hypoglycemia

Avatar m tn I have never known zinc to do anything like that. Zinc is a mineral that helps the skin and nerves get healthy. Check your diet - if you are eating too much sugar or carbs you might have frequent urination caused by hypoglycemia or pre-diabetes. Maybe you didn't pee often enough before and the zinc is healing your bladder... Are you drinking more water? You should in hot weather.
Avatar n tn and dizzy, nausea, sweaty feelings are common symptoms of hypoglycemia aspects of diabetes. The frequent urination and weight loss and others are common symptoms of hyperglycemia aspects of diabetes. Only a physician can determine, for sure, if you have diabetes, pre-diabetes, or something else altogether. If your current physician was only willing to test you for anemia (are you being treated for that?), then I recommend you choose another physician for a much more complete workup.
Avatar f tn I've been suffering since 2007 with nausea, vomiting, frequent urination, insomnia, severe chills, pain in the middle of the back, and funny taste in the mouth, especially after eating chocolate does anyone know what this is? I've been to several doctors that at first think I just have an infection. I also was ruled out for thyroid issues. I just had an adrenal stress gland test done and am awaiting the results.
Avatar n tn For the last month month and a half my son has had some of these symptoms I have been reading about- I realize during the summer months kids are busy and just don't want to eat regularly or sleep regularly so this is what I have blamed symptoms on but need a second option- My son is 10, 1 or 2 times a week it seems, will become tired and more "lazy" as I call it, he will have the weird smell of breath at times, he will not eat, saying he is hungry but nothing sounds good, within h

If so, check out hypercalcemia (high blood calcium)...
Avatar n tn I cannot go for more than about 90 minutes without feelings of ravenous hunger and symptoms of hypoglycemia. I have tested for hypoglycemia, but symptoms occur in the mid-60s, well before the standard blood glucose level identified as hypoglycemic. I have had my thyroid tested (normal) and two blood panels: standard metabolic (CO2 level slightly high at 34, otherwise normal) and standard blood test (normal). I have seen a counselor.
Avatar n tn tired all the time, brain feels foggy or slowed, trouble with word finding, no energy, impaired speech, headachy, frequent urination, feel like I want to avoid stimulation (such as lights, noise, crowds of people, malls, etc). These feelings can be temporarily abated by eating something (even though I don't feel hungry), but in general they will return minutes to hours after eating.

Avatar n tn Are there any bladder symptoms with it, like frequent urination? I have interstitial cystitis and this can cause bladder spasms with me. I was given dietary instructions and have received bladder instillations of Elmiron to treat it. Also, you have a larger artery with an abdominal aorta in the abdomen. Sometimes, I feel it beating really strong in my abdomen. Could it be that?
Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
Avatar f tn About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
Avatar f tn I didn't really experience frequent urination during my first trimester...but am having it in my second trimester..am 15 weeks 5 days..anyone else with the same issue.could this be normal?
Avatar n tn If it is really a change for you, it is best to see your doctor as there are a variety of health reasons that cause frequent urination. I found that I was having frequent urination at night and had to limit liquid intake after a certain hour and that certain things cause me to have to go more such as iced tea. ?? Have no idea why but that seems to come straight back out. talk to your doctor if you are having this symptom.
