Pheochromocytoma, cancers, carcinoid syndromes, tuberculosis and other infections too can cause increased sweating. It can also be due to low blood pressure. Get your thyroid and adrenal gland function tested. Do not be over anxious about this as this will increase sweating. Easier said than done, but you have to try meditation and yoga to calm your self. Avoid too much of tea, coffee, smoking and spicy food. Take up yoga, deep breathing exercise, and walking.
One doctor says that the benefits I get from running, ( weight control, low blood pressure and colesteral) are just as important. Anyway thankyou for your thoughts and I hope to keep hearing from you.
I was wondering if anyone who has had been put into surgical menopause has also been granted with low blood pressure. Too low of blood pressure to be exact. With a million and one symptoms of weakness, fatigue, nervousness/jitterness, migraines, blurry vision, lightheadedness, dizziness, more fatigue after exertion, hot/cold flushes, etc. My blood pressure has generally been low but has gotten really low that they put me on Florinef and I am trying to sort out WHY WHY WHY.
My cardiologist & EP prescribed Midodrine and different BB's trying to regulate my blood pressure & heart rate. Also staying hydrated with fluids, and raising my bp with increased sodium intake (which I questioned but it's normal with ANS patients) compression hose to stop blood pooling in the legs/feet and help circulation.
I had a complete hysterectomy 10 years ago for endometriosis and I have been on estrogen since that time. At first I was on a combination estrogen/testosterone but after I had major hair loss I started with just pure estrogen. I take Estradial .5mg. My concern is the length of time I have been on this drug and it's effects on my body. I tried to stop 2 yrs ago, but had major problems with hot flashes, depression, lack of sleep & weight gain. So the dr. put me back on at this low dose.
They make me feel like I have to sit/lie down or I would pass out, make it difficult to breathe, and many times, my chest feels strange (like when you've overused a muscle and it gets that spongy ticklish feeling). My blood pressure is also becoming very resistant to being brought down. It is typically 180-200+ systolic. The diastolic is typically between 0 and 40. (The "0" has been verified by medical professionals.
low blood pressure 86/60 (it usually runs 100/70). When the blood pressure gets too low, I feel the blood running through the veins in my legs, and abdomen, especially the neck/head. I've been tested for diabetes-only abnormality is very mild insulin resistance, for which I take Metformin (500 mg. w/ breakfast; 250mg. with lunch). Blood sugar tests have been in the low to mid 90's, with the exception of one that reached 101. I was tested for Lyme, Sjogren's, B12 deficiency, CBC's - all normal.
Two days ago I was taken to ER with uncontrollable vomiting and dizziness and super elevated pulse and super low blood pressure. They gave me nausea meds and I was fine for two days. Now the nausea is back with a pulse of 150 and it hurts my chest to breathe. what gives?
As to the high blood pressure, again, you could be swinging toward hyperthyroid. Do you check your blood pressure between doctor visits? If so, is it high "every" time you check it? I have a blood pressure machine at home, and most of the time, my bp is okay, but invariably, when I go to the doctor it's high -- "white coat syndrome".
i always forget to ask my pcp, i'm dealing sith other issues like pain control for migraines, fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease cervical to lumbar, bulging discs, and cronic low blood pressure.
I am now home and apart from peritoneal tenderness, wind pain and tiredness I was surprised by v low blood pressure symptoms eg feeling faint a lot and v hot flushes most of the time. I have kept my ovaries - hence the hot flush surprise, especially since being a 'cold fish' my whole life. Any explanation or assistance with post op guidance would be v appreciated. (Especially with the hot flushes and perineal tenderness) ... and do I need hormone patches if I kept my ovaries?
Hysterectomy for benign, non cancerous, indications is one of the commonest surgical procedures in women, but the association between the procedure and the increase risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD), heart attack and stroke is not fully understood. Hysterectomy has traditionally been considered the method of choice for treating a variety of benign, non-cancerous, gynecological disorders due to the low surgical complication rate and definite cure of these diseases.
I have tried Evening Primrose Oil with high lignan content but no effect. What else can I do, and do you recommend Effexor again as a long-term option? My blood pressure is on the low side of normal so the bp drug that my Dr's say also helps night sweats is not an option.

First it was to high, and now it seems to be to low. I have had lots of blood tests, MRI, thyroid scan, blood pressure is fine and am going to go for an MRA this Friday. I would really like to know what else to do or if anyone else had ever had this to happen to them. 2 neurologist claim that nothing is wrong. One actually laughed at me. Which I didn't appreciate at all. When I stand up after sitting only for a short time you would think I was pushing 80 years old.
