i have had a hysterectomy, approx. 1 week ago. I had a vaginal hyst. that kinda went wrong, I hemmoraged thru my stitches and had to b rushed back to surgery. Now i am home and dont feel any better still alot of pain, bloody discharge, very lightheaded when iu stand up, nausea, back pains, leg cramps, and other small things. I am aware this is a long heal8ng process but this just don't feel ok........ any sugg.?
I have had a persistent smelly rusty coloured discharge for the last 5 years post hysterectomy. All tests are negative and a CT scan shows nothing. I don’t know where to go with this, any ideas please?
Hysterectomy 8 years ago. No cervix. Non smelling brown discharge, sharp pelvic pain. No sexual partners. No pelvic exam after hysterectomy.
I had a partial hysterectomy four years ago. Ever since my hysterectomy I seem to get a watery discharge. Gynae puts me on antibiotics goes away for a while and comes back a few months later. The discharge is clear and there is no odour or pain on itch.
This is a subject to take up with your Gynecologist. As far as the discharge .... some discharge is not unusual but if from only one nipple and bloody it does need to be investigated. This could be an issue with the milk ducts including the possibility of a Papilloma which is a growth on the duct. These can be either benign or malignant. You are correct about needing to schedule a visit with the Dr. ... preferably a Breast Specialist if possible.
I had a full hysterectomy by daVinci method six weeks ago. I still have pain and a lot of discharge and odor. Does that seem normal? I am embarrassed because I don't want my husband to be bothered by it. Any suggestions?

by definition a hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus with or without the cervix, a seperate operation is called a bilater salphigo Ooperectomy which is the removal of the fallopian tubes and ovaries, they are sometimes removed during a hysterectomy but not technically a part of a hysterectomy. Hyster means uterus in medicial terms.
I had a repair for a rectocele and an entrocele and at the same time a hysterectomy. The hyst was done vaginally, the repairs were done laprascopically through 5 incisions. I am still having heavy discharge vaginally. I still have incontinence at times, and at others I am constipated. I am afraid the op has not been totally successful although the doctor says it will settle down. Has anyone had the same experience?????
In 2004, she got detected of Ovarian cyst again and got her hysterectomy done. now after almost 12yrs of her operation, she is having excessive fluid coming out of her vaniga and she is becoming very weak. Can you please suggest, what may be the cause and also the way of recovery?
Why do the vagina have a different smell after my hysterectomy. havnt had sex n about 1yr post hysterectomy. have seen other women asking the same question.. is there anything i can do to correct the problem.. i use mild soap, i douch. Thr is no discharge. I truly need a answer..

Generally, vaginal bleeding after hysterectomy is light. You may notice occasional spotting or a pink discharge. If bleeding after hysterectomy is as heavy as a menstrual period or lasts longer than six weeks then it needs evaluation. Pelvic cramps can be due to healing of stitches but if there is severe pain or any fever then any infection or adhesion formation should be ruled out.
Patients may still produce vaginal discharge in the absence of the cervix. In the case of excessive discharge I recommend you be evaluated for vaginitis. There have been instances when some of the cervix was not completely removed at the time of hysterectomy. Please consult your gynecologist with this concern if warranted.
12 weeks ago I had a hysterectomy. Spotting has been mild but recently had a bright red one day spotting. I made an appointment with my doctor and he did an exam and said I am 100% healed and did not see any signs of distress from the vaginal hysterectomy. He performed what I assume is a wet mount and said all was normal no bacteria seen.
5 weeks ago my chart stated he performed a UA with scope and my PH at that time was 5.5. And my urine culture came back no growth seen.
The odor is a normal part of discharge after a hysterectomy I was scared about that too. I did go for a 2 week check up and made them check my urine to ease my mind and it was the NORMAL discharge and odor. :)
My doctors have had their share of calls from me and MY HUBBY. LOL They are getting OUR MONEY so USE THEM. LOL

I am 30 years old and had a Vaginal Hysterectomy 2 months ago today (2 months after having my son). I am still having some pains in my stomach and pains during intercourse. I had a yeast infection a few months ago and now for the past 3 weeks I have had a yellowish discharge and some very light bleeding. No pain or itching. I had a total hysterectomy 10 years ago. Any ideas? Am I again in denial about his cheating? Is he still dumb enough to be having unprotected sex with hookers and bringing home diseases to me?
