Avatar n tn The answer will depend on age and medical conditions. I would recommend you talk with your physician about what is best for you.
Avatar n tn Though a rare disorder, pancreatic insulinomas should also be thought of in your case and have someone check your blood sugar while you eat. The hypoglycemia in this is transient following food and there is a quick increase in blood glucose once you eat. With rice the sugar could be fluctuating more. Hence it is important to monitor blood sugar after meals at varying intervals.
Avatar n tn reactive (postprandial, or after meals) and fasting (postabsorptive). Reactive hypoglycemia is not usually related to any underlying disease; fasting hypoglycemia often is. Symptoms Symptoms of both types resemble the symptoms that people with diabetes and hypoglycemia experience: hunger, nervousness, perspiration, shakiness, dizziness, light-headedness, sleepiness, confusion, difficulty speaking, and feeling anxious or weak.

I won't go into them for its another whole subject. If it were me with TSH level as yours, I would not want to be treated and take pills.

Avatar m tn I have been tested for autoimmune disorders, thyroid problems, infectious diseases, diabetes/hypoglycemia, and many other diseases/conditions. I have been misdiagnosed multiple times in the past. I am 100% percent sure that my symptoms are circulatory related. It seems that something is preventing enough blood to reach my brain and lower extremities, causing these symptoms. What disorders would cause my hands and feet to become dark blue and itchy like that?
Avatar f tn Hypoglycemia and bilirubin in urine showed up this year during yearly exam. Was concerned that maybe they were related to BC but with B9 results now I'm not sure.

Avatar f tn Dizziness is seen in headaches, migraines, and anemia, cardiac conditions like hypo and hypertension, arrhythmias, metabolic conditions like hypoglycemia. It can manifest when you stand upright from prolonged lying down position. The doctor would do a clinical assessment and certain blood tests to find the cause for this. Headaches also could indicate high blood pressure, hypoglycemia, stress, migraines, and cluster and tension headaches.
Avatar n tn Hypoglycemia and diabetes are two different conditions. I will share with you my knowledge of both. Hypoglycemia occurs when a persons pancreas produces too much insulin and their blood sugar drops low enough to produce symptoms of a low blood sugar that may include shakiness, sweating or clammy feeling, or mental confusion. When this happens, glucose needs to be given to raise the blood sugar to a normal level.
Avatar n tn Increased sweating is seen in hyperthyroidism and involves mainly the head and neck region. Other endocrine gland related conditions like acromegaly and glucose control disorders (diabetes and hypoglycemia both) all result in increased sweating. Pheochromocytoma, cancers, carcinoid syndromes, tuberculosis and other infections too can cause increased sweating. It can also be due to low blood pressure. Get your adrenal gland function tested also. Wear loose clothes.
Avatar n tn Hi, For 20 years I have been having these strange symptoms I am hoping somebody in the forum can shed some light on them. The symptoms come in periods of weeks to months at a time but then go away for equally long periods of time.
