Avatar m tn Brewer's yeast isn't a consistent source of B12. Nutritional yeast might be fortified with it, but brewer's yeast isn't. There are non-animal sources of B12, but how much of it actually gets into your system is in controversy. Spirulina, a fresh water algae, is very high in B12, but some don't believe it's well absorbed from it. Still, it's so high some has to get in.
Avatar n tn Clean up your diet. Get on the Phase I Diet by Doug Kaufman. Yeast thrive on carbos, and sugar. eliminate all sugars including fruits until this pest fungus is eliminated from your system. Veggies, salads meats ok, no sauce. Look for the diet on line. Kaufman is also on TV. "Know the cause." I hope this help!!
Avatar f tn Just don't touch it and make sure you drink enough water to keep your skin hidrated and... they say brewer's yeast is good for pms symptoms. . Never tried it but could be true..
5629636 tn?1371253040 my poodle has the same problem. after several medications from the vet. I did my own research and found a product (ZYMOX-OTIC HC 1.0% Enzymatic Solution) you can get it on Amazon. I also put him on a grain free diet. If you buy this solution get 2 bottles because you will have to apply it every day for 2 weeks. p.s. helpful hint-warm the solution up to your body temp. like in a pocket or some place next to your skin (bra) for about 1/2 hour, it helps stops all that ear shaking.
Avatar f tn I take a huge scoop of Lewis Labs Brewer's yeast plus a sublingual B-12 every morning. B.yeast has all of the natural B vit.except B12 plus the amino acids that our brains need. Billy Sahley from the Pain and Stress Center says our brain is made up of amino acids and we must replenish them to get over stress. Also I take a 500mg. Taurine, the calming amino acid, which is not in the yeast either.
Avatar f tn We have two dogs, a 3-year-old beagle-boxer mix and a 10-year-old rottweiler-chow-lab mix. Last summer they developed the same habit of chewing on themselves. The older one lost patches of hair on either flank, along the majority of his tail, and thinned hair in various spots on his legs. The younger one lost hair on his rump and around the base of his tail.
Avatar f tn Fenugreek and blessed thistle. Could ask your doctor about a prescription for domperidone. Beer helps too. Anything with brewer's yeast in it.
Avatar n tn Vit. B12 is found in Brewer's Yeast, clams, eggs, herring, kidney, liver, mackerel, milk and dairy products, seafoods, kelp, alfalfa, bladderwack, hops, soybeans and soy products. You can also get B12 Patches: http://www.b12patch.com/?gclid=CJTq7bCp0pUCFRJdxwod4HvL7Q http://www.nal.usda.
Avatar f tn Deet is bad for everyone but especially pregnant women, babies, and children. It's poison. Find a different way to keep the bugs away. There are all natural products out there that work very well (Green Valley Herbal has a product called Skeeter Skedaddle on their website, it uses essential oils instead of carcinogens). Adding brewer's yeast into your diet can reduce your attractiveness to mosquitoes as well.
Avatar f tn You can skip the beer, just use brewer's yeast in cookies. Ground flaxseed is also good. Fenugreek tablets are all natural and also help a lot.
Avatar n tn I've tried Brewer's Yeast mixed in with their food but the best thing - in my opinion - is Sentinel. It doesn't wash off; it kills not only fleas but their eggs and it prevents heartworm. Our dogs get it once/mth. It might go by a different name - I'm in Canada. Savas - if you read this, I could use a saddle on one of my cats.
Avatar n tn Hi, How are you? Are you suffering from optic neuritis? Any nerve for that matter if it is completely degenerated cannot be regenerated, but there are certain vitamins which can improve the function of nerves and nervous system. Nervous function and muscular coordination requires the presence of B vitamins along with the vitamin E in good quantities within the body, any resulting or existing deficiencies in these vitamins will ensure weaknesses to overcome the musculature.
Avatar f tn My lactation consultant told me a glass of good, yeasty brewery beer works & when I asked her if Brewer's yeast would do the same thing, she said it would.
1662361 tn?1302762372 I am 23, I know I am over weight, I diet and exercise but never loss weight. I have been test for diabetes since I was 12, and my levels have always been low. Avatar n tn I'm a 32-year-old female. I've been sick with strep, mono, yeast infections, bladder infections, more strep and more yeast infections for the past 8 months. I've been tired and just feel bad over-all. My vision has changed, my toe has fungus and I seem to have all of the symptoms of diabetes. I was tested for hypoglycemia about three years ago and it was 117. I saw my doctor last week for a follow up strep appointment and mentioned diabetes to him.
Avatar n tn I would suggest asking for help from a lactation consultant or peer bf counselor.I've successfully bf 3 kids, 2 of which were c-section deliveries. And even though I had done it before, it's always a good thing to hear from different women about tricks they've used. Also, ask about vitamins or supplements that can help increase supply. Brewer's yeast is one of them, & I believe milk thistle. Good luck, & I hope you're successful with bf.
Avatar f tn ve tried everything we can, including diet changes, but the episodes seemed to happen more. (I changed to whole wheat foods.) I have no clue what to do now. I'm developing symptoms now and who knows what the next one might be. A friend mentioned that it could even be something neurological but I've tried researching and I can't find anything. I just want to know what is going on with me.
268911 tn?1213744781 Being conscious of doing the belly breathing has helped me a lot. Try to do everything slower, eating, walking, etc. Nordic Naturals has a good salmon oil which tastes good, brewer's yeast; taurine and Natural Calm with Magnesium by Natural Vitality helps, by drinking several cups a day. Go to the site panicend.com. Some nice person gives great advice as to what to do to stave on the panic feelings which have all started by what you are thinking.
Avatar f tn Yes, herpes can cause nerve pain in the legs. "Herpes simplex virus type 2–associated neurological disease may result from primary infection or reactivation of latent HSV-2. Neurological disease after primary HSV-2 infection is seen most often in neonates. After the neonatal period, HSV-2 infection is principally, but not exclusively, acquired through sexual activity.
Avatar n tn Please try this. I also had the same thing since 1998 and the exact same symptoms. Stay on this for at least one month to see if it works. It helped me in a little over a week and now I feel peaceful at last. After doing a lot of research I came up with the following. Take two well-rounded tbls. of Brewer's Yeast in the morning when you get up plus a vitamin/mineral suppliment. Lewis Labs is the best tasting. Whenever you get the symptoms take more of the Brewer's Yeast.
Avatar f tn You could have an intestinal yeast overgrowth, or low iron level causing dizziness and headaches too. Examine your diet carefully. Are you getting enough protein? Have you ever had hypoglycemia? My daughter is also in college, and had the same symptoms. It was from low iron, occasional hypoglycemia and intestinal yeast overgrowth. I took her to a clinical nutritionist who ordered blood and urine tests, food allergy tests and nutrient tests.
