Avatar m tn ve been taking Panadol for 3+ months straight since my sinus infection started. I was taking 2 to 4 pills each day. But it seems to be not helping me that much any more. The pain gets strong enough to interfere with my work - it's a desk job but the pain is distracting and I find it difficult to concentrate.

Avatar n tn These medications include aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil) or naproxen (Aleve or Naprosyn). If you take these drugs for a chronic medical condition, consult with your doctor about to what to do. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) can be taken for fever or pain. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
655875 tn?1295695107 Have you tried ibuprofen? Sometimes I get headaches from the oxycodone and I find 800 mg. ibuprofen helps. For all my pains, it helps a little. I think it helps the oxy work better for me.
1305767 tn?1361192676 I've been taking a lot of ibuprofen all week for an almost constant tension type headache. 200-600 mg every four hours, not more than 2600 mg a day. I haven't had much of a headache today but I feel sick like I have a mild cold or flu and I'm still taking ibuprofen because my jaw and teeth hurt and I have a painful kink in my neck, plus running a mild fever.
Avatar f tn After visiting with the doctor yesterday due to a sinus infection I decided to confess to her about my headaches. :) Headaches that start behind my left eye, always the left. After several of these headaches, starting about 10 years ago, I finally found that Benedryl with a decongestant takes care of it. However, the longer I wait to take the Benedryl the longer it takes to get it under control. So then it radiates to the back of my head and into my shoulder.
Avatar m tn I used a saline nasal spray for the sinuses and ibuprofen for the pain and inflammation. (I recommend only taking what pain medicine the doctor prescibes for you and where your liver damage is at.) Antibiotics only seemed to work while I was on them and within two days the sinus and throat problems were back and just as bad. I am 13 weeks post EOT and my sinuses are doing great now on their own, so hang in there, and I hope you feel better!
Avatar n tn You could have an infection in your maxillary sinuses, which is not unusual for any sort of dental infection, but only a doctor can diagnose that. A Neilmed Sinus Rinse is very effective for maxillary sinus infections, but not infections of the upper sinuses.

771913 tn?1343331188 I have a sinus infection. They put me on an antibiotic. Last night my fever increased to around 101 I took a tylenol but before it could kick in my bp went up to 158/98 with pulse of 106. I felt like I was about to go into A fib. But it all settled down after a few minutes. I should also point out that I take coumidin, 100 mg of Metropolol, and low dose asprin. Today I have had the fever which I have controlled with tylenol. When I breathe deep my right shoulder hurts.

Avatar f tn When sinuses become inflamed, these areas get blocked and mucus cannot drain. This lack of proper sinus drainage can lead to infection. Worse pain in the morning because mucus has been collecting and draining all night Diagnosis can be made by examination, transillumination, xrays, a CT scan, or an MRI.Pls consult an ENT surgeon for that. I hope that helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
Avatar m tn I would see your regular doctor first to rule out basic things like sinus infection. Then you could always consider an ENT. Sounds like typical sinus issues and I definitely wouldn't jump to the idea that it's a tumor. Stress, allergies, sinus infection... so many more likely causes.
