Avatar f tn t think hypoglycemia has specifically been linked to MS, there was some research happening with MS and Diabetes a few years ago and another looking for an association with blood sugar and disability rates...
Avatar f tn Take Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks, caffeine, and spicy food. See if this helps. Also get your BP checked to see if it is not too high or too low. It can also be stress and lack of proper sleep. If it does not then you will have to consult a doctor to run tests to rule out thyroid problems, ear problems, pinched cervical spinal nerves, epilepsies, heart problems, etc. Take care!
Avatar n tn Avoid too much of tea, coffee, smoking and spicy food. Take up yoga, deep breathing exercise, walking and remain strong and happy. Music and aerobics are also good stress busters. Drink plenty of fluids and water (not caffeine), eat fresh fruits and vegetables and keep yourself busy throughout the day.

Avatar n tn And getting up multiple times in the night and peeing a lot. I felt rather confused and just weird and nauseated at these times. I even ran to the gas station at 3am to get more sugar. I sweat a lot too be it at work, or my hair is drenched in the morning or my clothes. I went to the doctor 4 weeks ago and they did two regular blood tests and I was normal. I bought a glucometer and started testing yesterday. Dinner yesterday- 76 before, 88 after.
Avatar n tn Sounds like you could also be having some anxiety from quitting smoking also. That will pass. I would make sure your sugar wasn't high also. Make sure you don't eat too much as a replacement for smoking. Keep busy and stay away from smokers for now. Congratulations on quitting!!
Avatar f tn An intravenous blood sample to test your blood sugar level at the time of these signs and symptoms is the only way to know for sure that hypoglycemia is the cause. It's my guess that's what it was and after you ate the apple you felt better. Please see your doctor just to be sure!
Avatar f tn Tremors or rocking sensations are often associated with drugs, alcohol, smoking, lack of sleep, poor sleep patterns, stress and fatigue. You smoke and must be doing this quite a lot to produce such symptoms. Along with this you may be having either stress or a sleep problem.
Avatar f tn Thyroid problems (hyperthyroidism), lung disease, reactive hypoglycemia, viral infections, and smoking can trigger A-Fib. Smoking cigarettes raises the risk of developing A-Fib even if one stops smoking, possibly because past smoking leaves behind permanent fibrotic damage to the atrium which makes later A-Fib more likely.
Avatar n tn Shaky hands can be due to stress and anxiety, too much consumption of caffeine or alcohol, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), autoimmune disease like multiple sclerosis, thyroid disorders, nerve compression, and liver disease. Cut down on smoking, alcohol and coffee, if you take them in more quantity. Eat on time. Do deep breathing exercises. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
Avatar n tn It is possible to feel tremors all over the body. Tremors are often associated with drugs, alcohol, smoking, lack of sleep, poor sleep patterns, stress and fatigue. They can be seen in peripheral neuropathies of diabetes, in hyperthyroidism, parasomnia, multiple sclerosis, TIAs or transient ischemic attacks or mini strokes, hypoglycemia, disorders of calcium metabolism, hyperparathyroidism etc. Certain epilepsies too could be the cause. Consult an internal medicine specialist or your PCP.
1773104 tn?1314155711 Certainly hypoglycemia can trigger anxiety and panic, but rarely would it be the sole cause behind it. It is common for someone new to anxiety to do serious soul searching to try and find a logical "reason" behind the new emergence of anxiety and panic. We turn into detectives and try to find a sensible reason why it showed up (most times seemingly "out of the blue").

Avatar n tn well this could be the hypoglycemia, i too have it but dont often have symptoms because i eat constantly and eat candy often. but i am no doctor so you should definately ask your doctor about it. hypoglycemia seems to be thought of as not serious, but in fact its just as serious as diabetes, and also can progress like diabetes. you may have been told this 5 years ago but it may have progressed to a higher level. it could be worse. you need to have your doctor check your blood sugar levels.
Avatar f tn If the EKG and heart scan—you probably mean ECHO were normal—and it is important you got an EKG/ECG done, then yes, you can assume it was due to acidity. Other possibilities are hypoglycemia and low blood pressure. Especially since you had only salads for dinner—you could be low on sugar. Take something for acidity. Eat small frequent meals. Avoid spicy food, alcohol, smoking, fuzzy drinks. Take care!

Avatar f tn Endocrine gland related conditions like hyperthyroidism, acromegaly and glucose control disorders (diabetes and hypoglycemia both) all result in increased sweating and heat in the body. Diabetes your husband has. Pheochromocytoma, cancers, carcinoid syndromes, tuberculosis and other infections too can cause increased sweating and heat. It can also be due to low blood pressure. Get his thyroid and adrenal gland function tested also. Avoid too much of tea, coffee, smoking and spicy food.
Avatar n tn Have you had a glucose tolerance test to see if your body produces too much insulin as a reaction when you eat? This is a different test from having a simple blood sugar test -- you must drink a sugary solution and blood is drawn several times to see how your body is reacting. Unfortunately, when people have what is called REACTIVE HYPOGLYCEMIA (when the body reacts by over-producing insulin, which causes hypoglycemia), it can be difficult to show in a test.
