Avatar f tn Sorry for the late response. Surgical positioning can cause back as well as leg pain and problems. I'm curious what type of hysterectomy you had - robotic, laparoscopic, abdominal, vaginal? Has the back pain improved?
Avatar n tn I only take it at night, but it relieves the leg pain for 24 hours about. They said my leg nerves and muscles are actually convulsing and this is an anti-convulsant drug. But since you are having surgery on Monday, I hope you can wait it out. I'm glad they moved up your surgery - it stinks waiting! You are in my thoughts and prayers for a good outcome!

Avatar m tn I had a partial Hysterectomy and two weeks after I've been having alot of pain on the leftside of my abdomen and my back. The pain doesn't go away even with narcotic medicines and the doctor says everything looks fine. Also when i get up and start walking the pain gets worse and worse. The only time it doesn't hurt that much is when I'm laying down. Also I feel on my left leg because the pain is so bad. Need answers please.

Avatar f tn I have had severe left sided pain near my ovary that radiates down my left leg. Sometimes pain is so severe that I cannot walk, get cold sweats, nausea. It lasts on avg 10 days and I have to continually take anti inflammatories, non narcotic pain meds and apply heat continually to function. I have had ablation, d&c, hysteroscope to alleviate symptoms. I do not bleed anymore( no uterine tissue left I suppose.
Avatar f tn Mid Jan of 2012 had a hysterectomy and I immediately following this I had shooting pain to my left leg, down to my ankle where there was a feeling of pressure. I understand that positions patients are placed in during surgery can sometimes result in this type of issue, so I was not too concerned. However, about 5 weeks after the surgery I began to experience burning feet. The shooting pain had just resolved when I began feeling this burning pain to my bilateral feet. Approx.
Avatar f tn Pain and cramps worsening, as well as radiating pain down left leg, that feels like leg is heating up from the inside. Transvaginal ultrasound showed a thick uterus during 3rd day of period and exam showed uterus has moved to left side of abdomen. I often suffer from low back pain and pressure in lower abdomen. I am forty years old, 5'5" weight is 245. Began menstruating at 10, have had three children. I also have ovarian cysts on left side. Aunt had hysterectomy at early age.
Avatar f tn I am really bloated-had hysterectomy 4 days ago. Total hysterectomy. Why are my ankels and legs swollen?
Avatar f tn About 4 years ago I had a hysterectomy because of fibroid tumors. My right leg and hip has been hurting since. I never connected it with my Hepatitis C. Most of the posts I see are from people in tratment. Is there anyone that has had a successful treatment and still has the leg pain?
Avatar f tn I have always had a pain that consums my hip joints - not an arthritic pain, but an unbearable pain that consumed my hip joints with no relief - mostly one week prior to menstral cycle in the past. I have also experienced pain in my right crook of my leg prior to surgery sometimes lasting just a few minutes, other times lasting days. Since the surgery the hip pain (again, not an achy joint kind of pain. I have that too, but only in my left hip joint) has been constant.

Avatar n tn Hi Joyneau, i also had an hysterectomy and I am currently experiencing lots of pain in my lower abdomen and I dnt know how to handle this pain.
Avatar f tn Your back and rib cage pain (and possibly leg pain) could be an indication of bone loss which can occur fairly rapidly after the ovaries are removed (or shut down after hysterectomy). But hysterectomy (uterus removal) even when ovaries are not removed destroys pelvic integrity since the ligaments that hold the uterus in place are the support structures for the torso.
