hysterectomy

Avatar f tn Do obese women feel baby movement later even if it's their second or third pregnancy ? Which week can they feel definite kicks ? I'm obese n 17 weeks tomorrow .
Avatar n tn My doc told me when I was pregnant that often pregnant women have urine leaks, because the weight of the stomach area (uterus and baby in their case) presses on the bladder, and out comes urine without them feeling like they are peeing. Pee can be clear and odorless, especially if you drink a lot of water. Given that you are obese, possibly the same thing is happening to you.
Avatar f tn My bmi was 31 pre pregnancy I had horrible morning sickness... not sure what they called it lost 19 pounds because of it! I am a chubby girl but I got my baby bump and feel the baby (17 weeks feeling it since 13 weeks) also I should mention this is my 2nd. Anyways our bodies do what their supposed to even when were "obese". I have notice the us women that are over weight lose weight while pregnant.
Avatar f tn In addition, these fibroids usually develop in younger women and obese women. Then, women who exercise regularly and those who smoke have lower incidences. The good news is that fibroids do not have to be deadly but if you begin to notice changes associated with menopause that are not your typical symptoms, you need to see a doctor. Once found, they can be treated quickly and effectively.
1149921 tn?1297559913 To my understanding some of my friends on here have already informed me that this does not necessarily lead to hysterectomy. I have hear that some women experience what is refered to as an early change or menopause following this type of operation (hysterectomy). I know that many women experience menopause in different ways. I just need to know if it possible for a women to experience some minor symptoms in her mid to late 30's and what these symptoms consist of.
Avatar n tn Hello, I read/heard that for women that are obese with a large BMI, the birth control pill is ineffective. If this is true, should we talk to our doctor about having a lrger dose of birth control as the regular.low dose ones may not be good enough?

Avatar n tn I would definitely talk to the doctor about the side effects. I had an ooph. and hyst. via open abdominal surgery two weeks ago. They took everything, cervix & all. I am 46, and recovering quite nicely for a diabetic, but I have done a bit more research and wonder if taking the "whole kit" was truly necessary. In my case, I am also obese, and just having the surgery was risky due to those factors. I believe that's why we all voted for the full ooph. & hyst.

Avatar f tn I am obese but my baby so far has measured where he is supposed to so I don't think so it all depends on ur and the father's genetic make up some women who are obese have small babies and some have big babies same with women who are not obese
Avatar f tn I’ve had it in for a year and a half, I’m 5’5 and 330lbs. I read that in obese women it may be less effective over time so I was just wondering. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I had CT Scan & Transvag ultasound revealing a 8.5 x 6.5 dermoid cyst. I am obese (350 pounds). The doctor said it was a risky surgery because of my weight and the size of the mass. They recommended a hysterectomy, not just removal of the mass. I am 46 and do not intend to have more children. Has anyone had a similar experience? I'm concerned about the pain returning (it sent me to the ER two nights ago and that was when I had all the tests).
20879826 tn?1560494038 Rats, they require a specific BMI to get funding? Clinics will do IVF on obese women here (in states) although it is more difficult to conceive through fertility treatment (same with natural conception too, being optimal weight always makes it easier). Here's an article on it. https://www.medicaldaily.
443878 tn?1205103196 I am Diabetic and Obese. I am curious as to the actual real life frequency of obesity associated with Diabetes. I am anticipating speaking with anyone who shares my problem of obesity and the difficulties accompanying the never ending battle of weight loss. Do you find that every food you eat seems to adversly affect yous attempts to control your glucose level as well as your weight?
Avatar f tn I recently had unprotected sex and I read that the implant may not be effective in obese women. Does anyone know? Is my implant working still? I read that in obese women it may have to be taken out earlier than the normal 3yrs. Like I’ve said mine is about a year and a half old. I also recently had a very light period/spotting (I never get them on nexplanon) is that a sign it’s not working? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Avatar n tn There is heat in your body, could be many reasons. Most likely from a pill you are already taking. How obese are you? Just because tests come back within range doesn't mean you don't have thyroid problems. 95% of women would be fine if they were on thyroid medication. I take a small dose of thyroid medication for fibromyalgia and it helps me so much, decreases the pain. Do you have hair loss or thinning? If you don't take Vitamin D please start tomorrow.
Avatar f tn t figure out how to keep my shoulders and chest from breaking out. I may be dreaming this- but I think I remember hearing that obese women have more (excess?) hormones in their system becase fat cells produce estrogen? Don't quote me on it. With this- you may want to wait for a little while to see if you will need HRT or not. Some dr.s want you on it right away and some will let you level out and see what happens.
Avatar n tn He passed away 4 weeks later, 6 weeks later, my daddy passed away, mother had to go in nursing home, I went to see her every day, then she passed away this past February. I went to doctor and he did a scope, ultra sound, biopsy of uterus, pap smear. All was fine. I have had 3 biopsies on my uterus, all fine and 2 pap smears in the last year and half. I am on warafin for heart problems, a fib, congestive heart failure. I am obese. I am passing clots every 30 minutes to an hour.
Avatar f tn I have set a record in my ob/gyn's office as being the oldest person who still hasn't gone thru menopause, age 65...my hormones are out of balance, an ablation of the uterus didn't help, I bleed every day. I don't want to have a hysterectomy...anyone else share my aging dilemma?
Avatar f tn It is true images may be blurred in women who are obese, have smaller hearts, or large breasts. If you are obese or have large breasts, the extra tissue may muffle the radioactive energy of the tracer, making it appear that it is not being absorbed as well. This could cause a false positive result—the test indicates a problem but in reality there is none. There can be a false positive but modern nuclear stress tests include computer programs that correct for some of this blurring and muffling.
