ibuprofen

973741 tn?1342342773 I'm reading that one should not take ibuprofen when taking some blood pressure medications although my doctor didn't mention this to me. Thoughts? What do you do for headaches/injuries? Tylenol is acceptable? Unfortunately, that is a really weak pain reliever for me.

Avatar f tn Hi, I am in limbo too with an MS dx but I was dx with transverse myelitis. I experience the same thing with my blood pressure. Also my heartrate is all over the place too.It seems to really like to happen when I' laying on my left side trying to go to sleep. I asked my neuro about this and he said that you can have damage to the autonomic nervous system too sometimes. And that will cause BP and HR abnormailities.
Avatar f tn How can we manage the pain caused from osteoporosis or the rheumatic pain in a patients suffering from high blood pressure, when acetaminophen doesn't work? Should we use ibuprofen in this case, even if it raises blood pressure? By which mechanism ibuprofen causes this unwanted effect?
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with high blood pressure when i was 18yrs old (when iwas only 125lbs and a cross country runner) My doc monitored my BP for about 2 months, did an EKG and put me on an ace inhibitor. I never questioned it i just took the meds. I moved 3 yrs later and saw a new doc and he continued my current meds...at 26 i was switched to Aldomet 250 mg 2x day...due to the fact that i was to be married and start a family.

1323278 tn?1298122488 Does anybody suffer from daily headaches/migraines, or weird pressure-like sensation in the head/neck? I had this for about a year when I suffered my first undiagnosed attack about 12 years ago, and I've had it for 10 months already since my optic neuritis in April. What do you do to treat it? It doesn't prevent me from carrying out with my daily life... but God, it's annoying. Really annoying.
Avatar f tn Ibuprofin is a blood thinner, the thinner the blood the less pressure to push the tissue out so it could be slowing it down.
Avatar n tn I also have high blood pressure and take Ibuprofen (which is like meloxicam as its an NSAID), I was told to drink MORE water so that the Ibuprofen doesn't make the blood pressure worse. Its some sort of chemical thing, a pharmacist told me once. Ever since then, my blood pressure has been so much better. Good luck to you.
Avatar n tn To an answer your question, yes you should be concerned. Ask her doctor about blood pressure medication to keep her blood pressure down, ask her doctor about aspirin to prevent dangerous blood clots, and if her heart keeps racing ask her doctors about a beta blocker and to test for a kidney (adrenal) tumor. Hope she is feeling better soon. Most people who take heart medication can live a long life.

Avatar m tn According to research institutes, Ibuprofen overdose damages your internal organs like liver. 5900973 tn?1396064391 Then in the morning my hands and feet were swollen and I felt lots of pressure in my pelvis. I figured the pressure was just the baby Ina new position, I'm 25 weeks. So for most of today I've just had the pressure feeling. Then I decided to take a shower and I had cramps the entire time I was in there. When I got out they stopped but now my back hurts. Anyone else experience this?
973741 tn?1342342773 As far as I can tell, this is only a problem if you have hypertension. If you have normal blood pressure, the rise isn't going to affect you that much. Celebrex and Vioxx are far more connected to major heart events, again as far as I'm aware.
Avatar f tn Also, with prolonged pain like that, coupled with ibuprofen and caffeine- check your blood pressure. Having high blood pressure unchecked can put you at risk for stroke. Also, rebound headache from the steps you've been taking could be an issue. You really do need to get with a well-qualified neurologist.
Avatar f tn The other possibilities are cervical nerve not compression, internal ear problems, dental caries, temporal arteritis, migraine, tension headaches and high blood pressure. In case you test negative for sinusitis you will need to explore these possibilities. Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar n tn I had two cardiologist already dismissed the heart, several stress tests, ekgs, blood work, ultrasound, doppler check...everything normal...the cardiologist yesterday said that by looking at all the work that I already had done, he highly doubts that it is from the heart...he said that it sounds more like neurological issue....I also had been checked by a gastroenterologist, nothing found there, even after an endoscopy. I had a mild gastritis according to the gastro guy....
Avatar f tn t take ibuprofen or nsaids/aspirin (for different reasons-- they increase blood pressure). I get headaches and cramps too. I have gerd from time to time. Acetaminophen doesn't help me either. How much ibuprofen were you taking? So, what about trying a heating pad? What about a topical nsaid? Yoga? How may days do your cramps last each cycle? I feel where you are coming from. I had a great response to ibuprofen and giving it up was a loss.

Avatar f tn I ask because I seem to get some mild paid from my Right kidney shortly after I have a drink. I have recently had some blood tests too, and my GP said my liver blood tests were high. I'm currently awaiting the results from a liver scan, and I'm having further blood tests next week too. My GP is not aware of the self harm. I have since been feeling very tired, I'm eating g a lot so have put weight on and I struggle to concentrate on my work and get quite angry with people.
