I recommend that you do not in any way try anything on your ear since the chances of it turning into a keloid is there.
Please do visit a dermatologist and explore the best options for you to get rid of the existing ones.
So I have one keloid on each knee from injuries. Not super crazy injuries. One is from my knee getting visciously scratched against a tree. It was a pretty deep cut and the other I don't remember what from. I've also had injuries to the caliber to that of the tree injury, but didn't form keloids. I also have had one ear pierced for 4 years, but didn't form a keloid and the other has been pierced for 6 months and hasn't formed a keloid either.

I'm a male with mixed skin type.I have a keloid on the front of my earlobe from a piercing that got infected about 7 years ago. When I took the piercing out it stopped growing. It's small and red, but really embarrassing. I'm thinking about going to the dermatologist to ask about cyrotherapy or steroid injections. When I first got my keloid and asked my doctor about getting it removed he said there's nothing he could do. But I can't live with it anymore.

am a dark skin person, i have keloid scar on my face by the side-burn, i don't know if applying triamcinolone injection to the affected area is advisable. thank u!
Hypertrophic scars take the form of a red raised lump on the skin, but do not grow beyond the boundaries of the original wound, and they often improve in appearance after a few years. Keloid scars are a more serious form of scarring, because they can carry on growing indefinitely into a large, tumorous (although benign) growth.
A keloid is a firm to hard, irregularly shaped, thickened overgrowth with claw like projections. It may be asymptomatic or painful, tender and pruritic (itchy).
I am concerned because I’m wanting to get my nose pierced and I fear keloid formation if this is what it happens to be. Does this sound like keloid scarring or hypertrophic scarring? I have no family history of keloids and have never had one myself and I have quite a few normal scars. Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm 22 and I have Keloids all over my back and chest. I don't know what I ate or did, but they just seemed to form over night. A doctor removed one for testing and told me that though the keloids are benigned, he doesn't know exactly how to treat them. Even worse, another keloid grew in place of the removed one and is much harder and larger. As a result of the surgery, I've lost sensation in the area around the new growth.
Many people who get keloids from ear/nose piercings use tea tree oil to shrink them and eventually they fall off or fade away. I was wondering if tea tree oil can be used on keloid scars NOT growing outward from the skin, as in keloid scars on your shoulders and back. They are more flat and less ball-like compared to piercing keloids that can easily fall off. Would it shrink? Would it make it worse and grow?
I had a mole on the back of my neck and I had it removed some number of years ago. Sadly, it developed into a keloid. After failed steroid injections I decided to have it surgically excised, which also proved to no avail as the keloid grew back(no larger) to it's original form. The keloid is about an inch and a half long to about 3/4 inch wide.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated because it is an embarrassing thing to have obviously.

A Keloid- Potent steroid cremes, Silicone gel, intra- lesional steroids, Lasers all have a place in treatment. Do consult your doc.
I had a 6 cms keloid on the center of my chest for quite over three years. I went to a dermatologist and she injected the keloid with steroids for over 4 months but to no avail, so I stopped going to her. A week ago, small red pimples formed all over the surface surrounding the keloid, so I treated them with a tretinoin (0,5 g) paste, they seemed to get small, and suddenly they turned to big red rash.
my husband is suffering with keloid for the past 10 years.it gets infected often and puss and blood ooz out. it is very painful too. what is the treatment for it?
For the last two months, I've had a hard lump along the upper hairline that is about the size of a golf ball. Originally I thought nothing of it, thought it was just some fatty tissue or something as a result of scarring from c-section/tummy tuck, but those were both 8+ years ago.
Now it's becoming a little bothersome when pressing on it and possibly with intercourse.
m 18 and I had really bad acne from 15 on, which fortunately disappeared with the use of Accutane. Even after that, there left a keloid right in the middle of my chest and a tiny one on my shoulder. Recently, I had a mini growth directly under it, and I originally thought that the keloid was just growing. I went to my dermatologist and she told me it was a cyst and it was growing larger. She told me that if she removed it, it would be likely that it would scar and a keloid would form.
