I am 100% positive it isn't an std. So is it still a yeast infection just without the white **** or just horribly irritated or what? Also how can I make it stop!?!
If you are having reoccuring yeast infections it might be that you aren't treating the right kind of yeast infection. I have read that 80% of yeast infections are caused by candida albicans (can be treated by monistat or diflucan) and 20% by Candida albrata. Is it possible that this is your problem? Also, I too had reoccurring yeast for awhile and dr. ended up prescribing boric acid capsules. You have to get them at a compounding pharmacy or look up online how to make them yourself.
I have a yeast infection and took the oral pill and got some external cream. How long do i need to wait before having intercourse again? I have had problems for 3 years and finally got a hysterectomy. I have finally found an understanding man and we are very sexually active more than daily.. I want to know how long we have to wait before having sex?
if you were tested for yeast and nothing came up then you know this isn't a yeast infection. give your regular doctor a call and ask them to order a full std screening on you. you might have to make up a story to get it done ( i.e. tell them you suspect your husband of cheating so that they have a reason to test you and usually then it's covered by your insurance too ). sounds like you could use the peace of mind of a full screening even though it's not likely this is std related.
I would have it checked. You can also get same symptoms with a yeast infection, because it irritates the urethra which is only a couple inches inside your body.
Of course, don't know if that's what you'll have. It could just be an regular yeast infection not HPV. Even so, whatever it is, you'll get it treated and everything will be ok.
i am 27 i just recently had a supercervical hysterectomy in july due to endometriosis in the uterus my ovaries are still in tact but since i have started being sexually active again with my boyfriend i have had a thick white discharge like in a yeast infection and a slight odor but no burning or itching i did treat it as it was a yeat infection with a 1 day treatment the symptoms are still there it had no effect what so ever . could this be something else? should i be worried?

of 2007, I had my annual PAP and the results were LSIL changes. My PA said the chances were that it was nothing, maybe I had a bit of a yeast infection or something, and that we should redo the test in 6 months. I was nervous about waiting that long so I asked if we could retest in three months, which was January. The results of that PAP just came back and there are now HSIL changes noted.
negative, no UTI after that I had a HUGE yeast infection, very bad...took 2 rounds of cream to get this fixed I was still having the same pain in urethra and it was worst....so dr gave me a very strong antibiotic and the red pill (forget the name) to numb the bladder...
It has been with the same partner the entire time. No pain or odor. Slight itching (very minimal) Should i treat it like a yeast infection or suck it up and take my lecture from my doctor for an antibiotic?
The only thing helping is a cleanse tablet that the bowels become dependent on if you use it too long. I also just had a yeast infection, it's been years since I've had one of these. I read all the above, is anyone having any luck with anything?
I HAVE ALSO HAD A BACTERIAL VAGINITUS(EXCUSE THE SPELING I MIGHT NOT BE CALLING IT RIGHT)I HAVE NOT HAD AS MUCH AS A YEAST INFECTION IN 30 YEARS AND NOW I CANNOT GET RID OF THIS.I HAVE TAKEN THREE MEDS, FOR YEAST AND THREE FOR BACTERIA AND STILL HAVE THIS.HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM.THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST PART OF THE HYSTERECTOMY FOR ME.
Well I be damn, I'm not the only hysterectomy-notwannabe out there. I thought you would lose weight with the damn surgery, what is going on?
HI, STD and yeast infections are possible after hysterectomy as these occur via the vagina. Chlamydia is also possible especially if the cervix has been left behind. Hence it will be best to consult your Doctor and rule out the possibility after a thorough evaluation. Hope this helps.
then home, didn't need any stronger painkiller then tylenol...
In october last year that was 3 months down the line the symptoms resurfaced, but only this time the smell is gone, when i reconsulted i was told i have yeast infection and i was told to stop eating staff with yeast and acid.
it is a IV catheter, with a picc line that goes directly to the heart. her line became infected in february, with positive cultures for yeast and bacteria(i cant remember the bacterial strain). it was dxed as early sepsis and she cleared in 9 days of iv antibiotics. she was moved to a skilled nurse facility to finnish her iv tx, and pt.after 2 weeks there she developed a UTI. she cleared the infection, but 1 week later her wbc was starting to rise.

They did not give me any info except that it is a type of yeast infection and that I needed to take probiotics daily now. I asked what it meant and they just said to take the probiotics. Can someone help me understand? I thought yeast infections were short term and went away with treatment, so why the daily probiotics? Are there certain probiotics that I have to get? Is this pre cancerous? Thanks for your help. I'm very confused and getting no answer from the doctors office staff...
At first, I had a burning sensation and thought I was getting a yeast infection, but I've never experienced bleeding with one before. Now, the burning is accompanied with blood that was first streaky and is getting more pronounced. If, I didn't know better I would also say that I am having menstrual cramps, but of course this is impossible. Since, it is Sunday night there is nothing I can do, but go to the emergency room, which I don't want to do based on the other posts I have read.
I thought I had a yeast infection. A urinalysis revealed I had two bacterial infections. Could that be because they kept removing and reinserting the catheter, I wonder. I also know now that I have a latex allergy. I ended up with blisters all over my stomach from where they bandaged the strips to close the incisions.
I have been getting my six month check ups and am due for one next month. I was burning in my vagina and thinking it may be a yeast infection and I used some monostat. I started bleeding the next night and the burning got worse. I am going to my oncologist but can't get in to see him for a month. He is all booked up. Going to my regular doctor to get a CA125 blood test and a pap smear. Hoping this info will put my mind at ease til I get in to see my oncologist.
i had my vaginal hysterectomy and bladder sling surgery 3 weeks ago today. i just regained the ability to pee on my own without the catheter at the end of last week. but i am unsure if the burning feeling when i pee is from where the catheter was in for so long, or if i am or have developed a uti?
They treated it, but the culture came back negative. I was back the next week and was treated for a yeast infection. That didn't help. I won't call what I have pain, it's more of an irritation. The closest thing I can liken it to is when you have a UTI and you feel like you need to urinate all the time. But I don't have one. It's almost constant and the only thing that helped was sitting on a hot heating pad and Lortab.
(if u had this it would hurt bad a big cyst) 2. You don't say how much bleeding, no bleeding at this point would be normal. You can have bleeding with bladder infection or yeast infection in vagina. Do you have irritation in vaginal area? You can have bleeding after intercourse as well. If none of these things sound like the reason for bleeding you should call for apt with physician asap.
