Hypoglycemia or something else

Common Questions and Answers about Hypoglycemia or something else

hypoglycemia

Avatar m tn So now I have read that something similar happens when your blood sugar is low or have diabetes. So now I am worried I have diabetes or something serious other than panic attacks. Does this happen with panic attacks too? Does anyone else have this? Thx for reading.
Avatar n tn Could this increased hunger be because my stomach lining is actually healing nicely (since my body has seriously been deprived of food for the last 11 months)? Or do you think something else is going on? I've been told I have slow digestion. I sometimes wake up with a very dull headache. I feel a bit of brain fog, and I'm lacking the energy/drive I used to have... almost like fatigue but not quite. I only have 1 BM a day. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Avatar f tn Yes, they are equal in both arms & lets. No, the Neurologist didn't say anything about following up again. And yes all he did was a basic Neurological exam (like refexes & such), nothing more than that. I just don't know where else to go to get a diagnosis or even to rule things out. Thanks for asking.
Avatar n tn Yes, hypoglycemia can be an early warning sign of diabetes, or you might have something else going on. Talk to your doctor. Tell him what you are experiencing. Then make sure you get an A1C test, not just a fasting blood sugar test. The A1C tests all your glucose for the last couple months, not just one moment.
Avatar n tn My question is this, Is his behavior depression related or is there something from the diabetes that causes him to lose control, be irrational and freak out all over me and my kids?
Avatar f tn The only thing diabetes-related that accounts for that is if you have been very high for awhile then you feel low at normal blood sugars until you get used to them. So my guess is something else is causing these symptoms. If you are experiencing tightness in the chest I would be concerned about this and recommend an emergency clinic or something just to make sure it isn't heart related.
Avatar n tn Dear Merrymom, I am the mom of a 17 year old who was diagnosed at the age of 21 months. I am not a medical professional, so any information obtained should be verified with your daughter's healthcare team. Looking back on my daughter's diagnosis, I now wish that I had asserted myself more. She also had the same tests performed that your daughter has had done.
Avatar m tn i was tested for diabetes, and my results were 76 1st hr 81 then 43 3rd hr, they say i have hypoglycemia ? i didnt feel any symptoms when i left.......
6918915 tn?1395932871 I am almost 18 weeks. I should try fruit. I was keeping these granola bars in my car but I used them all and never replaced them. It's like my hunger is so desperate if I ate one cookie and waited like ten minutes it would probably help but I feel like I can't wait like I need more and I need it NOW. So scary. I cant drive when it happens or barely walk and im shaking like a leaf and feel like im 1000 degrees.
1055725 tn?1265869375 m just going to speak to the symptoms you are experiencing and the possibility of hypoglycemia or diabetes. Hypoglycemia is one of the symptoms of diabetes and just means low blood sugar. Some people however, have a diagnosis of just hypoglycemia, without the diabetes. That is very different. Your symptoms might relate to either one, or they might not. Some other symptoms of diabetes are increased hunger and thirst. Some people however are diabetic without experiencing any symptoms at all.
Avatar f tn A while back, last summer, I had been on a road trip from minnesota back to missouri, I hardly ate anything but a little bit of puppy chow and some cheese curds, that night while trying to unpack before eating I got really dizzy and shaky, I realize at this point it was most likely from low blood sugar due to not eating, but not every time I go for a few hours without eating when I start to feel hungry I get really shaky and anxious, do you think this is hypoglycemia developing or just associati
Avatar f tn I have a follow up appointment with my doctor tomorrow question is is this something that I would have to take medication for regularly while pregnant. I already feel I'm taking too much medication now antibiotics for tooth infection plus tylenol #3 something for nausea prenatal vitamins and now this hypoglycemia. through all this I'm just praying that my baby is healthy.
Avatar n tn My aunt is hypoglycemic she always carries with her little ham sandwiches, peanut butter sandwiches. She watches her sugar intake, and seems to be doing well. It might help to see a nutritionist to get some info and help.
Avatar m tn If you are young and with no serious problem, then this could either be due to low blood sugar or hypoglycemia—if you had not eaten for long or it could be due to taking too much coffee. Acidity could be the other cause. Also if you had not slept in the last 24 hours, then this could even be due to sleep fatigue.
Avatar f tn Is anyone else having hypoglycemia (which is low blood sugar abt an hr or 2 after meals)? I'm 26wks and been having it for around a week now.How do u usually deal with it when it strikes?
Avatar f tn If I eat dinner too late, reactive hypoglycemia happens. It’s a horrible feeling! So a little juice or sugar water stops the trembling/anxiety/sweating/fainting/weak feeling, and I try to eat something fatty like butter and honey mixed real good in hot water and maybe some protein and that stops the episode. However, my ‘Dr’ said I have anxiety and tried putting me on meds.
Avatar n tn (I think he was embarassed to call and say I was having leg cramps). I told him this was something more than just leg cramps. The hypoglycemia episode followed by SEVERE leg cramps and then nausea concerns me. I have hypoglycemia episodes once or twice a week but do try and control the with diet and excercise. Sometimes I really do not know why they come, yesterday was one of those instances. I have NEVER had any sort of cramps or nausea following an episode. Is this normal? Common?
