ibuprofen

1323278 tn?1298122488 I have been through periods when I had ongoing headaches and I was taking what I considered far too many OTC headaches tablets just to give me relief. In the end i tried a different approach and went and saw a dietician who suggested some changes to my diet, and also that I had candida of the gut. I followed her instructions and my headaches disappeared and it was only then that I realised how much they had intervened in my daily life.
7758733 tn?1402589420 Killer headaches, and never any Tylenol around. Ibuprofen can't be that bad huh? Got to go to work and this headache must go.

Avatar f tn I'm a ftm 15 weeks 5 days pregnant. I know that headaches are a symptom this week and for the weeks ahead however does anybody have any suggestions on how to try and prevent them? I've had a headache non stop for 5 days now. I've been taking the maximum dose of ibuprofen that I can take each day and drinking loads of water yet nothing seems to work.
Avatar f tn I know that it sounds counter-intuitive, but you should probably try stopping taking the ibuprofen and caffeine and see if that helps any. I know (from experience) that it's really hard to give up pain killers, but even OTC painkillers such as ibuprofen can make the pain WORSE if you take it too often. It's called getting a rebound, and can cause a nasty cycle. Other than that, good luck with your doc appointment next Friday.
655875 tn?1295695107 I will try and cut back on the daily ibuprofen/aspirin and use the ice packs a little longer. The self-hypnosis looks interesting and is something I'm going to look into. I'm trying to find the underlying cause of these headaches and try to avoid the triggers before the headaches happen. I'm glad to hear that my Maxalt usage is most likely not the cause for the daily headaches and it works extremely well as a last resort.
6050747 tn?1378954343 Hello there, MSG or monosodium glutamate is used as a flavour inhancer in a variety of foods. Some soups contain MSG as well as Chinese food unless you ask for no MSG. I myself am quite sensitive to MSG and I've been known to get headaches from consuming a product with MSG in it.. Does your son eat any products with MSG in it ? You could check the labels on any food your son eats that may contain MSG. Just an idea.
Avatar m tn I was prescribed Mupirocin for a non-healing nasal ulcer. I used it for about 2 days then woke up with a bad headache today from the get go. I've tried everything I can. I have taken Tylenol TWICE, Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen in it, nasal spray, a Breathe Right nasal strip (since I do have severe sinus problems.) NOTHING has worked or given any relief.
Avatar f tn Im 12 weeks & 4 days & I've been having these awful headaches. Idk what to do about them or what to take for it. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn Most associate stress with high blood pressure but I, for one, have and still do experience a lot of stress and my headaches are always in the front of my head and I am the Only one in my immediate family that does not have high blood pressure.
Avatar f tn I have had headaches for as long as I can remember. I find relief by taking Ibuprofen at the onset of each headache. I suspect that after many years of taking Ibuprofen that my liver isn't too happy. Anyway, the reason I am writing here is it feels as though many of my headaches originate somehow from the spine. I can sit certain ways and actually cause my head to hurt. Then I can move back the other direction and the headache will subside.
Avatar n tn Thanks for responding. I usually just take it to relieve pains of occasional headaches or cramps. I guess now I'll just drink some green tea and be okay with being a little uncomfortable now and then.
Avatar f tn very weak and exhausted, and in pain in my arms, legs, and shoulders. I also have massive headaches almost every day that last almost all day long. In addition, I often wake up in the morning with a numb body and tingling sensation in my face. I can move fine, but it just feels like something is not quite right. My violin instructor noticed a couple weeks ago that my forearms and hands seem to be swollen so she felt along some of the muscles, and it hurt very bad.
Avatar f tn Have had a couple of headaches which is par for the course, which brings me to a question. Re headaches; the nurse tells me paracetomol is fine to deal with headaches and fever. However, I seem to recall the advice in the 90's for people with HCV was for them not to take products with paracetomol in them because they were hard on the liver. I have to say I've tended to use disprin/aspirin instead of paracetomol over the last 10 years because of this advice.
Avatar f tn Should deff ask ur Dr first.
Avatar f tn For the last few days I've had a sharp throbbing headaches on the right side of my head. It gets extremely worse when I turn my head to the right or lean forward. I've taken Ibuprofen, tension headache, I've even tried 2 800mg Ibuprofen nothing seems to help. I do have high blood pressure, in which I check often, and is controlled with HCTZ 25mg and a low sodium diet. I'm doing some research to see if I can take care of this problem without going to the doctor.
1326947 tn?1277294765 I'm sorry you are having such bad headaches. I've had a few, but 2 Ibuprofen always take care of them. What part of your head is hurting? When I have them in my face and eyes... you know where it feels like your eyes and teeth have so much pressure that they are going to pop out... I've discovered that that is sinuses, and then I add antihistamine to the Ibuprofen, because Ibuprofen alone can't deal with that. My personal favorite is Actifed.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone - question - did any of you avoid taking ibuprofen (advil) between ovulation and when AF should arrive? I suffer from a lot of headaches and migraines and ibuprofen has always worked so well for my headaches. Tylenol hardly helps at all. Anyway, I've been finding it difficult during the 2ww. Should I be avoiding ibuprofen during that time?
Avatar m tn s sounds a lot like its due to your computer use, take a break from TV screens, computer screens, and cell phone screens for a few days, take an ibuprofen or two, and get plenty of sleep. You should be fine.
Avatar f tn This is my second pregnancy and I'm 5w5d and I've started to get headaches. Can't remember if its only Tylenol I'm allowed to take. Help!
Avatar f tn I have been having a really bad headache that started late last night on the back of right side of my head. I took some ibuprofen, calmed me down for the night and was capable to fall asleep but when I woke up, starting to feel it again, it has not went away. What is causing this?
Avatar f tn My doctor told me to try drinking two big glasses of water as quickly as possibly for major headaches and stay very hydrated...
184420 tn?1326739808 mine is constant, and had catscan yesterday for the headaches, doc wanted to make sure nothing else was going on. He gave me some hydrcodone and I took one and that is the last one I will take, threw up big time and I am already nauseas all the time. Keep an eye on the headaches you may need more tests too.
Avatar m tn Im 17 Over the past 2 years i got headaches everyday and migraines regularly some could be very bad. I used to take pills everyday paracetamol and ibuprofen and sometimes used to go over the limit the box said. I found myself as you would say "addicted" to them needing to take them regularly. If i didnt take them regularly i would get a headache and feel dizzy. The migraines then stopped last year and i was still taking pills but forced myself to stop before xmas.
Avatar f tn I am 40 years old... my youngest of two children is 17!!! I am only in my 6th week and I have nauseating headaches every week. My first Drs appt is Dec 12th but I need to know what I can do that won't harm my baby. I tried pressure points but that didn't work. Please help!
7177914 tn?1399518500 I tend to get frequent headaches. Normally I take 3/4 ibuprofen and sleep it off if it messes with my eyesight and is basically a migraine because Tylenol doesn't even help with a minor one.... now being pregnant again and headaches have gotten worse over the years, how else can I relieve my pain? Thoughts?
