Common Questions and Answers about Hysterectomy nightmares

hysterectomy

Avatar f tn Just curious if anyone else in this forum after having hysterectomy was having nightmares every night right after the surgery? I seem to be having VERY vivid, strange, scary, and weird nightmares since having my surgery. It's not just once a night, it's more like two, three times a night. Sometimes I wake up crying and sometimes I wake up screaming and yelling. These are so bad that I am almost afraid to go to sleep at night now.
Avatar n tn when a woman has not had a menstrual period for 12 months. However, since you had a hysterectomy 20 years ago, this is not an option. Instead, a blood test known as a follicle stimulating hormone (or FSH) test may be used in conjunction with your symptoms to better assess whether you are transitioning into menopause. That said, there might be other reasons for hot flashes and night sweats and it's best to speak with your personal physician.
Avatar f tn I am still in pain, during intercourse, as well as everyday cramping, and lower back pain. I talked to doctor and she suggested an abdominal hysterectomy. Should I do this? Will it really help?? I have tried lupron, and had two laprascopies with removal of adhesions as well as countless chocolate cysts. Was told by fertility specialist after last lap that tubes are completly blocked as well as being tangled with my bowels.

Avatar f tn In the beginning I had nightmares in general. Throughout my pregnancy I dresmt of him coming out a cat or coming too early. Avatar f tn Hi all. I'm 19 weeks today & for the last week, I've had at least two nightmares every night. I dont know what is causing them. They're so graphic & I remember every detail. Some of them are horrifying. My partner always comforts me until I wake as apparently I start shouting/breathing heavily. It's just so tiring as I find it so difficult to get back to sleep afterwards & as I work shifts, it really doesn't help.
