206807 tn?1331936184 Since changing to Norco my intake has doubled and has me concerned. I know they both have same amount of hydrocodone but does Lorcet work longer because of the Acetaminophen? Does the Acetaminophen slower the disribution of hydrocodone? The Norco seems to work faster but the Lorcet seems to work longer. Any input?
Avatar m tn and they told me I have Epididymitis. The doctor perscribed Naproxen 500mg twice a day, Levaquin 500mg once a day and Hydrocodone 500mg for pain as needed. The testical has gotten bigger since I went in ( as i expected ) because I caught it so early. My question is about the Naproxen.... I do not like the way it makes me feel when I take it. I get kind of anxious, even kind of depressed, and just on edge it seems after I've taken it. Is that normal?
1807779 tn?1333840302 The list I got of things that conflict with Gabapentin includes hydrocodone (Hydrocet, Vicodin, etc), morphene (Avinza, Kadian, Msir, etc), and naproxen (Aleve, Anaprox, Naproxyn, etc). Also, antacids cannot be taken within 2 hours before or after taking Gabapentin, it lower's the body's ability to absorb Gabapentin. What's on the bottle is Tramadol/acet, so yup, it's the same thing I guess.
Avatar m tn I get urine drug tested every month when i go to get my prescriptions from a pain management clinic. I have tested positive for either Hydrocodone or Oxycontin the last 6 times I tested. I havent taken Hydrocodone in 5 years and Ive never taken Oxycontin. The dr doesnt believe me and Im probably gonna be released because of it. I cant make him believe me. Can anyone tell me if any of the following drugs can give a false positive for Hydrocodone or Oxycontin.
507619 tn?1211845850 Do you really think hydrocodone will relieve a migraine? Normally, that's not a substance that does well for that type of problem. I honestly couldn't say about withdrawals. Withdrawing yourself from taking more would be my greatest concern.
Avatar f tn My brother is on welfare and the doctors at the clinic have given him the following meds. Tramadol 50 mg, Trazadone 50mg,Amitriptyline 10mg, cyclobenzaprine 10mg, Hydrocodone/APAP 5mg/500mg. In addition he was also given medication for Diabetes Type II, metformin 850 mg, glipizide 5mg, lisinopril 5 mg, simvastatin 20mg, Asprin 81 mg, Ranitidine 150 mg. Additionally he was also prescribed Naproxen 500mg and Alumina Magnesia 360 ml. I think this is too much medication. Any suggestions?
Business man2 mineral tablet (“A to Z” brand), - 1 raspberry keytone (sold by Walgreens), - 2 fish oil soft gels 1200mg (Walgreens brand) , - 2 ibuprofen (200mg each) usually, OR 2 acetaminophen (500mg each), OR 2 naproxen sodium (220mg each), OR 1 Rx meloxicam 15mg. (Pain killer taken for residual pain from knee being “scoped” 1/20/12) What is the doctor’s opinion?
699217 tn?1323438700 I wanted to know what the difference is between hydrocodone and like-oxycontin or oxycodone, Percocet, tramadol, is this all just types of hydrocodone? All I ever took was hydrocodone....
Avatar n tn Not really any difference. Vicoprofen has Ibuprofen with the Hydrocodone. Vicodin has Tylenol. Strength would be the same if they both were the same dose.
Avatar n tn No constapation and been taking ibprofin for pain
Avatar m tn on day 10....today my doctor prescribed me Naproxen for my chronic back pain. I know I could search this, but would rather ask anyone with any experience with it's use. Good idea or not to use after 10 days clean. I dont even know if it's a "mild" narcotic or not, however I believe it's similar to Aleeve. Advice? thanks in advance.
Avatar n tn I was taking hydrocodone 10-325 for the last 3 weeks 2 every 4 hours for pain from total knee replacement. I went to doc and he said to start to ween off of them and replace with tylenol for the pain. I didn't understand that weening was the important word. I just wanted to be done and so on tuesday morning at 1:00am this was my last dose. Well needless to say I started having terrible withdrawal symptoms which I didn't even know what was happening.
Avatar n tn Two months ago as a pedestrian hit by a drunk driver suffering no broken bones (parking lot at noon, low speed) but severe right knee and leg injuries. Hydrocodone taken every 4 hours the 500mg tab with Naproxen twice daily. Two weeks ago started having pain in upper right quadrant radiating through to back. Terrible headaches, severe pain through injured knee area with great upwelling of bruising continued through physical therapy. Waves of nausea.
Avatar f tn avisg is our resident expert on Trams. Vicodin is also an opiate. It is Hydrocodone and addictive as all opiates are. On the addiction scale Vics are not as strong as other opiates. Why do you ask?
403399 tn?1201833095 The only reason why Tramadol (Ultracet, Ultram, etc.) is not considered a narcotic is because at the moment it is unscheduled in the USA and pretty much everywhere else. It is fairly new being researched and first put on the market in the 90's.
Avatar n tn You also really really need to watch for the acetaminophen (Tylenol; APAP, Paracetamol)) that is in any hydrocodone (Vicodin, Lortab, Norco) or oxycodone (Percocet, Endoce) compounds in the US and many other places. If you have cirrhosis, no more than 2000-mg/day That is spread out over 24 'running' hours and not taking 2000-mg at 11pm and 2000-mg more at 1am. I know how addicts think from my own personal battles! And no more than 4000-mg for 'normal' people.
