Yes! and Yes! again. From my experience bowel inflammation and even bleeding can be either Crohn's or IBS related. As well, I use to take ibuprofen for the pain but I now know that particular anti-inflammatory creates ulcers and bleeding in our intestines! In fact the pictures from a prior year colonoscopy were outright rejected because I had been consuming ibuprofen periodically...

t seem like IBS to me. I am super careful with my diet and have been on the elimination diet permanently because every one of the "forbidden" foods on the list bothers either my IBS or my GERD or both. I have the kind that is prone to constipation. I don't feel constipated. I haven't had a bowel movement for a while, but I've been on a semi-solid diet of homemade soup for quite a while.

When I was 20-21 i noticed eating things I normally could caused me stomach pain and diarrhea (within 2-4 hours of ingesting food) in which I treated with ibuprofen, and tylenol as needed. It persisted even after many doctors appointments. A few months later I started having pain while urinating, and I noticed my extremities were cold no matter where I was. Went to the doctor, got STD tests ran, and it all came back negative.

but everything came back normal and negative and clear (for which I am grateful) but now they say its IBS and all the medications they have tried me on before don't work at all....yet when I take an Ibuprofen for the pain it works on an off, so are there any nerves or inflammation conditions of the stomach that I am not aware of yet?

I visited the Mayo Clinic and had every test done. They diagnosed me with IBS-D and sent me on my way. They prescribed low dose anti depressants and anti-cramp medicines. Neither of these helped. From age 12-15 I struggled with the symptoms mentioned above, on a slow decline. I lost significant weight and ended up not being able to eat anything at one point. At this point, I was admitted to the ICU.

Hi Thankyou so much for your reply, we just feel like we are getting no further into finding out what the problem is but i will definatly ask the gp to test him for the things you suggested. We are just worried that they will put it down to IBS and it ends up being something they miss thats more serious. Thanks so much.

I was diagnosed with IBS-Constipation Type and given literature on the condition and nothing more. So, I sought a second opinion and this GI also did nothing and told me he didn't think I needed to be scoped - ridiculous in my opinion taking into account my history and active symptoms. I was very displeased and went for a 3rd opinion as I was experiencing severe abdominal pain and spasms, severe constipation, gas and bloating with visible distension and a recent onset of acid reflux.

Hi, I have a left breast sharp pain, it also feels like muscle tightness, it goes under my armpit, down my arm underneath and on top, my neck and jaw, it has now travelled to my back and shoulder bone. This is really frightening me. I had the same problem 3 years ago and i was checked for heart, PE, Angina etc but everything was fine. They let me out of hospital and i could not even walk the pain was that bad.

Hi I have a massive period ache , therefore I took 1100 mg of ibuprofen . At first I had taken 500 mg tablet but it's been an hour and a half and it did not help , so I took an other tablet of ibuprofen of 600 mg . The pain is gone but I feel very tired , can I be harmed or die out of it ? Should I ask for help ? Or has anybody been familiar with it ? Please help me , I am a hypochondriac person and I also have OCD and use Prozac .

I took tylenol this morning. I took Ibuprofen an hour ago . I coudnnt take it anymore. It was a one time thing and i feel so much better. Will my baby be okay?

whenever i take even one 550mg (naproxen) ibuprofen and then drink, my stomach gets tender and bloated and i feel bad. i usually take a maalox or something like that, yet i never throw up from it so i don't know if that's applicable for you. i think it is due to the ibuprofen, but if you're not used to eating spicy foods then it could have disagreed with you, not necessarily meaning food poisoning. you should never drink and take NSAIDs at the same time.

Ibuprofen is bad for our livers. Try getting a massage if you can. Bromelian, a natural supplement made from pineapples helps reduce swelling but it takes time to work. Also, make sure you're drinking lots of water, and getting some exercise. Try some yoga too. Pot brownies worked the best for my back pain.

I have a infected broke off wisdom tooth during my last pregnancy my face swelled up and I was out of Tylenol so I took a 800 mg ibuprofen. Bad call for me but I was in pain and it was only once and everything turned out fine with baby so I was lucky.

Killer headaches, and never any Tylenol around. Ibuprofen can't be that bad huh? Got to go to work and this headache must go.

Ibuprofen is never allowed.. Tylenol is only option and now that im in third trimester the pharmacy told me that doctors dont even want us taking that.

My sister in law was never told not to take Ibuprofen and miscarried.
