Avatar f tn I have had a hysterectomy but I still have my ovaries but now I feel like something has fell and when I went to Urinate yesterday I had something in the stool that looked like blood any suggestions
Avatar f tn I have recently began to see commercials regarding problems caused by the Mirena IUD. I had a Mirena for approximately 3 years and continued to have problems with break through bleeding and pain. I ended up having 3 surgeries in less than 2 years. First an Endometreal ablation and tubal ligation, then (with a new gynecologist) a partial hysterectomy, and finally a complete hysterectomy.
Avatar m tn It has been almost 2 years since the hysterectomy and I feel like I have been thru hell. Having a hysterectomy was the worst thing I have ever done. I have gained weight.. my hair got thin. The emotional roller coaster is a nightmare. The first thing I think of when I wake up every morning is that I wish I was dead. I am enduring life, not living it. With all that said I am trying to get regulated, I haven't given up all hope. I started back taking my synthroid again regularly.
Avatar m tn i would like to know if there is anything i can do about any of my problems or what i may have. i know ovarian cancer runs in my family but my doctor is to concerned with fixing the symptoms than the actual problem that anything i say gets disregarded, all she does is change my birth control every 6 months to see if a different one will work.
Avatar f tn i had a hysterectomy 7 years ago and 1week after surgery my stomach broke open they did not put a drainage tube inwhen had operation they reopened me in the doctors surgery and took a swob found septisiemia.thenleft site opened had five more operations on hysterectomy site to remove septis and left me opened each time to heal inside out i am still interriable crippling pain bloat like i am 6\7 months pregnant.
Avatar f tn I don't have another option available to offer but, I'm wondering why they are reluctant in doing a hysterectomy at 55 years of age? That much bleeding and the abalation not working can't be a comfortable way to live. I'm so sorry that you're going through this. Do you have any reluctance towards having a hysterectomy? If not, then perhaps, another gynecologist might be in order?
Avatar f tn i had a hysterectomy done november 27th my 45 birthday......they left the left ovary in side.i had everything removed but the 1 ovary...well my hormone's have bee very bad.that i can't do nothing with out it borthering me all the time.i hate to go any where now.they just are so sever it's bad/.can any one help me with what i can do or see someone for a cure or something.it is very stressful to.
1710955 tn?1309446473 But I thought it was caused by taking estrogen. There is a link between bladder and bowel problems after hysterectomy since those organs are displaced after the uterus is removed. So it would seem possible that the gall bladder could be affected too. Although I don't have abdominal pain, my bowels have been messed up since my hysterectomy. A test showed fat malabsorption which may or may not be related to the gall bladder or pancreas.
Avatar f tn I agree with most things medical and otherwise helps to talk with someone who actually has been through it,,,,you will be able to offer lots of help to your friends who may have a hyster in the future but its one of those things you kinda have to go through to really get hpw hard it is and yet how hopefull it is also to end pain and other problems that cause the need for a hysterectomy..
Avatar f tn t know what I should do I am afraid to use the estrogen cream because of breast cancer in my family.. any suggestions would be appreciated ..also.
Avatar f tn I had total hysterectomy 16 years ago I am now 56. I take monthly infusions of IVIG for low IGG immunoglobulin and very low IGA. I have heart disease, anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, arthritis, irritable bowel back issues, migraines basically been falling apart since 2007 when diagnosed with sarcoidosis. Which now has healed itself after oncologist ruled out cancer. Wondering if hormones could help?
Avatar f tn I have been in your shoes, I had a hysterectomy, already had problems with a ovarian cyst,,Dr refused to remove ovary. A year later ovary was so bad it was attached to my bowel with endometrosis tissue. Im not a dr, but I am going to make a educated guess and say it really sounds like a cyst,,all possibiltys must be told to all patients. Usually a ovarian absess is actually in the tube near the top where eggs are released. A hematoma is possible but less common.
Avatar f tn t have trouble with until i had the hysterectomy. it was suppose to make me better ,but instead caused new problems that i didnt need.
Avatar f tn I had a hysterectomy 4 weeks ago still feel pain and I have brownish discharge is that normal ?
Avatar f tn Is hysterectomy the best option. My gyno says I have 4 fibroids and 1 ovarian cyst. I have no pain and no problem with the fibroids. The cyst is giving me problems for its sore almost every time. If I do a lot of walking, exercise, physical work etc, i feel pain on the right and I think thats were my ovary is. I also feel pain during my period. The pain goes down my right leg at times.
1070971 tn?1299614110 s a few years since you posted about your bowels after hysterectomy but I too had terrible problems and after three more ops they told me that they had untwisted my bowel and put it back on the right side. It had been excruciating pain to deal with. That was 1998 , todate for the past two years my bowel has stopped working altogether and I now medicate to evacuate my bowels. I am convinced this is due to the problems after hysterectomy but of course unable to prove anything.
1135628 tn?1260548299 I had a complete Hysterectomy in 02 im 30 yrs old.And i have severe hip pain.I cant sit still for long or stand very long it hurts when I sleep or lie down I have to move alot it hurts so bad I havent took any hormones.
1510783 tn?1290096307 usually you have a short hospital stay unless you have any health problems. i had to stay longer due to other health problems and a reaction to the anestesia. my pain wasnt as bad as everyone said it was going to be. i had a c-section in 92 so they went in through the same scar and did mine that way. like you i was nervous and we are about the same age.
Avatar f tn I too had a complete hysterectomy and have my ovaries. A "Radical" hysterectomy with when they take everything. Anyway. I didn't have symptoms as bad as yours but I swore I was going through menopause and all doc's said no. I still don't believe them. You are having all the symptoms of menopause and I did as well. I went on estrogen and it helped alot. Not having a Uterus helps with the main problem of possible uterine cancer from ERT.
Avatar n tn I have numerous health problems ie: PAD, Artheriolsclerosis, Factor V Leiden, high potassium and cholesterol. I have severe right side pain. Fibroids on the outside of uterus and cyst on right ovary. It is feasible for me to have a hysterectomy. Doc wants to put in an IUD but with all of my blood clotting problems I do not think this is a good idea.
Avatar f tn ve been diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer (papillary) at 38. Could there be a connection between the Hysterectomy and Thyroid Cancer? No major problems before hysterectomy.
Avatar f tn I have always had female problems. In 2016 my OB decoded it was time for a complete hysterectomy. I don't have my ovaries, tubes, uterus, or cervix. In the past year I've begun having what feels like menstrual cramps. I don't understand what's going on. What could be wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm having a hysterectomy due to cervical dysplasia and already having 3 LEEP procedures and no cervix left.. They want to remove my ovaries at the same time. Being 63 and post menopausal for a while I thought it would be fine but now a bit concerned after reading more on the internet regarding health after.
Avatar f tn I just concerned about breast cancer, cervical cancer and ovarian cancer and I honestly want and Complete Hysterectomy. I had a tubal ligation in 2006 and even my 4th GYN was a little concerned about me going through menopause a little early. I forgot to mentioned I had a total thyroidectomy this year 8/2010 and my body and health has not been right since the surgery.
Avatar f tn After researching a hysterectomy, it looks like that would be the last (and drastic thing) to do if I even had problems. I have had NO problems with my mirena and been free from periods for 10 years now - absolute bliss. I've been advised that it's better to leave things as they are (just have a new mirena fitted) and allow things to occur naturally with menopause and don't remove uterus as it is invasive. Any advise please. Should I leave things as they are??
