hypoglycemia

Avatar n tn May I add though not to rule out anything until test are done. I personally have had episodes where I wake up early in the morning with a low and after getting sugar in me I go back to bed. Then when I wake up for work or school I have an excruciating headache that I can't get to go away for the rest of the day. Some days I wouldn't call it a migraine, but there are others that have landed me in bed the rest of the day.
Avatar n tn Other types of headaches like migraine, tension headache, headache due to hypoglycemia, due to lack of sleep may also appear after pregnancy. Taking food on time will help. Also, with time, adjustment to your situation will help you to recover. Please consult your doctor if headaches persist.

Avatar m tn My doctor says that the vertigo could be associated with sinus infection or/migraine as I do experience regular headache and have had aura with migraine. If anyone has any clue as to why I'm experiencing these symptom please message.
Avatar m tn Hi Jenn, What you describe seems like a tension headache, which is similar to, but not exactly migraine. Medications for migraine relieve this headache. Stress and anxiety are causative factors. Your recent delivery, stress of taking care of the baby may have been the triggers for this. Please do not take any medication without consulting a doctor in case you are breast feeding your baby, though Excedrin Migraine is relatively safe, upto 4 times a day.

Also, if you have migraine headaches, certain foods can trigger these. If you are taking niacin, some people get flushed and hot from that. Also, stress can bring on flushed hot face.
Avatar f tn One type of migraine headache, hemiplegic migraine, may sometimes present with numbness and tingling. Further evaluation may need to be done by a neurologist for proper management. Imaging studies may likewise help rule out organic causes. Take care and do keep us posted.
1602576 tn?1297686082 Sounds like a migraine to me, except it's very short. Does she have a headache during this time? There is also something children experience, an "abdominal migraine", but that also lasts longer than one minute. It just still sounds related. The snow, and blacking out and vomiting and then feeling tired all go with migraines. Do migraines run in your family?
492869 tn?1285018933 Thanks for all the suggestions. We can definitely add oxygen to the migraine/headache tracker, excess mucous to the asthma tracker and health issue to the mood tracker. Unfortunately we cannot currently add multiple readings to the temperature tracker but we'll keep that in mind for a future release. We'll have our doc take a look at all the medications you suggested and we'll let you know if we add them to the tracker.
Avatar n tn Hello, my daughter has been having headaches for years, and the doctors would always tell me that it is from stress, but lately I've noticed that she starts having a headache right after she eats or if she is hungry. I thought it was from carbohydrates, and started a diary to keep a track of the meals she's had the days when she had headaches. But it seems that her headache can come from nowhere, and in addition to that she feels like vomiting sometimes, but she never really does vomit.
Avatar f tn It is often advised that over-the-counter analgesics should be avoided since they are usually not very effective and can cause rebound headaches. So instead of treating a migraine headache with an over-the-counter analgesic, please talk to your doctor about prescription for a suitable migraine medication first. Antiemetics are another option. Antiemetics are normally prescribed to control nausea and vomiting.
737902 tn?1297823621 Please help, for this week I had the following symptoms: dizziness, headache, weakness, nausea momentary. I really don't know what could it be....
Avatar n tn There can be many causes of headache, hypertension, stress, lack of sleep, hypoglycemia, chronic headaches related to syndromes like migraine, cluster and tension, a space occupying lesion if headache is accompanied with seizure, nausea or weakness of limb, ruptured cerebral aneurysm not unruptured. Unruptured aneurysm usually remains asymptomatic and is an accidental discovery on an MRI or after rupture. Consult your neurologist if these possibilities could be ruled out in you. Take care.
Avatar n tn It's probably anxiety or stress or even migraine. Even I feel like that. Take plenty of rest and try to relax to elevate this horrible feelings.
Avatar m tn It is good though that you eye is fine and was cleared by your doctor. Migraine headache is a kind of primary headache and can respond well to both abortive and preventive medications as mentioned above. Migraine can occur even in younger age group and these medications can also work in this group. You need not worry in taking the medications prescribed by your doctor. Try also to identify the triggers to prevent attacks. There is a headache tracker in the forum that may help.
Avatar m tn Went to the ER but they didnt really offer much help, did some blood test and monitored my heart but said it looked fine. Since then I have had a constant mild headache, but its not a normal headache, its just in certain areas of my brain. It is hard to describe, sort of like a dull pressure with spikes of stabbing pain every now and then.
787406 tn?1339203183 I have already been diagnosed with undifferentiated connective tissue disease, raynauds and Livedo reticularis, hypoglycemia, mitral valve prolapse and Trigeminal neeuralgia. Most of my symptoms are intermittent except for the muscle pain and spasms. I am getting so frustrated withmy neuro as she is stumped and has given up. Has anyone had these symptoms and gotten a diagnosis.
Avatar m tn Another common cause of dizzy spells is migraine-associated dizziness. People can have migraine activity even WITHOUT headache. If she has a family history of migraine, it's highly likely that she is a migraineur too. Hormonal changes can bring on migraines, so maybe having the baby is related?? Anxiety CAN cause dizziness. And the other way around, too.
1757391 tn?1346127363 Benign intracranial hypertension also causes dizziness with headache and a spinal tap is confirmatory. It can be a migraine attack too. Other conditions to be strongly ruled out in your case could be Meniere’s disease of the ear, wax in the ear, infection of the middle or inner ear, and benign positional vertigo. Hence it is important to consult an ENT specialist and a neurologist too.
17339814 tn?1489798076 If you have no other SX and your pain is bilateral (both sides) than it sounds more like a nasty headache. There are Headache and Migraine Centers and/or Physicians that specialize in the treatment of Headaches and Migraines. If you are obtaining no pain relief or reasons from your current Medical Practitioner than it may be time to consult the specialists. I'd use your Search Engine to locate information on Migraines and Headaches. There is a lot of information available.
Avatar n tn Yes hello, I am currently experiencing a chronic headache, mild heart rhythms, a feeling of weakness and sometime dizziness. My Doctor informed me initially that it was stress related. I also get dizzy walking at times and feeling like my blood pressure is low(weakness). I had a heart monitor put on me and it came back clear. I have had several EKG tests as well that have come back good. Sometimes my heart races and I get like anxiety attacks.
Avatar f tn I had something similar happen to me. It was a certain kind of migraine. I didn't always have headaches when it happened, I would just feel like the room was spinning while I was standing still. For me, it usually happened around my period. Is it a constant feeling every time you're standing or is it only like that sometimes?
Avatar n tn If you use computer a lot or read a lot then the symptoms of headache, dizziness, neck pain, numbness etc could be due to compression of the spinal nerves in the cervical spine region. This can happen due to overuse of computers, work involving straining of neck, herniated disc, canal stenosis, bone disease, spondylosis, poor posture etc. A MRI of the cervical spine and nerve conduction studies may be required. Please consult a neurologist. Get your blood pressure checked.

Avatar m tn Take a combination of Excedrin Migraine and Excedrin Tension Headache. 4. If you have a prescription Migraine Medication take that. 6. Lay in complete darkness after taking whatever medication. Now I can tell you this doesn't always work but 9 times out of 10 something above will help. Good luck and I hope you feel better.
Avatar m tn You may want to start considering the fact you need to limit or stop your alcohol consumption. Alcohol can be a big migraine trigger, for me if I so much as drink 1/4 glass of wine I will get a migraine but for years I was fine with alcohol before that. Our bodies can change almost overnight, its possible that's what happened to you.
