Avatar n tn t understand I why I was so upset. And the cycle continues. Can that be depression? Or is depression just a constant thing?

On a personal note, it is generally considered unsafe to simply stop one's medications, especially if that change was not planned for with your doctor. Hope you'll call your doc, get a referral to an endo -- and let us know what you find out.

335728 tn?1331414412 Well I saw the gp that is covering for my lying gp today and I took along all the data from the Glucose Meter and what I have been eating and Quix was right...I do have Hypoglycemia...my blood glucose went as low as 3.3 when I was feeling crappy so I guess that's it. Just what I need I figure, another ailment to make life more complicated! This dr. is sending me for CBCD, Ferritin, B12, Urinalysis, sodium, potassium, alk. phos., ALT, SPE, Mononeucleosis, EBM, E2, FSH and TSH.
Avatar n tn At about this level, all of the things you described MIGHT be explained by hypoglycemia. Sometimes when hypo, my stomach gets very upset, sometimes not. And muscle cramps can happen because of being low, too. Mood swings are another symptom... your suicidal thoughts could be an extreme reaction to the depression that can hit when hypoglycemic. As for any connection to the heat exhaustion episode, we can't tell you.
Avatar m tn We are talking about Hypocalcaemia ( unless he used the wrong word here which have something to do with calcium rather than sugar. Hypoglycemia is the medical term for a state produced by a lower than normal level of blood glucose.
Avatar n tn I am a 62 year old female, overweight, taking medication for hypertension, depression, osteoporosis and ETD. For the past several days, at approximately the same time, I get very shaky, weak and sweaty. After eating something sweet the feeling will disappear. I have had this sensation before but not often. Is this something that I need to be concerned about?
Avatar f tn I have been having extreme bouts of hypoglycemia, back to back, making the ms feel ten times worse, was just wondering is there a link between having me, and suffering from frequent episodes of low blood sugar, especially in the morning?
Avatar n tn The symptoms you describe sound suspiciously like hypoglycemia, including the slight nausea when the episode is present. Moodiness can be a symptom of hypoglycemia, too, for some depression can set in just when glucose levels are low. Some doctors truly don't "BELIEVE" in hypoglycemia, and if I were in your shoes I would try another doctor until you find one who does treat for hypoglycemia.
Avatar f tn Is anyone else having hypoglycemia (which is low blood sugar abt an hr or 2 after meals)? I'm 26wks and been having it for around a week now.How do u usually deal with it when it strikes?
Avatar n tn Hi - I'm new here. I have pre-diabetes (about 2 years now) and have autoimmune degenerative neuropathy (CIDP for 26 years) unrelated to diabetes. I am not overweight, and am 32 years of age. My question is: does inflammation in the nervous system cause alterations in glucose metabolism? I'm currently having multiple daily bouts of hypoglycemia - my doctors can't/won't answer my question. I'm taking IVIG, Imuran and Ultram - no steroids or antidiabetics.
Avatar n tn 71 is normal but again I felt horrible, weak, shaky, anxiety, etc. Could this be something other than Hypoglycemia? Before I had lunch I ran 2.5 miles on the treatmill and felt fine so this is beginning to puzzle me.
Avatar n tn (I think he was embarassed to call and say I was having leg cramps). I told him this was something more than just leg cramps. The hypoglycemia episode followed by SEVERE leg cramps and then nausea concerns me. I have hypoglycemia episodes once or twice a week but do try and control the with diet and excercise. Sometimes I really do not know why they come, yesterday was one of those instances. I have NEVER had any sort of cramps or nausea following an episode. Is this normal? Common?
2088051 tn?1334542007 So I Was Diagnosed With Hypoglycemia When I Was 15.. I'm 18 Now. It Seems Like It's Gotten Worse As I've Gotten Older. I'll Eat.. Then Not Even An Hour Later, I'll Start Shaking. This Stuff Is Horrible. I Just Need To Know If It's Because I'm Not Eating Enough Or It's Because Of The Food I Eat. Help!
Avatar f tn I have a follow up appointment with my doctor tomorrow question is is this something that I would have to take medication for regularly while pregnant. I already feel I'm taking too much medication now antibiotics for tooth infection plus tylenol #3 something for nausea prenatal vitamins and now this hypoglycemia. through all this I'm just praying that my baby is healthy.
Avatar f tn I would see your doctor about this very soon, as folks with hypoglycemia may develop diabetes later on. You may have pre-diabetes, and need to go on a diabetic diet. Meanwhile, make sure you have both protein and carbohydrates with all meals, and with all snacks, which you seem to be doing. You also might need to get a dietary consult and/or see an endocrinologist, for both are specially trained in working with people with blood sugar problems.
