Common Questions and Answers about Hypoglycemia nausea sweating

hypoglycemia

Avatar n tn Nausea is a symptom that many people experience when glucose levels fall too low -- I have experienced this one when hypoglycemic on occasion, and many people who write in to us with hypoglycemia mention nausea. The previous posting seems to be indicating that your symptoms may also be of diabetes, but this is not really the case.
Avatar n tn In the past I have been told I have Reactive Hypoglycemia because I get nausea if I do not eat every 3 or 4 hours and I get headaches, sweating, dizziness, etc. that goes away if I eat. I recently moved and am having trouble finding a doctor because all of the doctors I have seen so far say it is normal for people to have nausea when they wake up. My fasting insulin results are 5 uIU/mL. My glucose numbers peak in 45 minutes at 120 mg/dL and then drop although they rarely go below 65 mg/dL.
Avatar n tn It is hard to determine what our symptoms may be but the only recommendation I have is that you discuss them with your doctor. Sweating can be a symptom of a low blood sugar but nausau can be a symptom of a high blood suger. I think since you are having mulitple symptoms it is something your doctor would be best to diagnos. The information you give is so limited it can be so many other issues you need to dicuss this with a medical professional.
Avatar n tn Do you have any of these symptoms...shaking, sweating, confusion, weakness?? If so, experiment with Orange juice or grape juice or whatever juice you prefer...drink 4 ounces and wait 10-15 minutes and check your count again...depending on which lab you have your blood work done, the normal range is either 70-110 or 80-120...if you are not having a hypoglycemic event, sweating, shaking etc. it's possible that your count is fine...
Avatar f tn it could be a hypoglycemic attack. Symptoms of hypoglycemia are anxiety, sweating, palpitations, nausea, and dizziness. Check your blood sugar levels. Regards.
Avatar f tn Right before Christmas I went to the mall and was so close to fainting that everything around me got quiet for a second and I was sweating all over, dizzy, feeling like I was gonna puke.. And it wasn't like I had low blood sugar because I had left a breakfast diner right beforehand. It's not always hypoglycemia like some people believe, I don't because I've been there. Seriously I know in my heart it wasn't a panic attack although some would blame that also.
Avatar n tn i Have been having lightheaded, nausea, stomach feels empty, somethimes i fill like im going to faint, lack of sleep whats symptoms are this

Avatar n tn Other causes include tuberculosis, bacterial infections, abscesses, osteomyelitis, hormone disorders like carcinoid syndrome and hypothyroidism, hypoglycemia (low blood glucose) and some neurologic conditions. Medications like aspirin, acetaminophen(Tylenol) ,niacin etc can sometimes cause night sweats.Try not taking Tylenol for some days and see if there is any relief from symptoms. Keeping the bedroom cool can help with night sweats.
Avatar n tn The symptoms you describe sound suspiciously like hypoglycemia, including the slight nausea when the episode is present. Moodiness can be a symptom of hypoglycemia, too, for some depression can set in just when glucose levels are low. Some doctors truly don't "BELIEVE" in hypoglycemia, and if I were in your shoes I would try another doctor until you find one who does treat for hypoglycemia.
Avatar n tn Today about 20 minutes after my lunch I started sweating, feeling weak, heart racing, etc. I checked my blood sugar and it was 71 after eating a chicken salad, salad. I checked it before eating and it was 77 so why would it go down after eating a salad and a few wheat crackers? 71 is normal but again I felt horrible, weak, shaky, anxiety, etc. Could this be something other than Hypoglycemia? Before I had lunch I ran 2.5 miles on the treatmill and felt fine so this is beginning to puzzle me.
Avatar n tn Endocrine gland related conditions like hyperthyroidism, acromegaly and glucose control disorders (diabetes and hypoglycemia both) all result in increased sweating. Pheochromocytoma, cancers, carcinoid syndromes, tuberculosis and other infections too can cause increased sweating. It can also be due to low blood pressure. Get your thyroid and adrenal gland function tested. Wear loose clothes. Carry an astringent and a deodorant. Do not be over anxious about this as this will increase sweating.
Avatar f tn The most common symptoms may include trembling, dyspnea (shortness of breath), heart palpitations, chest pain (or chest tightness), hot flashes, cold flashes, burning sensations (particularly in the facial or neck area), sweating, nausea, dizziness (or slight vertigo), light-headedness, hyperventilation, paresthesias (tingling sensations), sensations of choking or smothering. Avatar f tn I suddenly felt dizzy as if i was gonna pass out, palpitations, shaking, tunnel vision and sweating. I had eaten breakfast that morning 4 hours prior to the incident. I had also only had about 4 hours sleep the night before. I sat down had an apple and the feeling went away after about 15 mins. The problem is now is that i feel very anxious about the incident and keep thinking i have a serious heart problem.
Avatar n tn The hypoglycemia episode followed by SEVERE leg cramps and then nausea concerns me. I have hypoglycemia episodes once or twice a week but do try and control the with diet and excercise. Sometimes I really do not know why they come, yesterday was one of those instances. I have NEVER had any sort of cramps or nausea following an episode. Is this normal? Common? Something more serious with my blood glucose? Something that will effect my heart if it continues? Please help me find answers.
Avatar f tn Which is when the vagus is stimulated for some people it can cause a drop in blood pressure, causing fainting, Nausea, sweating, dizziness ect. Putting that together could the seizures be Stimulating the vagus nerve causing vasovagal syncope. But the week long recovery is a mystery to me. Avatar n tn The clinical features of this tumor are related to the effects of insulin-and thus primarily demonstrate symptoms related to hypoglycemia which are relieved by food intake. Other general symptoms include episodic sweating, tremor and rapid heart rate, as well as hunger, nausea, weight gain, and sometimes even central nervous system symptoms (including rarely, seizures)." Perhaps these websites can help you find more information on how to deal with this condition.
Avatar n tn Yes sweating at night is a sign of hypoglycemia. When my sugars dip really low at night I wake up and sometimes my sheets are literally wet from sweating. Your 3 hour reading is very low. 60 to 70 is usually the lower limit that I have read.
Avatar n tn I am dizzy and nausea after eating what is it, I have had my blood sugar tested several times at the clinic and all come back normal, a few years ago a doctor had me get MRI of brain done and it was fine but still no answers. I can go months with out a dizzy spell and all of a sudden have them all the time. Any comments or suggestions would be helpfull. Thanks in advance.
341655 tn?1240368839 I would definitely go see your doctor as he needs to evaluate your medication and what is causing you to have hypoglycemia. I suggest you call the office today and tell them what has been happening and I would expect they would want you to come in soon and may tell you to stop taking the medication right away.
1208118 tn?1265877425 The symptoms start with my whole body experianicing a cold sweat, but not actually sweating. Then I become very weak and light headed. Finally, My whole body starts to shake with a slight feeling of numbness. The episode reminds me a little like having gas at the dentist before passing out. I cannot function at all and it feels as though I'm fighting to remain conscious.
