Avatar n tn I am currently due with my second child in April. I sometimes feel as if my mental health takes over and affects my daughter as well. I have been working with different coping skills and learning the warning signs of how I feel right before I go into a cycle. I can honestly say therapy has helped a lot with this. The day I found out I was pregnant I quit taking all my meds (my choice, did not talk to my psychiatrist about it) and I have been doing awesome!
Avatar m tn It was full of abuse (mental, physical and emotional). As a child and a teenager no one would ever know because I was outgoing, happy (when I was with my friends and not my father), got decent grades and always behaved myself. I never got into trouble in school or elsewhere. I knew how and when to wear the mask. The only person who knew anything about what was going on, besides my mom and siblings, was my best friend.

1136436 tn?1261826161 You fight depression through therapy with a psychiatrist, and often medication is also needed. We need to learn why we are depressed, how to cope with some of our feelings, forgiving, and letting go. If your depression is due to a chemical imbalance and not an outside factor, you will need medication for the rest of your life. It can be tough, but know you're not alone and that you can live a happy, normal life on medication as millions of us are doing.
Avatar n tn Do not enable his behavior or you will have responsibility for what happens to him. And do not let him into your house even for a visit. If he is so drugged up and has mental problems, your safety is in jeopardy. Really sorry to sound so harsh. But you have a real problem on your hands. You are doing the right things. Hope that you will continue.

Avatar m tn My husband was hit in the head while at work and they thought nothing of it gave him some stitches and sent him back to work. Three months later we discovered he had developed petite maul seizures and will have them for the rest of his life. Please go get checked. You may be able to control it with medications or therapies. Best of luck to you.
Avatar n tn My mother has very similar symtoms but hers sound worse than yours. She cant quit dwelling on things and then will get angy and border on violence. Your way ahead of the game by admitting that you know its not normal to feel this way. I would look up symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder. It sounds worse than it is. Its basically the inability to control emotions. Always reading into things that aren't really there and then letting your mind run away with you.
804317 tn?1274207759 it cause me to have self-hatred and distrust of people in general. I always have weak emotional and mental stability; I get easily annoyed and irritated, and I also have a lot of anxiety problems.

Avatar f tn Perhaps this problem has nothing to do with mental health, if it is to do with your central nervous system. Do you feel you both have mental health problems, or is it pain?
Avatar n tn is it safe to take trazodone if i cant sleep and I am on a regular geodon 80mg and depakote 1000mg (devide by am/pm) also with cogentin?
Avatar f tn No with meds and treatment and once doctor gives you a clean bill of health i see no reason one can't issues there dream. See people on a whole just have a wrong perception or should i say place 'stigma' where mental health is involved and to know as i do its just a illness that can be treated just as a disease. But it depends on you if your will to fight this and press forward with your dream if so as becoming a cop. keep strong...
