Common Questions and Answers about Hysterectomy nursing responsibility

hysterectomy

Avatar f tn I was just thinking this morning that you sound a little like my GP. While my GP says everything is stress-related, with you, it is responsibility-related. It's interesting how I seem to complicate even the most basic thing(s). It was just an observation. Something which says more about me than anything else. Other than being guided, by others, towards principles that may elicit change. Do you think me seeing my GP weekly is excessive?
Avatar f tn How do people/ patients learn to take responsibility for themselves (and their thoughts, feelings and behaviors)? Responsibility can feel like an elusive trait/ characteristic. Is responsibility also just a name? Can we ?obtain/ achieve it by accepting and confronting reality? Emotional eating and mental health issues all come back to taking responsibility, don't they? How does one take responsibility when one is stuck?

Avatar f tn I had 2 surgeries 2 years ago, and the last was a horizontal cut hysterectomy. My muscles in my stomach are still not mended, and my colon was scarred during one surgery. So, I cannot enjoy my usual presurgery workouts. I was in the military for 11 years, so having this new pouch in my stomach is new for me. I'm already a vegetarian, don't eat sugar often, but I cannot get the weight off. As a matter of fact, it goes up and down all of the time. Has anyone else been in this situation?
Avatar n tn After recommended to a Gyn specialist, after the appointment, I was suddenly scheduled for a complete hysterectomy a couple weeks ago. No biopsy was performed on my ovaries. Biospy of the uterus proved benign. I'm 48 and though I know menopause draws near, I'm not sure if this is the right decision as heart disease and bone demineralization (osteoporosis) runs in my family. Keeping the ovaries is risky, but having another 4 or 5 years of natural hormone production could be a plus.
Avatar f tn On the subject of personal responsibility, do you believe that if a person is feeling suicidal that that is their sole responsibility? I'm feeling confused about a lot of things. I just don't want to make a mistake because I don't understand. Is this manageable alone if I concentrate on reality? The reality where things unfold naturally. Is working through my emotional eating issues enough for now? "Go back to your reality and make your life work." Is this enough?
Avatar n tn Does the referring dentist have any responsibility if there's a problem with what happened with the procedure that the dentist that he referred me to did?
Avatar f tn Text book symptoms for ovarian cyst, ovarian cancer, and endometriosis. I did an ultrasound and my GYN suggested a hysterectomy beings my tubes were tied and my cycle was so debilitating. She also suggested a CA-125 which was 495 and cancelled my surgery and referred me to a GYN-ONC. Now I am waiting.... She suggests that it is an ovarian hemorrhagic cyst, endometrioma, or endometriosis that is causing this issue.
Avatar m tn If you and your gf are having problems with lube because of her hysterectomy (I had a hysterectomy too, and have that problem), just get some lube. It will help it feel better for you both. And it can be fun to play with. ;) But wait until your symptoms are gone before you have sex.
Avatar f tn Not sure what to do, I am fifty, perimenopausal, Dr says I have complex ovarian cysts and endometriosis, (also two types of bladder problems going on) Dr says that I also tested positive for the MTHFR gene which makes me high risk for not surviving a hysterectomy, says if I do survive, I would have to go to a nursing care facility, also told me that she cannot say that I do not have ovarian cancer, ca-125 was normal, she says I have alot going on, put me on pill for bladder, wants me to start in

Avatar f tn m in treatment and working in a position of some responsibility (not in the medical field) in a small town. I wanted to keep my dx and tx to myself but it didn't work out that way. Because the information is out there I quit trying to hide it. If someone asks me anything I answer. If it's how are you I answer that I'm still putting one foot in front of the other and change the subject.

Avatar n tn I was taking 300-400 mg daily for 2 months for pain post bad hysterectomy a year ago. I just discovered drug dependency a couple of weeks ago when I quit taking the drug for a day due to no pain. I had the worst night of my life and got relief almost immediately after taking the drug again. I have taken hydrophone, codeine, Vicodin, and others post surgery as the Dr recommended and have never had a problem with addiction.
Avatar n tn I had trouble nursing with my first baby. Ouch, is all I can say. At one point, on day three of being home, he had blood coming out of his mouth. What was that blood? Oh, just his latching on incorrectly causing me to have cuts. Like for real, it was that bad. I was about to give up completely at that point but my darling husband went and called Le Leche league to talk to me.

1203024 tn?1265536718 I had a total hysterectomy in 97 age 25 for endometriosis. The previous year i had to have surgery for severe right sided pain which was discovered to be caused by ovarian cysts on my right ovary. Hysterectomy removed my ovaries, cervix, etc.. 4 years ago i develoved lower right sided abdominal pain which came and went and varied in severity. I had urine tests which ruled out kidney stones, an abdominal x-ray and blood tests which revealed nothing.
Avatar n tn m a single mom and have been given feedback over the past couple of years that my son will not take responsibility for his actions. It has become maddening and is very much affecting my quality of life at this point. Today I asked him to not slam the car door so hard and he insisted that he DIDN'T slam the door. The ensuing ordeal humbles me to my core.. I'm exhausted and feel frustration levels at this point that are truly unhealthy.
Avatar f tn Hi Friends- I am a (newly) 42 yr old married, 1d&c, no live births with no family history of hormonal cancer, patient who has been reading many of your posts here for the past month since my gyn ordered an ultrasound based on what she thought were large fibroids. Unfortunately the results revealed a large, complex and solid adnexal mass. The details from the report are as follows: "Bladder is well distended. Uterus measures 7.3 x 3.7 x 3.9 cm not including the 2.9 x 3.1 x 2.
