ibuprofen

Avatar n tn The most common anti-inflammatories (NSAIDS - Non-Steroidal Anti-INflammatory) are Motrin (Generic = Ibuprofen) or Aleve (Generic = Naproxen or Naproxen Sodium). I agree - use only one of these. If you use Aleve be careful if you are on Neurontin because is a small amount of cases Aleve will interact with Neurontin and cause a 12 - 15% increase in the absorption of the Neurontin (I know this from first hand experience).
640719 tn?1277140030 I was level for about 4 months about a year out after surgery but then dropped two months after they switched me from a generic drug Levothyroxine to synthroid. I was surprised I had dropped I thought I'd be better regulated switching over to name brand? I'm hurting so badly I've had to cut back on everything I do. The Endo upped my Synthyroid about 3 weeks ago but I'm still hurting it hurts to walk. Can upping the synthroid cause this or is it likely just being hypo?
1134609 tn?1269272200 ----I stabilized completely last summer and I was on the brand name version of the medication. When I switched over to the generic, I started having problems and had to increased the dose from 900mgs to 1600mgs over the space of a few months. Any changes in the dosages over this time dropped me into a deep depression and I HAD to drop the dosage many times because it was agitating me. I just assumed it was because I was adjusting to the medication.
Avatar m tn So, if you do not have GI bleeding or an ulcer, you may want to ask your doctor about other NSAIDS. Mobic (the generic name is meloxicam) is a great alternative, because it is generic and has less GI/ulcer problems than most of the NSAIDS. Ultimately, you should see what your doctor thinks is best for you. If your doctor insists on Celebrex, you may want to contact the company and see if they have any discount coupons that your pharmacy can process. Many companies do this.
Avatar f tn After taking methimazole for two wks, I started having REALLY sensitive teeth and the pain gets worse until I take tylenol or ibuprofen. I am up to every three hours taking something for pain. My dentist, GP and Endo do not know anything about this pain-what is causing it. I have not had RAI, just methimazole. Bad thing is ..I was having no symptoms-the TSH and T4 showed up in routine blood work. I had breast cancer 7 years ago with chemo and radiation. then was dx with RA.
3197728 tn?1377277900 Tylenol is what you can take instead of ibuprofen. acetaminophen is generic for Tylenol like ibuprofen is for motrin.

Avatar f tn I went to ER with s/s SOB, tingling, tremors, muscle jerks and feeling my throat was closing up. I had worked many shifts with stripping and waxing to floors. I and many other had been experiencing headaches, coughs, and I experienced throat sensitivity. I had been taking ibuprofen on regular basis for these headaches and took a generic unisom "doxylamine." After taking the ibuprofen and doxylamine I woke up with not being able to breathe along with above mentioned symptoms.
Avatar f tn Yes it's totally legal. If you want more information there's a guy on the internet who outlines the process, whether you travel abroad or order online. He actually wrote a book and started a blog on it. He also started a buyer's club but no need to go that route. His name is Greg Jefferys, google his name for more information.
538782 tn?1213809348 I'm new to this website. Question, I'm soon to be taking my third dose of clomid. I haven't picked up my prescription yet but, i'm lost.. I don't know whether to take the generic or name brand. Ive been taken the generic(clomiphene citrate) for the past two cycles with no luck.. Dr said he would rather me be on the brand name. It is more expensive. I don't know what to do.
Avatar n tn My question concerns Synthroid. On Dec 04, 2006 at 12:00AM, Mark Lupo, M.D. said in answer to a question: "Levoxyl is another brand -- there is no advantage to Synthroid. Protecting the brand has advantages over generic regarding consistency of levels. the generic is levothyroxine". Huh? What on earth does that answer mean? "Protecting"? "consistency of levels?
Avatar n tn Amoxacillin is used to treat infections caused by bacteria. Swollen cheeks due to dental surgery has nothing to do with that. Stick with a more generic pain killer...like ibuprofen.
Avatar n tn What is the generic name, chemical name, classification and contraindications for Lyvoxil?
Avatar f tn ve taken, both, generic levothyroxine (T4) and liothyronine (T3), as well, as brand name Synthroid and Cytomel. I did better on on generic levo than I did on Synthyroid... I've been taking generic liothyronine for over 5 yrs and have done just as well as I did on Cytomel. I don't think you'll have any difficulty, with generic T3, but if you do, you can always go back to Cytomel.
Avatar f tn After maybe a year of that, I went onto Yaz [the brand name not generic] and was on that for a full year hoping stronger hormones would help control cramps more, with not much hope. But now for the past two years I have been on Seasonique [brand name again] and I am pleased mostly because it allows me 4 periods of year [translates into 4 weeks of hell a year lol] instead of 12.
Avatar n tn I take synthroid and was wondering if the generic is just as good? Someone told me to never take the generic so I pay extra for the name brand. TIA!
Avatar n tn I have insurance and the copay on my generic script is usually about $2-4 for the whole month and the brand name was over $200 WITH insurance. Does anyone know of an insurance plan that covers these brand drugs to an affordable rate or any way to get a lower price on the brand name?
Avatar n tn Your question is a bit confusing to me. Are you saying that you had the rash, fatigue, etc.on the generic or a brand name? A rash usually means an allergic reaction. What type of thyroid medication are you on?
Avatar m tn ve been taking the generic for about a week until my new prescription for the brand name arrives. I have had diarrhea for two days. The only thing I've done differently is take the generic drug. Do you think this would be causing the diarrhea? If so should I just not take the medication until the correct prescription arrives?
699217 tn?1323438700 I believe that oxycodone is the generic name for Roxicodone, which is also obviously percocet without the tylenol. Oxycontin and oxycodone are the same thing, EXCEPT oxycodone is a quick release tablet, and oxycontin is a slow release of the same med. Hydrocodone is the ingredient in Vicodin and Lortab. Although they are all narcotics, vicodin and lortab are lesser strength than the oxy's and morphine.
6773374 tn?1386033210 Tylenol. No motrin,aspirin, or ibuprofen.
