ibuprofen and theraflu

When i got the flu at 32 weeks doc told me to.take sudafed and robitussen. You can use theraflu as well pretty much what doesnt have ibuprofen or asprin you can take.

Have any of you taken this while pregnant? I'm 36 weeks and haven't even taken Tylenol this pregnancy but I'm so sick. My doctors office is closed so I can't call and ask them. The only cold medicine I have at home is Theraflu.

I just found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant. One week ago I had a terrible flu and I took Theraflu for 3 days straight (about 13 packs). My question is is it going to affect my baby? What should I do? Is it possible to check my baby for any defects?

Doc called earlier this am and said no to the theraflu. But said that taking an antihistamine, a decongestant, and tylenol should have about the same effect. So, I took a benadryl, a sudafed, and a tylenol, but that's just not really helping either. I think I know the culprit though. I have a new neighbor that is about an 1/8th of a mile down the road from me. The old neighbors used their barn to store stuff in and the new ones are using it to smoke tobacco.

I have had the following symptoms for three days now: *When I move my eyes in any direction, the back of my eyes hurt. I also cannot look at sunlight. *When I cough (single violent dry cough), it jerks my head forward and hurts the sides of my head. *Not a sore throat, but a raw feeling. It's very sensitive when I breathe and makes me want to cough. Sometimes the coughs make my throat and head hurt.

I don't honestly know if you can take theraflu. I would call your doctor for an answer to that one. Green tea with lots of honey might do the trick though. It's warm, the honey will coat your throat which should relieve pain and irritation, and since it's green tea you can drink as much as you want!

I am 13 weeks pregnant and I have the body flu, body aches, nasal congestion, headaches, and sore throat. I cannot wait this cold out, I feel horrible, is Theraflu okay to have !?

Just normal regular strength theraflu. I asked about this specifically because its always made me feel better and sore throat was my main thing.

Have you tried any OTC cold medicines? I use Theraflu in the gel caps and it works wonderful for the cold symptoms and the aches that come with it... You also might massage lotion deep into your legs... Put Vicks on the bottom of your feet then put on a pair of socks... Not sure why but this really works in relieving those nasty cold symptoms... I hope your better soon...

I took over the counter medications for several days (Nyquil, Dayquil, various vitamins, Theraflu etc...) and most of the symptoms subsided over the following week. I still have a slightly sore throat, but nothing near as bad as it was at its worst and the fatigue has gone away... not sure on the fever, I still feel a little warm, but have been unable to take an accurate temperaturein a few days.

Hi all...so I have an itchy throat and cant stop sneezing and I am in my TWW after IVF (I know great timing ;)). Anyway, do you think its safe to take cold medicine or theraflu??

you can have theraflu. it works great and is safe. its on the list of safe meds my OB gave me. or robitusin is good too.

But being pregnant and uncomfortable astit is you should talk to your doctor about medications. And ask if you can take Theraflu because that'll knock you out if you have trouble sleeping. Get better soon!

Thanks for your advice ladies, it helps! I'm trying a humidifier, cough drops, tea and honey, and I tried the neti pot tonight for the first time. I'd never heard of the neti pot before but a friend suggested it and it actually helped relieve some of the pressure. I'm sorry your sick amcbealian... I'd love nothing more than a Lil nyquil!

Hi I have a massive period ache , therefore I took 1100 mg of ibuprofen . At first I had taken 500 mg tablet but it's been an hour and a half and it did not help , so I took an other tablet of ibuprofen of 600 mg . The pain is gone but I feel very tired , can I be harmed or die out of it ? Should I ask for help ? Or has anybody been familiar with it ? Please help me , I am a hypochondriac person and I also have OCD and use Prozac .

I took tylenol this morning. I took Ibuprofen an hour ago . I coudnnt take it anymore. It was a one time thing and i feel so much better. Will my baby be okay?

whenever i take even one 550mg (naproxen) ibuprofen and then drink, my stomach gets tender and bloated and i feel bad. i usually take a maalox or something like that, yet i never throw up from it so i don't know if that's applicable for you. i think it is due to the ibuprofen, but if you're not used to eating spicy foods then it could have disagreed with you, not necessarily meaning food poisoning. you should never drink and take NSAIDs at the same time.

Ibuprofen is bad for our livers. Try getting a massage if you can. Bromelian, a natural supplement made from pineapples helps reduce swelling but it takes time to work. Also, make sure you're drinking lots of water, and getting some exercise. Try some yoga too. Pot brownies worked the best for my back pain.

I have a infected broke off wisdom tooth during my last pregnancy my face swelled up and I was out of Tylenol so I took a 800 mg ibuprofen. Bad call for me but I was in pain and it was only once and everything turned out fine with baby so I was lucky.

hi this i defo something no about with my last pregnancy i had severe headaches and i was taking ibuprofen i was taken them all the time but i finally went to the doctors because the pain wouldn't settle and the doctor said DO NOT take ibuprofen just take cocodomal i think thats how you spell it lol.

Can Ibuprofen cause dizziness, ear pain, stuffiness, and feelings of passing out if taken several times a week?

Killer headaches, and never any Tylenol around. Ibuprofen can't be that bad huh? Got to go to work and this headache must go.

/ I take a warm bath and just relax. Try drinking some water and lying on your left side. You can take reg tylonel . that's about it .
