daily VitD2000U,BVitamin Complex with Zinc,B12 1000mcg, Omega 3,Vitamin C 2000mg,Coenzyme Q10 200mg,. For the rebound pain also epsom salt baths helped. To help sleep I took Nyquil WITHOUT THE DECONGESTANT or you can try doxylamine I was able to continue working throught the whole process.