Hi I'm 36 and had a total Hyst 10 weeks ago I had all the symptoms you mention plus more I would demand the CA125 and C Reactive Blood test I also had many Ultra sounds also Vaginal Ultra sound and they saw nothing sometimes you just have to be operated on . Also a second opionion never hurts.
I pulled every muscle it felt like, since then i had worse rectal pain and pressure i have to go and cant,if i do its blood ,and i get anxiety attacks before i eat cuz i dread the pain,so i basically been living on slim fast, boost, jello, juice and water cuz im afraid to eat. This is driving me nuts and causing deep depression,is there any end to this?!?
If it is an outpatient procedure, and I am sent home a few hours after procedure... I could take pain meds go to sleep and bleed to death etc due to very low iron. So essentially I would have to insist that it is done as an inpatient procedure so my blood loss could be monitored. I live an hour from nearest ER/hospital. I know that my period completely wipes me out and I cannot imagine how I would handle the "possible bleeding for up to 6 weeks." I would be dead.
Well I be damn, I'm not the only hysterectomy-notwannabe out there. I'm 38 and I had a hysterectomy in Oct.07 , I still have both ovaries, but I have gained about 15 lbs since the surgery, there has to be something out there for us. I thought you would lose weight with the damn surgery, what is going on?
I told him I can easily live with the symptoms, as long as the bleeding doesn't get heavy again as it was before the hysterectomy. (my blood count got quite low.) He used the silver nitrate yesterday-- today is RED blood- light, though, and "feels like everything could drop out the bottom!
I had a hysteroctomy on the 19th July 2010, I have just swapped one problem for another, i was in hosptital for 12 days after the operation, as my Bowel stopped working completley, Glad to be home after that, then on friday the 13th, just thought i was having a bad day but low and behold viloentley sick in the early hours and excrutiating lower abdominal pain, re addmitted, to be told i had a bowel adheision.
I have had migraines my whole life and normally can control them with mild pills but i've had for the last 3 years sinus pressure with migarines there and at the eyes, nose and forehead area, they have always been in the back of my head. I also have Nausea, Vomiting, dizzyness, light headed and pain attacks. I've had Ct scan, MRI, Thyroid test, EMT doc, Hormones checked, lots of blood tests.
I had a hysterectomy almost 2 and a half years ago. I still have both my ovaries. Today I noticed blood when I used the rest room. I have been feeling nauseous, but I haven't vomitted, but I get the feeling all the time. I have been also having pain when I urinate and I have been going alot. Could this be stress or something more serious? I haven't made a doctor's appointment yet, but I will soon. I am scared it may be more serious than I think. Any Advice?
I've decreased the Darvocet to 3 per day. I take a beta-blocker blood pressure med in the morning, and now I think that it may be part of the problem, since I haven't been very active due to being depressed. I increased Lexapro from 20mg to 30mg and am starting to feel better but feel worse when I take the blood pressure med. I realized that this morning. The beta-blocker also helps with migraines which have been tormenting me for decades.
Read a reply on the PET scan thread that said a CT scan does not pick up everything.... sugar brings out somethings on a PET scan..... so, a "clean" CT scan might not mean really clear? But, what if white and red blood cell count was "perfect" - and CA 125 was normal (13) Does that help the case for clear? Thank you for any input!
My blood pressure was spiking where I normally had low blood pressure in the past. My catecholamines and their inactive metabolites, metanephrines and normetanephrines were having a high number here or there. I had a standing pulse after rising from sleep (while iron deficient) of 162 I recall (now without iron deficiency my most dramatic numbers with rising from sleep are reportedly S.V.T. versus sinus tachycardia).
HI, I had the Nova Sure Ablation 2 years ago and it was a nightmare and now I need to have a hysterectomy anyway! The pain of the procedure was unbearable and afterward was just as bad maybe worse! I had terrible cramping, fever, muscle aches and spasms and the bleeding never got better with periods and this year I started having periods every 14 days!
old post-menopausal (5+ yrs.) woman having feelings of pressure on my bladder and the need to urinate which never goes away and becomes more acute after urinating. There is no pain or itching. This began suddenly about 10 days ago after week at beach. I was in water, sitting in wet bathing suit and in heat. Have had urinalysis, urine culture, pelvic ultrasound of ovaries and bladder - all normal. No blood, no sugar, no protein, etc.
