Avatar f tn I've always ate alot more than most girls. but during the past few months or so if i don't eat every couple hours i get sick with hunger pains and feel like i'm going to throw up. if i don't have something with sugar i get weak and shaky like i'm going to pass out. i've asked around and alot of people say it's either thyroid problems or diabetes type 1. i'm just tired of being hungry all the time. what is it?
1773104 tn?1314155711 Certainly hypoglycemia can trigger anxiety and panic, but rarely would it be the sole cause behind it. It is common for someone new to anxiety to do serious soul searching to try and find a logical "reason" behind the new emergence of anxiety and panic. We turn into detectives and try to find a sensible reason why it showed up (most times seemingly "out of the blue").
Avatar n tn I have thyroid problems, and I did not take anything right away. I had many labs done over a space of two years. Don't worry about being slow about the decision unless the situation becomes dire. Small frequent meals do help--and avoiding fake sugars (many kinds) helps too. They trick your body into thinking more sugar is available than there actually is.
Avatar n tn I am a 41 year old female that has hypothyroidism and hypoglycemia and am trying to lose some weight, about 10 to 15 pounds. I take meds for my thyroid, watch what I eat and exercise 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hrs a day 5 times a week. I've tried following a low blood sugar diet and was able to lose about 4-5 lbs the first week, but for the next 5 weeks I lost nothing. This last week I went off the diet slightly and gained 2-3 lbs. back. Am I eating the wrong things?
Avatar n tn t believe that it is related and are upset with her for questioning them as well as they are trying to lower the med doses and stop the thyroid meds. The symptoms went away with the high thyroid doses. Is it possible for Hashimotos to cause these symptoms or affect the pancrease?
Avatar n tn What is the relation between hypoglycemia, the thyroid, and diabetes? i have been more and more experiencing shaky spells and feeling faint... then i will eat a ...piece of fruit, or something, and a warm calming sensation comes over my body and i feel find. my family history indicatets thyroid problems, but my last t test came back normal, do people with hypoglycemea get diabetes later in life?
Avatar m tn i was also checked for a uti and low blood sugar and my thyroid and those were all normal. I am currently taking a proton pump inhibitor and it seemed to help a little bit but i still feel horrible. if you have any other ideas of what it could be please let me know. Thank you!
Avatar f tn My husband is 40 year's old and has had hypothryoidism and hypoglycemia for several years. He takes one 200MCG tablet of levothroid every day. REcently, he started having severe chest pains. Last Sunday, they were so bad we took him to the ER where they performed all sorts of heart tests and determined it wasn't his heart.
Avatar f tn Does anyone get just awful stress/anxiety and hypoglycemia symptoms from your thryoid problem? Or could it be adrenal? I wake up so light headed (I do take 15 mg Dalmane - sometimes 30 mg). But right now if I don't get up in the middle of night and eat something, feels like my blood sugar is off even with numbers in the 70s. I am having a hard time figuring out whether to wait until I see my endo again, or go to my internist.
Avatar f tn Anyone have any suggestions on how to rid my hypoglycemia. Its gotten so bad! Oh and I got my thyroid removed in 2003. I only have 10% left and am 27/F I just got my blood work done yesterday. Below are the results. T3,free: 2.9 T4 free: 0.43 (low) T3 total: 122 Tsh: 1.
Avatar f tn If it does not then you will have to consult a doctor to run tests to rule out thyroid problems, ear problems, pinched cervical spinal nerves, epilepsies, heart problems, etc. Take care!
Avatar n tn My 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with Hashimotos and sever Hypoglycemia at the same time, is there a link between these two disorders?

1523917 tn?1302215871 so, what can cause these things to happen and is there anything else I need to know about hypoglycemia?
Avatar n tn If not, I would go back to your PCP and request a full panel blood test for thyroid, metabolic panel, adrenals and Vit D and DHEA and B12. I would not wait until May to get this done but keep your appt. with endo.
784382 tn?1376931040 Other causes are anemia, claustrophobia, GERD, hypoglycemia or low sugar and some endocrine problems. Endocrine problems, such as an underactive thyroid (called hypothyroidism), overactive thyroid (called hyperthyroidism), adrenal insufficiency (called Addison's disease), low blood sugar levels, and in some cases, diabetes, may lead to hypotension and hence lightheadedness and an off balance feeling. Certain types of epilepsies and seizures too can cause similar symptoms.
Avatar m tn I have been having problems with hypoglycemia and I was also have fatigue for the past couple months - my arms and legs felt tired and I feel like I was craving sleep. My doctor found my TSH was 9.8 (5.4 high limit normal). All other blood panel items were normal including fasting insulin. He started me on 50mg levothyroxine. 2 days after I started taking levothyroxine, I felt like I had ALOT of energy, more than I've had in years. I've felt this way for 2 weeks.

Avatar n tn I had hyperthyroidism I had the radiation pill to kill my thyroid completely, well now I take a pil everyday to regulate, and I have had my levels checked and they are normal but I am always tired and always hungry and can't lose weight, and when I do start to get hungry I start to feel shaky and kinda of nauseaus so I hurry up and grab whatever is fast and can fix that feeling the fastest What should I do?
20853006 tn?1547666489 I have had some night sweats, weight loss (I still eat a lot of food), and eye problems. I am also wondering if ebv could have brought these problems out. I am not sure if I have ebv, but I see a lot of issues that I am dealing with that could possibly be connected to ebv. I know of a few people in my family that have had to get thyroid surgery. I noticed that a lot of my problems started happening when I was extremely stressed out during the beginning of my pregnancy.
Avatar n tn is essential to balance blood sugar - deficiency is strongly linked to hypoglycemia, insulin resistance, pre diabetes and diabetes; a common deficiency symptom with a thyroid imbalance (notably hypothyroidism); causes high blood pressure. Avatar n tn This is not common with thyroid problems - and if your levels are normal, it is even more difficult to make the connection between thyroid and persistent 'dizziness'. Reactive hypoglycemia can cause light-headedness, sweating, nausea --- these are relieved by eating. Usually it is not a "room spinning" dizziness in these patients.

414383 tn?1217215569 You have also mentioned of joint pains, hypoglycemia and thyroid problems. Infections have to be ruled out here first. The joint pains may be a focus of the infection. If redness and swelling are noted in the joints then autoimmune disease and viral infections need to be ruled out. Have you been worked up by an internist lately? I feel that you need to be assessed by an infectious disease specialist.
Avatar f tn Your thyroid problems as well as mine are the result of hep c.I have inquired from my endocrinologist and my hepologist if my normal thyroid function would return now that I am finally negative (I am 7 weeks into sovaldi-olysio)and both told me it won't to my dismay.

It can also be an anxiety and panic attack. It is really difficult to comment on the net.
