Oh just re-read your question and honestly I don't know. I do know you can take ibuprofen while breastfeeding and you can take tylenol and ibuprofen together. So if you have ibuprofen I'd take that.

Well for my migraines, I take advil migraine relief, it works wonders for me. Good Luck, migraines are a real pain.
My doctor gave me a list of pain meds and stuff i can and cant take! Tylenol is on the side of cant take! Because it is asprin and asprin thins the blood and makes it harder for ur blood to clot! U could bleed out when in labor! Ibuprofen is on the can take side! I see a lot of post on here saying yes take tylenol ur doctors say its ok up to 1000mg. This is my 4th baby and every time my doctors have said no tylenol! Is my doctor wrong? Or is it a preference thing between doctors?
I just was curious about he comment that going back and forth is not good for the body thatquietgirl. doctors do recommend this frequently. When a child is sick, for example or has surgery, they give you a schedule of alternating between acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen. I've also had this regimen offered to me by my doctor as one works for 4 hours and one for 4 to 6 hours--- so you watch the schedule and it provides coverage of pain relief. ??
I've been having very bad tooth aches. I used to take ibuprofen & it stop the pain almost immediately. I'm 7 weeks. Can I take 1?
Thank you for replying. Can also taking Advil and Tylenol together cause a rash? I have taken them together a couple times and I did break out in a rash. But I know I am not allergic to the advil because I have been taking that alone without the tylenol and didn't break out in a rash. It is only the tylenol that I take by itself that I break out in a rash.

that's not a correct statement. Tylenol toxicity depends on the state the liver is in as to stage/grade of disease, and also what other medications the patients already has to be on.
If this is the third day, you may not even need pain meds any more. I would try just taking ibuprofen or tylenol as atonicat suggested to see if that helps. In fact, if you take one of each, you'll find you get excellent pain control. Many dentists tell you to take both together in emergencies while you are waiting to get into the office to be seen.
Is it true you shouldn't take ibuprofen it can harm the baby? I just seen this today while doing research as to this is my first. i have been taking it before I found out I was thinking my period was coming and I've always had bad cramps so I know to start taking it before my period comes to help with the pain. Should I be worried that I've harmed the baby from taking it? I'm 5 weeks BTW.
Tylenol and ibuprophen are both bad for livers. In fact tylenol has caused people to have transplants. Having said that, some people tolerate it without problems.

Sorry, I don't know anything about bursitis but if it were me, I'd look into other alternatives.
I have been on all sorts of meds in the past, including vicodin and percocet. My orthopedic Dr. told me before I could mix tylenol with advil and it would equal a pain pill without the narcotic effect. I don't remember how many of each to take and how many hours apart to take each of them. Is this safe? I would rather take these then go back on pain meds! Thanks!
