Avatar f tn i think i have a yeast infection is my low blood pressure because of that and what can i do to cure this infection?
Avatar n tn I'm a 32-year-old female. I've been sick with strep, mono, yeast infections, bladder infections, more strep and more yeast infections for the past 8 months. I've been tired and just feel bad over-all. My vision has changed, my toe has fungus and I seem to have all of the symptoms of diabetes. I was tested for hypoglycemia about three years ago and it was 117. I saw my doctor last week for a follow up strep appointment and mentioned diabetes to him.
Avatar f tn Does anyone have any information on the possible correlation between alcoholism and hypoglycemia/diabetes? I've been doing research online, and came across an article that stated there is something about low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia) that triggers something in your brain that causes you to crave alcohol. I've always worried about developing diabetes from excessive drinking. Then I remembered that my sister is hypoglycemic.
Avatar n tn I have a facial yeast infection that a dermatologist has been treating with oral ketaconazole and a facial lotion for over a year, it's not getting better. He said there's a better medicine but I'm allergic to penicillin and cannot take it..any suggestions I can do at home to rid my skin of this?? I am so tired of being red and itchy...please can you help? I have severe hypoglycemia, could this be a contributing factor?
Avatar f tn Need to rant lol I'm so frustrated! In the beginning of my pregnancy, I was diagnosed with bv, and was treated for it...and ever since I got treated I've gotten yeast infections every few weeks...today I was diagnosed with chronic yeast and put on a new med to help it...if that doesnt work, she's going to put me on diflucan for a couple weeks...its been so rough! This is my 4th one in 20 weeks and I'm so sick of them...
335728 tn?1331414412 embarrasing as it is, I now have a yeast infection to go along with all the other troubles! As I said, I guess it was inevitable with the steroids and the antibiotics for the sinus and bronchial infections...but WHY ME AND WHY NOW???!!! Arrrrrgh!!!! I have gotten the glucose monitor and will be checking my blood again shortly and I will let you know the results. I then have to go to the drugstore AGAIN (why don't they just move into my basement I often wonder?
Avatar n tn http://www.survivediabetes.com/hypt2.htm and http://www.webnat.com/articles/Hypoglycemia.asp For me, that was crucial information, since everything matches perfectly. I overuse refined sugar. I made a couple of days with no sugar and I felt generally better, except worse stomach pressure. It was so hard to resist that I had to lay on the bed a lot. So here are my question, guys: 1) Is that possible that my reaction for stress is low sugar? 2) Should I make glucose tolerance test?
Avatar m tn The only possibility is a yeast issue which as I understand yeast give off mycotoxins which can effect the brain. I went on Diflucan and it did seem to help but not completely. From what I have read yeast is very difficult to get back under control. (I had 10 doses on antibiotics 3 years running for throat infections). I am going to try Diflucan again. Have you had any success in getting rid of the fuzziness?
Avatar n tn I HAVE A QUESTION IN REGUARD TO HYPOGLYCEMIA I WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE HYPOGLYCEMIA WHEN I WAS 7 YEAR OLD. MY MOTHER TOLD ME I ALWAYS HAD THE SHAKES WHEN I WAS A BABY. IN THE PAST SIX MONTHS I HAVE HAD RE OCCURING BOUTS OF HYPOGLYCEMIA AND AFTER EVERY MEAL FEEL EXCESSIVLY TIERD. I HAVE SYMPTOMS AFTER HAVING COFFEE IN THE MORNING. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT I GET A RESTLESS LEG WHEN I LAY DOWN TO GO TO BED AND FEEL VERY TIERD BUT UNABLE TO GO TO SLEEP. ALWAYS THIRSTY AND FREQUENTLY URINATE.
Avatar f tn There are actually a few other health issues that can cause the hypoglycemia to present itself in a dramatic way as yours is. One is weak adrenal glands, if they are over-worked due to stress, improper diet, they don't function as well as they should. I would take a good, high potency B vitamin complex, the B vitamins are stress vitamins, and the Pantothenic acid B5, is an adrenal strengthener.
Avatar f tn Is anyone else having hypoglycemia (which is low blood sugar abt an hr or 2 after meals)? I'm 26wks and been having it for around a week now.How do u usually deal with it when it strikes?
Avatar n tn Hi - I'm new here. I have pre-diabetes (about 2 years now) and have autoimmune degenerative neuropathy (CIDP for 26 years) unrelated to diabetes. I am not overweight, and am 32 years of age. My question is: does inflammation in the nervous system cause alterations in glucose metabolism? I'm currently having multiple daily bouts of hypoglycemia - my doctors can't/won't answer my question. I'm taking IVIG, Imuran and Ultram - no steroids or antidiabetics.
Avatar n tn 71 is normal but again I felt horrible, weak, shaky, anxiety, etc. Could this be something other than Hypoglycemia? Before I had lunch I ran 2.5 miles on the treatmill and felt fine so this is beginning to puzzle me.
Avatar n tn (I think he was embarassed to call and say I was having leg cramps). I told him this was something more than just leg cramps. The hypoglycemia episode followed by SEVERE leg cramps and then nausea concerns me. I have hypoglycemia episodes once or twice a week but do try and control the with diet and excercise. Sometimes I really do not know why they come, yesterday was one of those instances. I have NEVER had any sort of cramps or nausea following an episode. Is this normal? Common?
2088051 tn?1334542007 So I Was Diagnosed With Hypoglycemia When I Was 15.. I'm 18 Now. It Seems Like It's Gotten Worse As I've Gotten Older. I'll Eat.. Then Not Even An Hour Later, I'll Start Shaking. This Stuff Is Horrible. I Just Need To Know If It's Because I'm Not Eating Enough Or It's Because Of The Food I Eat. Help!
Avatar f tn I have a follow up appointment with my doctor tomorrow question is is this something that I would have to take medication for regularly while pregnant. I already feel I'm taking too much medication now antibiotics for tooth infection plus tylenol #3 something for nausea prenatal vitamins and now this hypoglycemia. through all this I'm just praying that my baby is healthy.
Avatar f tn I would see your doctor about this very soon, as folks with hypoglycemia may develop diabetes later on. You may have pre-diabetes, and need to go on a diabetic diet. Meanwhile, make sure you have both protein and carbohydrates with all meals, and with all snacks, which you seem to be doing. You also might need to get a dietary consult and/or see an endocrinologist, for both are specially trained in working with people with blood sugar problems.
Avatar n tn I HAVE HAD HYPOGLYCEMIA FOR OVER 7 YEARS. CAN I TURN INTO A DIABETES. I HAVE BEEN GETTING SYSTMON OF DIABETES BUT MY GLUCOSA TEST COMES OUT LOW OF 62 FASTING IN THE MORNING .MY HANDS AND FEET FALL ASLEEP AT NIGHT. I HAVE TROUBLE WALKING MY LEGS HURT ESPECIAL IF I SIT FOR A WHILE.
Avatar f tn I was also prescribed Lexapro, Lamictal, and Welbutrin for dystymia and anxiety. I recently taperd off the Lexapro. I now have all the symptoms of hypoglycemia: tingling in lips (its constant, no break) and dizziness at just the slightest turn of the head, heart rate that is averaging 100 beats per minute (this has been constant not in little bursts for about three days now), and tightness in the chest/lung area, slight muscular type pain during deep breathing (also for about 5 days now).
885280 tn?1289562555 Hypoglycemia can lead to diabetes if not watched. I was told by my doctor that we are going to have to watch me for diabetes as I am hypoglycemic. Because there is a history of diabetes in my family.
