Hello, I've been getting white bumps on my tongue since I was a kid and I'm in my 20's now. My grandmother use to tell me they were lie bumps and sure enough when I told a big lie one would appear on my tongue the next day or few.lol. But the explanation for this is that when you lie about something that ur nervouse about something happens to your body.

Once I start and it hurts I just cannot stop to the point where the front of my tongue is completely bloody and red. After a biting session I pour salt on the end of my tongue and see how long i can keep it there through the pain and then after that I am able to stop myself for a while. I am not into self harm or anything I just cant control it.

Both activities were very bouncy, and when I woke up the next day, it felt like i had bitten up my tongue pretty bad. I should go try to find this post. In my mind I thought I was starting to have RA and freaked out. (My mind tends to go to the worst scenarios these days ) Went to PCP, thought I might have knocked it hard or something. (Yes, the pain kept me up at night as well). Couldn't bend it, finger throbbed, just awful. I had an appt with Neuro about 2 weeks later, finger didnt "hurt" the same way any longer, but the skin felt like it was on fire. Kind of like my TN but on my finger.

My wisdom tooth on the lower right side of my mouth is coming in. I really don't feel any pain from it except the fact that I keep biting my cheek on that side. I don't know what is going on. I have always had weakness in my leg. Since my LP it has gotten a lot weaker and shakier. I have resorted to using my cane to keep me balanced. Are the headaches and increased weakness due to the LP? The headache is gone today (Thank God) but the weakness and shaking in my leg is worse. You could be having seizures in your sleep. Every time I have a seizure I bite my tongue, and I didn't start having seizures until I was in my early 30s. When I have seizures in my sleep, sometimes the only clue is the bite injuries to my tongue. It's worth asking your doctor.

Also, during my last relapse, I would wake myself up right when I chomped my tongue really hard, like my jaws just snapped shut. It was so painful and I didn't really think too far beyond it until I was later diagnosed and learned that muscle spasms happen more at night/sleep time. I have that on my watch list too.
