hysterectomy

Avatar f tn How long should a severe kidney infection last? I have had it for 5 weeks now and still having a hard time recovering. Still sometimes have chills and fever, night sweats and very fatigued. I have taken omnicef and taken all of it.
18070169 tn?1463175914 I was checked for bladder infection, kidney infection, kidney stones and gallbladder stones - nothing. So, I am wondering if it is caused by my partial hysterectomy. My hormone balances are good (they left my ovaries) and so I don't know if my body is just a little wacked out right now.
1670196 tn?1306841245 it was an abdominal hysterectomy. I've had my urine tested, I don't have a bladder or kidney infection and no bladder or kidney stones. I have pain and the fever won't quit. It got up to 101.6 yesterday and I am on 800 mg motrin every 8 hours.
Avatar f tn did some test, urine came with bit of blood and infection. they send me home with pain killers and antibiotics. 2 weeks later same pain , another antibiotics for 7 days. today I'm having same pain but stronger. I don't know what to do , hurts a lot and nauseas are killing me.
2042830 tn?1333865567 Could your kidney pain be from a kidney stone? The ER doc put you on antibiotics? So maybe it is an infection and may take time to clear up with the help of antibiotics? Also, know that stress can really aggravate endo symptoms and make it flare up. I got a new job last year that was very stressful and my endo pains went shooting up. You're stress may also affect your monthly cycle making your period late or early... but endometriosis also does that on its own too.
222282 tn?1210164939 It also can work as a gentle dilator since it moves slightly in an up-and-down motion, associated with breathing, as the kidney unit moves. The use of the stent is thought to minimize the rate of obstruction of a ureteral stricture in the injured area. Alternatively, a ureterotomy may be made along the length of the injured or strictured section of ureter before placement of a stent.
Avatar n tn It could be a kidney infection. Please google kidney infection or even bladder infection and see if the description matches it. Something about it being on the right side rings a bell for me about kidney infections sometimes being confused with appendicitis because of that.
Avatar f tn This could be caused by a few different things. It could be a UTI, a kidney infection, or a kidney stone. In males, it could be due to prostate problems.
Avatar n tn I thank you for your response, I have been feeling so lousy the past few months and did not want another potential issue w/bladder infection etc. So my plan, heal from hernia and hysterectomy, and if bladder still is a problem, get it done another time, depending on whether the kidney shows signs of changing.......when it rains it pours but all I can do is hang on to my umbrella!!! Thank you and I hope all is "well" with you.
Avatar n tn The only reason I need to go ahead and do something is the fibroids are pushing up against my kidney and causing that to inflame and has caused pain in my lower stomach and my side/back. Is a hysterectomy the only option?
684665 tn?1282168334 I went to Urgent care and they said I was very dehydrated and had a serious kidney infection. They gave me 3 bags of IV fluids and an antibiotic shot but were worried about sending me home. I did go home and that night I still felt as if I were going to die, the Doctor called a couple of days later and told me it was negative for cancer but it came back positive for a kidney infection which I told him I was aware of and he said I had a serious autoimmune disease.
Avatar f tn The uterus swells and than lays on the ureter and blocks it. Than urine can not come out of the kidney and kidney damage can set in very quickly. Hydronephrosis (kidney fills with fluid) is the name and it is a very painful condition. You can not have a blocked ureter and at this point believe me it would be much more painful without the stent never mind the destruction of the kidney. There may be swelling somewhere else, but I am assuming the uterus is the problem.

714049 tn?1232641094 I'm guessing a kidney infection. It's very common with kidney stones. Did they test your urine already? Might wanted to have it checked again.
Avatar n tn I had two high risk preg within two years (my boys we delivered by C-section in Aug 06 and Aug 07). I had a abdominal hysterectomy July 08 but was able to keep my ovaries. I woke up last night in A LOT of pain. I went to my family doctor today thinking it might be a kidney stone or kidney infection. I did not have blood in my urine so he ordered a CT. The CT showed a complex cyst in my left ovary. I have an appointment with my GYN doctor tomorrow. What is next?

Avatar f tn I had a complete hysterectomy 14 years ago and now I look like having period. I had tests A to Z done and all cane out fine. I do not have any sores or dryness. Had a injury to kidney last September, said tube to bladder damaged. They said possible cause. Could that be the cause? I don't bleed daily but I notice when I do activity such as lifting or bending I start to bleed. I feel tired and dizzy.

This is my second bout since my partial hysterectomy on 10-07-08. I was treated for a UTI even though my urine sample was negative.

Avatar f tn 9 year ago I had a hysterectomy. Unfortunately during surgery the doctor knocked a hole in my bladder. My ureter swelled and kinked. Two days later I had stint put in my ureter. The stint stayed in for nine weeks. I continued to see the urologist for a year and did well. Now I am beginning to have a lot of pain in the kidney and area of the ureter. I have to urinate often, otherwise "'m in great pain. Has anyone experienced this? I'm in the process of scheduling a cat scan.
Avatar n tn To make my story worse is that my right kidney is scarred from all the previous infections and is failing. If I have no infection why do I have persistent left kidney pain?

Avatar n tn In July last year I had a vaginal hysterectomy and anterior and posterior prolapse repair. Since then I have suffered urianry incontinence and 8 water infections. I am due to have TVT surgery next week but 2 wks ago I suffered severe abdominal and low back pain along with vomitting and fever. I was admitted to hospital and tested for kidney infections, diverticulitis with ultrasound scans and x-rays and then after a CT scan told I had infected ovaries and tubes.
