In basketball practice I made a cut and felt a sharp pain in my right knee. After that, running and jumping has caused much pain in my knee. I went to an athletic trainer and they told me I had tendinitis and to ice and take ibuprofen. It continues to be very painful during practice. I can feel rubbing and clicking in my knee when I walk. What is wrong with my knee? Should I still be playing basketball or will it make it worse?
I twisted my knee and when it happen I heard and felt a pop on the inside of my knee. Also, now when I walk, I have pain and crackling on the outside, under the knee. When I am walking and I have to turn or piviot, I get a pain that runs the inside of my knee. And now I can just be standing there and my knee feels like it is really loose and feels like I hyperextended in, the knee pushes back. How ling should I wait to go to the doctor or should I continue to try and heal it myself.
Hi there. Well, I'm not totally sure what you mean it radiates to your knee. You have pain all the way down to your knee? I'd say that is unusual. I've had super uncomfortable menstrual cramps in my life as well as a cyst on my ovary that eventually passed (very painful). I did just weather through with ibuprofen. It does work well for me for relieving pain and discomfort. But if you are concerned or if the pain is super bad, then it might be wise to check in with your doctor.
Really can't stick this pain much longer !! Having really bad pain in both knees can't walk up stairs or down hurts to bed or even sit someone help !!
Last August I discovered a bubble on my left knee cap and was told it was bursitis. That went away with Ibuprofen. For the past few months, I have had a bad burning feeling in my left knee. It is there most of the time when I am at rest or up walking around. I am a Pharmacy Technician so I do not do a lot of physical work. I do sit at a desk most of the time.I do not recall injuring it. I went to my local Prompt care this past weekend and the doctor said it is not bursitis.

So i have been having some really bad knee pain for about 3 years i just had a baby and it hurts so bad when I'm carrying him up and down our stairs. he is only 4 months old, but it fills like my legs are going to buckle from underneath me. they usually always hurt but more when I'm walking up and down the stairs. at night i drench my knees in icy hot.
I need advice on what to do about the pain in my knee. I got into a small accident while biking last weekend. While biking along the main stretch of town, I collided with the side of a pick-up truck backing out between two buildings. He couldn't see me and I didn't see him until it was too late. Neither one of us was going very fast and there wasn't even any damage to my clothes from where I hit the pavement, so I figured the bumps and bruises were going to be the end of it.
Over the past 4 days I have been experiencing pain/Throbbing in my right knee. I do not recall doing any activities which may have damaged it in anyway.
The pain feels like it comes from underneath my knee cap, slightly to the right. It throbbs when I am sat down, and if i move my knee left or right whilst my foot is on the floor I get a very sharp shooting pain which makes me jump.
He has had pain in both his knees for a few weeks now. The pain has gradually got worse, and he says it is under his knee cap and when pressing the back of his leg in the knee area, it is very painful. He has seen the GP but he has just given him ibuprofen, and told us to keep an eye on him! The other day he could not walk because of the pain and I am very worried about what this could be? The pain is constant, and the ibuprofen is just masking this a little.
Can anyone advise?

Dec 10th and just had my right knee manipulated Monday Feb 1 the Knee / Leg feels great much improvement. I have one problem pain/pain (left side of right knee) when I put pressure / weight on the Knee enough pain that I have to use my walker.I was walking before the manipulation. Using CPM machine with no major pain. I have not called my surgeon yet. Do not want to whin.
I tried to stop a fall and in doing so I twisted my left leg and got a severe pain in my lower cheek on my *** that went down to my knee. I saw black and starts for a brief second or two. It did cause me to cry. Now I have terrible aching in my cheek and it also goes to my knee. What can possibly be wrong. I hate to go to the doctor if all he's going yo do is prescribe pain killers and muscle relaxers. Not into meds.
I have resigned that I will just have this pain and need to manage it with ibuprofen. In the last three months I have however been having a new more severe pain in my left knee. It hurts pretty much constantly, but worse during physical activity, and hurts like a bruise when pushed on. I decided to see my pcp to get some answers because the left knee has really been holding me back and too painful to ignore.
The CT scan showed an inflamed kidney. The doctor now believes a kidney infection and has prescribed cipro and Tylenol and Ibuprofen for pain. After 5 days, the pain (while not constant) has not diminished. He often has the chills and a fever that runs 2-3 degrees above normal. One other (possibly not related) issue is that his pain is usually most significant early morning (possibly due to 8 hours of sleep with no tylenol/ibuprofen).

A doctors evaluation is in order if you do or otherwise, if it is appropriate for you and you don't have a reason to NOT take them, then try an NSAID like ibuprofen for selling. Popping happens but this is new so get it checked out!
d been having pain on the back of my knee, as well as on each side of my knee cap. My knee had been stiffening and locking if I climbed up more than a flight of stairs.
The MRI came back last week, and I was told that it thankfully isn't serious, is inflamed in a few areas, to RICE it and to take ibuprofen.

and was given a few strecthes and leg strengthening exercises to help with my knee problems. Well, after a solid two weeks of performing these exercises, my knee feels strong and well. But whenever i have to stretch and put my left knee into my buttox the entire knee feels an incredible amount of pain. Also, whenever I try and sit on my ankles, I am in HUGE amounts of pain just in the left knee.
