7923170 tn?1412999504 21 years old. Pregnant with second baby currently 11 weeks. Im currently taking Lovenox shots n my prenatal the passed 2 weeks have had headaches... Is it OK to take ibuprofen if I don't have tylenol available at the time.
Avatar f tn It doesn't produce "immediate lethal effects". It will be slow and you will fall asleep. There's another word for what you did. It's called an overdose. If you really took that much Ibuprofen and Benadryl, and I assume you did, you need to call an ambulance.
1182699 tn?1297574784 Just a quick question about the effects of Ibuprofen on the heart. Sometimes when I feel I'm having a bad "heart" day, either really strong beats followed by weak ones, or my PVC's/PAC's, I will take an advil and I usually start feeling better. I mentioned this to my PCP once and he said Ibuprofen has many effects on the body, it's not just a fever reducer/pain reliever so it very well could be effecting the heart.
Avatar f tn Is 3-6 200mg Ibuprofen a day for a 3-6 days a week bad for you over a long period of time?
1110049 tn?1409402144 You could try using commercially available NSAID/ anaesthetic ointments such as those containing ibuprofen/ lidocaine for pain relief. The topical ointments are devoid of most systemic side effects of the medications. Hope this is helpful. Take care!
Avatar m tn According to research institutes, Ibuprofen overdose damages your internal organs like liver. While in some cases it has been reported that it has result in a permanent liver damage, in other cases where the victim was taking the dose for a long and continued period it has resulted in organ failure one by one.
Avatar m tn Substances in marijuana show promise for fighting deadly drug-resistant bacterial infections, including so-called "superbugs," without causing the drug's mood-altering effects, scientists in Italy and the United Kingdom are reporting. http://www.****.
Avatar m tn There are a few cremes on the market, but I suggest getting one with natural ingredients in order to avoid side effects. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Hey again... okay, actually... I just checked the prescribing information of Lexapro and apparently it is actually not a good idea to take any sort of NSAID at the same time as Lexapro... so, if you're taking ibuprofen it is probably a good idea to not mix the lexapro and ibuprofen and I wouldn't suggest getting a prescription NSAID after all. Usually the prescribing information says something about when side-effects tend to go away... but, I couldn't find it. But...
Avatar m tn Can Kidney pain be a side effect of taking Ibuprofen? I was taking ibuprofen last week consecutively for 3 days (400mg t.i.d) after laser eye surgery. A day or so after starting it I experienced mild pain/discomfort in my left flank that came in waves. When I stopped taking the ibuprofen the flank pain also stopped. The next day I took one more dose - the flank pain started again within an hour, but was gone the next day.
Avatar n tn Both of these act like speed, at least to me they did, they made me very anxious, so, I avoid these two ingredients like the plague. So many cold remedies have these ingredients as they DO dry out your sines, but, they are not worth it, believe me.
Avatar n tn You should be just fine unless you have an allergy to ibuprofen. Prescription Motrin is 800mg of Ibuprofen so that is the equivalent of four of the 200mg Ibuprofen. If you don't break out in a rash or have breathing difficulties after taking one or two Ibuprofen, please don't lose sleep over taking a third. As I said, as long as you can take Ibuprofen in the first place without having a problem, three won't bother you.
Avatar f tn This product was our review team’s second highest scoring fertility product. FertilAid does contain safe ingredients such as vitamins and herbal nutrients which help support fertility as well as reproductive wellness. The use of these ingredients, in turn, can help increase the chances of conception. However, FertilAid does not contain key ingredients such as black cohosh rhizome which has been shown to help balance hormones.
Avatar m tn Are there any health risks from taking herbal supplements like Zenerx or Magna RX Plus for long periods of time? (in years?) (I just noticed that many of the ingredients are thought to raise testosterone levels).
Avatar f tn Wondering if anyone has talked to the manufacturer of tirosint about the awful side effects it causes? And I'm not talking about the hyper symptoms from a dose that's too high. Imfeel as if I have a horrible allergic reaction to it, yet it's supposed to be hypoallergenic. I assume it's the gel cap and am hoping tirosintSOL will solve that problem. When I take tirosint gelcaps, I suffer from horrible neuroinflammation. I feel as if my brain is going to explode.
