ibuprofen for what

I overdid it on Ibuprofen, and I ended up having ringing in my ears (I was taking an 800mg tablet 2-3, sometimes 4 times a day. It has been a couple of weeks since my doctor advised me to stop with the Ibuprofen, and since then the ringing has mellowed out quite a bit. I am just dealing with the headache/bodyaches for the most part now, if it gets really bad I do take some Tylenol (over the counter), just not a lot of it.

21 years old. Pregnant with second baby currently 11 weeks. Im currently taking Lovenox shots n my prenatal the passed 2 weeks have had headaches... Is it OK to take ibuprofen if I don't have tylenol available at the time.

ok I just read online that you are not suppose to take ibuprofen while you are pregnant again im 5 weeks i took total of seven not all together of course over say a period of maybe two days due to a severe toothache did i do something stupid is my baby going to be ok.

Ibuprofen is bad for our livers. Try getting a massage if you can. Bromelian, a natural supplement made from pineapples helps reduce swelling but it takes time to work. Also, make sure you're drinking lots of water, and getting some exercise. Try some yoga too. Pot brownies worked the best for my back pain.

Is 3-6 200mg Ibuprofen a day for a 3-6 days a week bad for you over a long period of time?

whenever i take even one 550mg (naproxen) ibuprofen and then drink, my stomach gets tender and bloated and i feel bad. i usually take a maalox or something like that, yet i never throw up from it so i don't know if that's applicable for you. i think it is due to the ibuprofen, but if you're not used to eating spicy foods then it could have disagreed with you, not necessarily meaning food poisoning. you should never drink and take NSAIDs at the same time.

My doctor said that ibuprofen is a big no no but then again it is only one time and many have taken it before knowing they were pregnant i am sure u and ur baby will be fine just try not to have it next time.

I always used ibuprofen prior to getting pregnant because Tylenol wasn't strong enough. However 2 rounds of 1000mg seems to get the job done. Haven't taken me than that in a day.

Is it true you shouldn't take ibuprofen it can harm the baby? Ibuprofen is never allowed.. Tylenol is only option and now that im in third trimester the pharmacy told me that doctors dont even want us taking that.

Hi there. Tylenol is what is recommended for pain and discomfort including cramps. Mayo Clinic suggests no more then 2,000 mg per day if you have liver disease which includes people with Hepatitis C. Tylenol is a better choice then pills containing ibuprofen such as Advil or Motrin. The only concern with Tylenol is that you do not want to have any form of alcohol in combination with this drug.