1305767 tn?1361192676 Okay thanks for the info! I was mainly concerned about an immediate accidental overdose. As for the long term effects I've been taking up to 12 ibuprofen a day for over a week now so even without the Meloxicam I'm risking negative effects.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have a question. Sometimes I casually contemplate suicide--not very seriously, but more as a curiosity. Yesterday I decided to experiment with what it would be like to take a lot of pills. All I had on hand was ibuprofen, so I took 10,000 mg. It wasn't a suicide attempt, but more of a way to satisfy my curiosity about suicide by OD. However, after doing a little research online, some people seem to think that 10,000 mg can be dangerous.
Avatar f tn So unless your healthcare provider prescribes it, you should avoid taking aspirin altogether, as well as other NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), naproxen sodium (Aleve), and ketoprofen (Orudis), which can have similar effects. Check the labels of all over-the-counter drugs to make sure they don't contain aspirin or other NSAIDs. Better yet, check with your caregiver or pharmacist.
Avatar f tn Hello, I am an athlete and due to often strains or injuries i need to take non steroid anti inflammatory pills for a few days like ibuprofen, diclofenac, lornoxicam, etoricorib. Even from the first pill, i feel physical exhaustion and then water retention. I am also short of breath, sometimes i feel sleepy and also sometimes my vision acuity decreases. Of course, the symptoms disappear after a few days i finish the therapy. Could someone tell me how to deal with these side effects? Thank you!
Avatar f tn Anything beside ibuprofen to take? Muscle aches - anything to help that - I rub his back every night - anything else I can do? These side effects are tough and I just wish I could help alleviate them.
Avatar m tn I have bad reactions to a lot of painkillers. Tylenol makes me a raging *******, Ibuprofen gives me a splitting headache, well... Vicodin makes me into a lunatic. Let me walk you through what happened. I began running around my house in a manner that really made no sense. I found a rubber band around my head, at some point my shirt was lost, and then I lost motor functions. I couldn't move my body parts. I had severe anxiety issues.
374225 tn?1269899262 I have a scheduled spinal injection tomorrow and I blew it by taking ibuprofen over the weekend, this morning in fact. What are the risks if I went ahead and still had the injection? I'm not typically a bleeder...
Avatar n tn Any pain in the leg? Any trouble urinating? Have you tried any OTC things for the pain? Ice, heat, ibuprofen, Tylenol? Do they give you any relief? I think if you give a little more information you may get some better suggestions.
Avatar n tn I cm chemically sensitive and find many creams irritating. I searched on-line to find out the ingredients in pramasone and eletone and could find nothing. I received samples of these from a dermatologist and without the ingredients. I am unable to find them on the web. Is there a site open to the public that lists ingredients? I was also advised to take Zyrtec and wondered if Zyrtec had any more benefit for skin reactions thank Claritin. Claritin didn't help at all.
Avatar m tn The long term effects of Morphine sulfate on the overall health of the human body. Including heart health, gastro-intestinally, and other organs. I know someone who has been taking it for at least at least 10+years. I am getting worried about this person. A few years ago he had a very bad stomach problem, and they could never figure it out. I pretty much thought it had something to do with the morphine. Any advice? He needs it for his back.
Avatar n tn Recently, a group of friends (same age) and I who work out together began taking a supplement recommended to us by our fitness instructor - it is called Venom-HyperDrive. I contacted my physician before starting and communicated the ingredients - Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) 200 mcg; and a unique proprietary mix of several ingredients of which the first few are cocamine 3.0, guarana extract, maximowizia chinensis, hoodia etc... He did not express any concern.
163305 tn?1333668571 I think I'd heed the warning if my child has asthma, however, I've used Tylenol as my go to fever reducer with my boys. I've never been able to get my boys to take ibuprofen. I tried the oral suspension as well as the chew tabs and neither of my children would take them as they taste horrible. Oh, I tried hiding the flavor but it didn't work verses Tylenol chewables, they just chew up and swallow, no problem. When they are sick . . . which one do you think I prefer?
